Throughout this technical manual, various symbols are used that indicate instructions and warnings for use, maintenance and assembly. Pay attention to these symbols to avoid hazardous situations and ensure the correct use and assembly of all components.

By law, we offer either a two-year LEGAL WARRANTY or a warranty valid for the legal period established in your country. ORBEA warranties all products it manufactures and/or distributes against any non-conformity issues for the first two years after their purchase. This warranty is only valid for the original buyer of the product, who shall have the right, in the event of any lack of conformity, to the repair and/or replacement of the defective product, completely free of charge for the affected user.

The meaning of these symbols is explained below. In this manual, the symbol may appear accompanied only by the relevant instruction for the component described. Read the following information carefully in order to understand their meanings.

The symbols DANGER and WARNING inform about a dangerous situation that, if not avoided, may cause an accident. An accident while riding a bicycle always poses risk of serious injury or even death. In this manual, the risk of death may therefore not always be mentioned when these symbols appear, since the risk is explained here.

FIBER CARBON GRIP

GREASE: High quality assembly grease to avoid creaking and seizing. CARBON PASTE: Carbon fiber assembly compound to increase friction between carbon fiber components. LOCTITE SERIES 600: Fixing cylindrical surfaces. LOCTITE SERIES 200: Threadlock. Medium resistance. LOCTITE SERIES 400: Instant adhesive.

Likewise, this warranty also specifically covers paint, varnish and corrosion defects on all frames and rigid forks assembled on our bicycles during the period specified in the first paragraph of this warranty. This legal warranty from Orbea is fully compatible with the legal and sales warranties offered by the manufacturers and dealers of the individual components of other brands assembled on our bicycles, and in the case of any lack of conformity of any of these said components, the user must process the individual warranty claim for these components directly with said manufacturers or dealers Consult the full terms and conditions of the legal warranty on our web: www.orbea.com/gb-en/warranty/

03 SAFETY WARNINGS TORQU E S ETT INGS Always follow the recommended torque settings for the components in this manual. Not observing the correct torque settings may cause the components to fail, which may lead to accidents resulting in serious injuries.

HEA DS ET S PAC ERS Never install more headset spacers below the stem than the maximum recommended in the bicycle´s technical manual. Consult the bicycle´s Bluepaper in the manuals section on our website to find out the maximum number of headset spacers that an Orbea frame allows for. Installing more headset spacers than the maximum allowed may stress the materials beyond the use they were designed for, which may cause breakages that may lead to accidents and serious injuries.

Never install headset spacers above the stem. Placing spacers above the stem, especially on forks with a carbon steerer tube, can cause the carbon expander inside the fork tube to be positioned above the lower limit of the steerer tube, which can stress the materials beyond the use for which they were designed, possibly causing accidents and serious injuries. The length of the fork steerer tube must always be appropriate for the position of the stem in the fork. The stem must always be installed in the steerer tube of the fork so that both fastening bolts on the back of the stem are positioned above the surface of the steerer tube of the fork. Never mount the stem so that the top fastening bolt of the stem remains above the top edge of the fork steerer tube. This will stress the materials beyond the use for which they were designed, possibly causing accidents and serious injuries.

A lo largo de este manual técnico, se utilizan varios símbolos que detallan instrucciones y advertencias de uso, mantenimiento y montaje. Presta atención a estos símbolos para evitar situaciones peligrosas y asegurar el uso y montaje correcto de todos los componentes.

Orbea ofrece al propietario original de la bicicleta Orbea, horquilla rígida o el componente OC una garantía legal de 2 años desde el momento de la compra del artículo, o el periodo estipulado como garantía legal en el país de compra. Esta garantía cubre todos los productos de Orbea frente a defectos de fabricación y/o falta de conformidad y garantiza la reparación o sustitución del producto defectuoso sin coste adicional para el cliente afectado. Igualmente, esta garantía cubre también los defectos de pintura, barniz y corrosión de todos los cuadros y horquillas rígidas que montamos en nuestras bicicletas por el periodo especificado en el párrafo anterior de esta garantía.

El significado de estos símbolos se explica a continuación. En este manual, puede que el símbolo aparezca acompañado únicamente de la instrucción relevante para el componente en que describe. Lee la siguiente información con atención para entender su significado.

03 ADVERTENCIAS DE USO PA RES DE A P RIETE Siempre comprueba los pares de apriete e instala los componentes descritos en este manual siguiendo las indicaciones del par de apriete. Sigue las indicaciones de pares de apriete para componentes de otros fabricantes instalados en tu bicicleta Orbea. No observar estas indicaciones puede conducir a la falla de los componentes, accidentes e incluso la muerte.

S EPA RA DORES DE DIREC C IÓN Nunca uses más separadores de dirección debajo de la potencia que los indicados para el cuadro. Consulta las tablas de especificaciones del manual técnico de la bicicleta para saber el número máximo de separadores de dirección que admite un cuadro Orbea. Instalar más separadores que los permitidos puede forzar los materiales más allá del uso para los que fueron diseñados, lo que puede provocar accidentes y lesiones graves.

Nunca instales separadores de dirección por encima de la potencia. Colocar separadores por encima de la potencia, especialmente en horquillas con el tubo de dirección de carbono, puede provocar que el expansor de dirección dentro del tubo de la horquilla quede posicionado por encima del límite inferior de la potencia, lo que puede forzar los materiales más allá del uso para los que fueron diseñados, potencialmente provocando accidentes y lesiones graves. La longitud del tubo de dirección de la horquilla siempre debe ser el adecuado para la posición de la potencia en la horquilla. La potencia siempre debe instalarse en el tubo de dirección de la horquilla de manera que ambos tornillos de amarre de la zona posterior de la potencia estén posicionados sobre el tubo de dirección de la horquilla. Nunca montes la potencia de tal manera que el tornillo superior de amarre de la potencia al tubo de dirección quede más arriba del borde superior del tubo de dirección de la horquilla. Esto forzará los materiales más allá del uso para los que fueron diseñados, potencialmente provocando accidentes y lesiones graves.

ALMACENAJE DE MULTI HERRAMIENTA EN EL INTERIOR DEL MANILLAR

El manillar OC3 permite el almacenamiento interno en los extremos del manillar de multiherramientas compatibles de hasta 18mm de grosor. Introduce tu multi herramienta compatible en el interior de los extremos del manillar OC3 y fíjala en posición mediante el método de instalación de la herramienta instalada para que permanezca segura durante el uso de la bicicleta.
