Na honderden aanmeldingen, maanden van selecties en talloze werkbezoekjes aan Milaan krijgt Ventura Lambrate 2016 langzaam vorm. De designbeurs in de modehoofdstad van Italië in april komt al aangenaam dichtbij, dus is het de hoogste tijd voor de bekendmaking van de eerste thema’s. En gelukkig kregen wij die zojuist op onze virtuele mat. THINKING TRADITIONS Het erfgoed van de wereld draagt een hele hoop aan tradities met zich mee. Of het nu gaat om familietradities, geloofsgebruiken of andere rituelen, ze worden als een soort erfenis doorgegeven; iets wat ontwerpers vaak genoeg inspireert. Zo beïnvloeden de traditionele eetceremonies van nomaden uit eigen thuisland, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten, designer Tinkah LLC. No Sauna, een groep ontwerpers uit Denemarken, wil juist een tegendeel bewijzen en de traditie breken met het iconische Deense design - en zo verder denken dan stereotypen.

ACADEMIES Het tweede thema kijkt juist vooruit: naar academies, waar de toekomst van design ligt. Van Japan tot Mexico en weer terug naar Thailand nemen academies wereldwijd deel aan Ventura Lambrate. Maar liefst 27 om precies te zijn, waaronder THINKING TRADITIONS onze eigen Design Academy Eindhoven, het Koning Willem I college in Den Bosch en Het erfgoed van de wereld draagt een hele hoop aan tradities met zich mee. Of het de designafdeling van het HKU. nu gaat om familietradities, geloofsgebruiken of andere rituelen, ze worden als een soort erfenis doorgegeven; iets wat ontwerpers vaak genoeg inspireert. Andiamo! Nog minder dan één weekje en Ventura Lambrate opent zijn deuren voor je. Hoogste tijd om als designliefhebber koers te zetten richting Milaan dus. Het designdistrict Lambrate staat tijdens Salone del Mobile, bol van projecten, installaties, exposities, cross-overs met andere disciplines en nog veel meer. Vanaf 12 april krijg je vijf dagen lang de tijd om meer dan 160 internationale exposanten te ontdekken. De zevende editie alweer, en hij wordt er niet minder op met de jaren. Ci vediamo lì? Design Week 2016. Ventura Lambrate, la mappa tra Milano e Nord Europa Dal 12 al 17 aprile torna il Fuorisalone. Il quartiere è alla sua settima partecipazione, tra designer, accademie e giovani talenti da Olanda, Norvegia e addirittura Lapponia. Ecco cosa vedere e dove andare Milano - Venerdi 11 marzo 2016 Da martedì 12 a domenica 17 aprile 2016, in concomitanza con il Salone del Mobile, torna immancabile il Fuorisalone. Sempre più cool e ricca di eventi la zona Ventura Lambrate, quartiere storicamente residenziale che giunge alla sua settima partecipazione alla Design Week. Nato nel 2009, il progetto si basa sull'idea della selezione, unita alla capacità di fare molto con poco. In Ventura Lambrate avviene così anche durante l'edizione 2016 un autentico incontro fra le caratteristiche dell'approccio olandese al mondo del design e quelle italiane. Delle oltre 630 application ricevute, autocandidate per partecipare alle iniziative della zona, sono ben 176 quelle selezionate, 30 le nazionalità rappresentate. Numerosi i designer che, dopo aver preso parte alla kermesse in passato, tornano con nuovi progetti, concept e prodotti da presentare a Ventura Lambrate 2016. Tra questi Studio Molen, Lensvelt, Robert Bronwasser, con il progetto Home, in via Ventura 15, in cui presenta un mobile per ciascuna delle quattro funzioni del living, sedersi, mangiare, dormire e lavarsiPresenti anche 27 accademie: su tutte, troviamo in via Ventura 14 l'University of Lapland che fa sperimentare al pubblico milanese le condizioni di vita estreme dell'Artico; il VIA University College presenta invece una mostra dedicata al tatto con progetti degli studenti sviluppati attorno a questo tema.

Lo diciamo spesso, la design week di Milano non è solo Salone del Mobile. Durante la settimana che ospiterà la fiera dell'arredamento nella zona Rho, la città si animerà infatti anche grazie ad una serie di eventi interessanti, organizzati per l'atteso Fuorisalone 2016. Uno degli appuntamenti che da qualche anno sta attirando gli appassionati di arte, design e relativi nomi di nicchia del panorama internazionale, è certamente Ventura Lambrate, che si prepara ad aprire il sipario sulla sua settima edizione. Il quartiere Lambrate, sempre più vivo e attento alle nuove tendenze del lifestyle e della cultura a 360°, quella che, tanto per capirci, sceglie come location perfetta le vecchie fabbriche di Milano, anche per quest'anno è pronto a dare la sua personale definizione di Fuorisalone.

n zona Ventura Lambrate, la Design Week 2016 sarà dedicata a quei designer che hanno raggiunto il consenso internazionale tramite le passate collaborazioni con questo distretto. Inoltre questo ha voluto ampliare ancora di più la sua caratteristica internazionalità, ospitando espositori da più di 29 Paesi diversi nell’ottica di potenziare ancora di più la dimensione

globale – e trasversale – dell’evento.

Tra i temi prescelti, particolarmente interessanti risultano “Thinking traditions” e “Academies”.

Il primo, considerando le tradizioni come punto di partenza di ogni innovazione, permette ai progetti di Tinkah LLC, del gruppo finlandese No Sauna e di molti altri designer di superare i canoni tradizionali del design con nuove ed eccitanti interpretazioni. “Academies” invece si propone di aumentare la consapevolezza delle tendenze di design odierne attraverso l’esposizione dei progetti degli studenti di 27 tra le più importanti accademie di design del mondo. Qualche nome? VIA DESIGN, Royal Academy of Art e University of Lapland.

La settima di VenturaWeek Lambrate è il risultato Ventura Lambrate animaedizione della Design milanese 2016 | DomiMagazine – info eccellenze ital di un lavoro incondizionato, di un forte legame con la città di Milano e crediamo sia stato un forte impulso per la rinascita di un quartiere che è oggi tra i più interessanti di Milano.

Norwegian Crafts Il progetto .Structure., fortemente voluto dal mondo dell.artigianato e del design norvegese presenta il lavoro di 26 progettisti norvegesi. L.esposizione sarà composta da prodotti, progetti e prototipi, mobili, ceramiche, per una mostra che spazierà dall’illuminazione ai tessuti fino agli accessori per interni. Baars & Bloemhoff, azienda che offre oltre 2500 finiture, oltre ad essere un partner interessantissimo per architeti e interior designer, si presenta a Milano, per la prima volta, con una collezione. Studio Mieker Meijer, De Intuitiefabriek, Lex Pott, Visser & Maijwaard, Os Oss e Michiel Martens si sono sfidati nella progettazione di una collezione basata sulla gamma materiali decorativi Baars & Bloemhoff.

Durante la conferenza stampa di presentazione di Ventura Lambrate 2016, tre espositori hanno raccontato dal vivo i loro progetti: Simone Post e Iwan Pol – Simone Post è una textile e product designer olandese. Al centro del suo lavoro si trovano la sperimentazione sui materiali e l’ammirazione per il modo in cui sono fatti gli oggetti. Iwan Pol è un designer multidisciplinare che si concentra sulla percezione umana della materia, le emozioni che possono essere scatenate da una forma, uno spazio o un matria sono il punto di partenza per il suo metodo di ricerca. La settima edizione di Ventura Lambrate (http://www.venturaprojects.com/ventura-lambrate-2016) è il risultato di un lavoro incondizionato, di un forte legame con la città di Milano ed è stato un forte impulso per la rinascita di un quartiere che è oggi tra i più interessanti di Milano. Nato nel 2009, il progetto si basa sull’idea della selezione, unita alla capacità di fare molto con poco, con spirito leggero e dinamico. Ventura Lambrate rappresenta un incontro vincente fra le caratteristiche dell’approccio olandese al mondo del design e del fuorisalone e quelle più tipicamente italiane e milanesi. Per questa edizione Organisation in Design (http://www.organisationindesign.com/) (lo studio che organizza e cura Ventura Lambrate) ha ricevuto oltre 630 application e ne ha selezionate circa 160, di 29 nazionalità diverse. Quest’anno il distretto ospita il ritorno di designer che hanno già preso parte al progetto in passato. Aver partecipato allo show ha permesso a diversi espositori di allacciare contatti significativi e iniziare trattative e progetti concreti. Ora lavorano a nuovi prodotti e concept che lanceranno a nell’edizione 2016. Da anni Ventura Lambrate è il distretto delle Accademie e, in questa occasione, presenta per la prima volta circa 25 accademie. Il tema occupa un posto speciale nel progetto, perché il lavoro delle Accademie è una delle principali ragioni per cui esiste Ventura Lambrate. Si tratta di progetti generalmente puri, originali, coraggiosi e idealistici. Che mostrano un nuovo approccio al futuro. Il distretto si sforza da sempre di restare fedele alla propria mission originaria: mettere a disposizione di talenti emergenti e out of the box thinkers una piattaforma dove condividere il loro lavoro con il mondo. 

Thinking traditions, Academies Ventura-Lambrate Con un countdown che ci avvicina inesorabilmente alla prossima design week milanese, uno dei distretti più significativi del Fuori Salone, Ventura Lambrate, ha appena annunciato i temi attorno ai quali prenderà forma per il 2016 la proposta curatoriale dell’intero circuito, costituito quest’anno da 176 espositori (su 639 domande ricevute ad Organization in Design, l’agenzia olandese, capitanata da Margriet Vollenberg, da sette edizioni a capo dell’evento). Saranno “Tradizione” e “Accademia” a fare da fil rouge ai lavori di scuole, aziende e progettisti che presenteranno dal 12 al 17 aprile le proprie anteprime. Un paradosso, se vogliamo, per il distretto che ha dato spazio e poi “istituzionalizzato” in un format il design emergente e underground a Milano. Tuttavia, non c’è di che stupirsene: se le scuole sono da tempo una riserva di idee e provocazioni – anche pretestuose, seppur inappuntabili nei contenuti: ricordiamo la mostra “Eat Shit” della Design Academy Eindhoven dello scorso anno -, la rilettura della tradizione e delle lavorazioni artigianali fanno parte di una new wave con cui si confronta proprio il design autoprodotto che qui è di casa. DALLA FINLANDIA AGLI EMIRATI ARABI UNITI Molte le anticipazioni di interesse. La Finlandia e gli Emirati Arabi Uniti presenteranno rispettivamente le esposizioni “No Sauna” e “Constructed Feast”, il primo dedicato a smontare lo stereotipo della tristezza del design nordico, il secondo un’indagine sulle abitudini gastronomiche e relativi servizi per la tavola nei Paesi del Golfo. La Royal Academy of Art The Hague ha in cantiere un programma ambizioso: lo showcase dei suoi studenti, intitolato “Reset”, allestirà un appartamento privato negli spazi industriali di un’ex fabbrica di souvenir religiosi. E, proprio in questo contesto inusuale, il pubblico sarà invitato a ripensare ex novo le istanze sociali e ambientali con cui il design si confronta e agisce. Confermata quindi la presenza di alcuni capisaldi nel distretto, tra cui le 21

This international call goes out to those who have creative valuable projects in mind. Designers and labels who are enthusiastic of showcasing their creation to a knowledgeable and well connected audience must register their interest. Educational institutions also form a major participation in this event which exposes young designers to hands down the most prestigious and famed furniture show of the world for last more than 50 years – Milan Design Week. DE: Margriet Vollenberg, can you present yourself to our creative audience and share with us what fascinates you the most in the design industry, as to create one of the most successful design shows in Milan? MV: With a vision in mind to be the link between creatives and the design industry, I decided to create Ventura Lambrate 7 years ago. I liv ed in Milan for many years and worked at the Salone del Mobile, which sparked my enthusiasm to start something different there. I have 16 years of experience in the design industry and more importantly in bringing great design to the attention of trend spotters and industry specifiers helping young designers and talents to sparkle in the industry. DE: We are curious to know what themes for the upcoming edition will be revealed? In a sense what are your main criteria during the selection process?

Il fuorisalone di Ventura Lambrate | Milano Design Week

Che sia il “l’altro lato” della Milano Design Week si sa da tempo: i giovani studenti e i designers stranieri che incontri per le strade sono tanti, ma nonostante l’annuale invasione di addetti ai lavori, giornalisti e appassionati, l’area che ruota intorno a via Ventura mantiene il ritmo abituale del quartiere e quello spirito un po’ old style che ci piace tanto.

Ventura Lambrate è da sempre il distretto della settimana del design milanese più informale, meno patinato e più alternativo, quello dove si trovano le mostre delle scuole e delle accademie di design europee, dei marchi più piccoli, degli artisti che arrivano a Milano a presentare i loro lavori più sperimentali, dei designers autocostruttori. Gli spazi che accolgono tutto questo sono piccole gallerie ricavate nelle ex botteghe, i garage, ma soprattutto l’affascinante insieme degli spazi dismessi delle industrie che qui avevano sede prima che iniziasse il processo di deindustrializzazione e dismissione, a partire dalla fine degli anni ’70.

Anders dan bij de Salone del Mobile staat voor de exposerende ontwerpers op de Ventura Like Lambrate alleen het eindresultaat, maar ook het proces zelf centraal. 187K nietZoeken Ze gunnen de bezoekers een inkijk in de totstandkoming, de materiaalkeuzes en de twijfels. In tegenstelling tot de andere ontwerpen smelt dit natuurlijke design juist. design

De zin ‘maybe blue would have been better’ komt van de gelijknamige tentoonstelling door Mieke Meijer en Jeroen Wand. Beide ontwerpers zijn aan de slag gegaan met een geheel eigen project en hebben de resultaten tegenover elkaar gezet in dezelfde ruimte. De architectonische lichtelementen van Meijer contrasteren op fraaie wijze met Wands ‘landschap’ van gelaagde gipsen vazen.

Met haar serie Space Frames borduurt Meijer voort op een kast die ze voor de expositie Transitions van Baars & Bloemhoff. Evenals de Airframe 01 bestaan de objecten uit een houten structuur die is gecombineerd met een textielsoort die werd gebruikt in de vroegste jaren van de vliegtuigindustrie. Transitions is overigens ook te zien op de Ventura Lambrate en behoort volgens het online platform Architonic tot de beste bijdragen aan de Milan Design Week. Tweede generatie Niet geselecteerd, maar zeker de moeite waard is de presentatie van Label/Breed. Vorig jaar toonde het bedrijf prototypes van veelbelovende producten, dit jaar keerden de Amsterdammers terug met verkoopbare versies en een ‘tweede generatie’. Zo heeft de door Marleen Kaptein ontworpen Fibre Placement Chair een betaalbaarder broertje gekregen, dat is gemaakt van de afval die ontstaat bij de productie van de carbonstoel zelf. Onder hen Robert Bronwasser (die zijn woningbrede collectie Home heeft gelanceerd), Fraai Werk (The Stranded Collection, bestaande uit lasergesneden en daardoor zeer flexibele metalen lampen) en Studio Molen (met het sculpturale Lost in Traffic, in de lijn van zijn eerder City Lights, bijvoorbeeld). Ontwerpscollectief envisions laat een inspirerende verzameling ‘products in progress’ zien. Boring Collection Meubelproducent Lensvelt steelt op bedoeld-onbedoelde wijze de show met de Boring Collection. Salone del Mobile e Fuorisalone 2016: Milano diventa capitale del design

Milano, 7 aprile 2016 - La festa tra le installazioni scenografiche e artistiche in Statale, organizzata da Interni nei chiostri quattrocenteschi della Ca’ Granda in Via Festa del Perdono. Porta Venezia In Design con il suo itinerario che unisce art&design, food&wine nel segno delle suggestioni liberty. Grandi firme del design da scoprire nelle gallerie e negli spazi «open» di Brera Design District. I tanti appuntamenti all’insegna della moda, della cultura e della creatività che colorano la zona di via Tortona. Sono solo alcuni degli oltre mille eventi, dei quali 543 patrocinati dal Comune di Milano, che dal 12 al 17 aprile conquisteranno cittadini e turisti per la Design Week 2016, la settimana del Salone del Mobile e del Fuorisalone. Oltre 2.400 gli espositori distribuiti, oltre che alla Fiera di Milano, in 8 distretti del design e dell’innovazione in città: Brera, Tortona, 5 Vie, Porta Venezia San-Gregorio, San Babila, Statale, Sant’Ambrogio, Ventura e Lambrate. Questi i numeri della manifestazione presentata ieri all’Expo Gate dall’assessore alle Politiche per il lavoro, Moda e Design Cristina Tajani con il direttore generale del Salone del Mobile Marco Sabetta, Cristian Confalonieri, cofondatore di fuorisalone.it, Alberto Meomartini Vice Presidente della Camera di Commercio di Milano, Arianna Fontana Presidente Confartigianato Milano e Cesare Castelli di Milano Makers. L’attesa è per «oltre 300mila visitatori», ha spiegato l’assessore. Per orientarsi tra tutti gli appuntamenti, il Comune, in stretta collaborazione con gli attori protagonisti della Design Week, propone una mappa cartacea in italiano e inglese, con indicati i mezzi di trasporto e 23 punti di interesse (dalla Triennale alla Permanente fino alla nuovissima Base all’Ex Ansaldo e la Fabbrica del Vapore) tre app per smartphone (Salone del Mobile, Fuorisalone.it e, dal 12 aprile, Visit Milano) oltre al «progetto accoglienza» con 100 giovani volontari di Politecnico, Maba, Ied e Istituto Marangoni, che assisteranno i visitatori «nei punti nevralgici della città - ha spiegato Marco Sabetta - dagli aeroporti di Malpensa e Linate alla Stazione Centrale e alle principali stazioni della metropolitana». Durante la settimana, inoltre, saranno potenziati i mezzi pubblici e prolungato alle ore notturne il servizio di bike sharing di Atm. «Molti degli eventi organizzati per il Salone - afferma l’assessore Tajani - proseguiranno fino all’apertura della XXI Triennale». Per l’occasione torna ExpoinCittà, il contenitore online di eventi cittadini promosso durante l’Expo. Un progetto «che vede insieme Comune e Camera di Commercio - dice Alberto Meomartini - e permetterà il coordinamento di presentazioni e iniziative culturali per una città ancora più attrattiva».

Ex aree industriali convertite in studi di design e progettazione, digital agencies, studi fotografici e tutto ciò che di estremamente creativo può esistere. Consistenti opere di riqualificazione urbana hanno trasformato Ventura Lambrate nell’hub poliedrico-culturale di Milano, prima tra tutte il Fuorisalone. Il quartiere ha saputo cavalcare l’onda secondo la quale inserire la propria attività lavorativa all’interno di vecchie fabbriche in disuso è cool. A Ventura Lambrate si vive, si progetta e si produce tutto l’anno, ma il Fuorisalone è il periodo più carico di energia e voglia di ispirazione. Una settimana intensa, dal 12 al 17 aprile, per prendere parte ai migliori eventi in programma. Per partire “a tutto colore” c’è “Kiss My Name”, organizzato da Kassiewijle, collettivo di giovani designer ed artisti affermati, il cui obiettivo è quello di sfidare i limiti degli spazi interni. La collezione viene presentata con un allestimento multicolor, che chiede ai visitatori di sperimentare, interagire ed entrare in contatto con il prodotto. Non è ammesso limitarsi a guardare. In tema illuminazione da vedere è “Lighting” di Ocatvio Amado, che in occasione del Fuorisalone 2016 presenta FOLD, concept luminoso e sonoro. Si tratta di un sistema costruttivo modulare realizzato con materiale 100% ingifugo: diverse composizioni di luce a rischiarare il capannone di via Ventura 2. Al numero 5 di via Ventura ci sarà invece “Inside Wood”. Minimo comune denominatore dell’evento: l’albero. Celebri designer di arredi, artisti e grafici della Norvegia occidentale, assieme ai responsabili di ricerca ambientale della Bergen Academy of Art and Design, esporranno i loro caratteristici progetti. Il design talvolta nasce anche come risposta a problematiche sociali, è questo il caso di “Money, Meat and Plastic Surgery”. I tre designer Rolf Bruggink, Bora Hong e Isaac Monté scoprono di avere idee in comune e danno vita ad un’esposizione alquanto provocatoria, che colpisce nel segno generando discussione. La combinazione di elementi moderni e arredi tradizionali è invece la filosofia di NODO, che con “West and warp” basa la sua produzione sulla reinterpretazione dei concetti di design e tempo. At the other end of the career scale are the designers filling the various venues that make up Ventura Lambrate, where hundreds of new graduates present prototypes and small-batch products in spaces found throughout the Lambrate neighbourhood, in the city’s north end. One designer who caught our eye was Micha van der Palen, who we found standing next to her cork-surface bathtub – one of a dozen clever ideas that were part of the Dutch Slow Design exhibition at VL.

Milan Design Week has wrapped for another year and we’ve had a chance to download thousands of images snapped over the seven-day, city-wide event – the largest furniture fair in the world. Here are some of our favourite moments from Milan Design Week 2016. For one week each April, Milan turns into one of the most vibrant and beautiful cities imaginable. Salone del Mobile, now in its 56th year, brings with it hundreds of furniture-related events that fill the city’s streets, palazzos and university campuses. Even restaurants and shops devote spaces to celebrate design.

Milan Day Five: The Triennale, A Search Behind Appearances and Ventura Lambrate Milan 15 April 2016 The Salone del Mobile can easily fall into brashness. Production and presentation are the name of the game, and the Salone’s Rho fairgrounds its natural playing field. How pleasant then when the Salone throws up its quieter moments of introspection and selfanalysis. Chief amongst these is A Search Behind Appearances, Hella Jongerius and Louise Schouwenberg’s follow up to last year’s Beyond the New manifesto. Displayed in the windows of Milan’s La Rinascente department store and under the shadow of the Duomo (“at the crossroads of history, culture, and commerce,” quips Schouwenberg), A 1 / 5 Behind Appearances the closest Search DESIGN is MILAN 2016 thing this year’s Salone has to a conscience. It is one of the undoubted highlights of the week.

Similarly thoughtful was Takeo Paper Show, an exhibition of paper at the 201 Triennale museum. Organised by the Japanese paper manufacturer O.i.D Takeo and curated by graphic designer Kenya Hara, the exhibition’s tion rows of oblong tables presents a series of paper designs executed by ® architects, designers and artists that highlight the tactility and delicacy of the material. The exhibition is divided into two parts, the first displaying contemporary interpretations of the theme (commissioned especially for the exhibition), while the second part of the exhibition highlights objects that alreadyexist: moulded pulp packaging, sugar cube paper wrappers and lace paper doilies. i

One exhibit by designer Haruka Misawa explores paper as vehicles for flight, exhibiting paper objects of varying forms that seem to recall fans, ice lollies, corkscrews. Shown there this year is Structure, an exhibition taking in the work of 26 Norwegian designers. An ongoing initiative organised by designers’ union Klubben together with contemporary craft resource Norwegian Crafts, Structure functions as a platform to showcase contemporary design and craft from Norway regardless of sector, discipline or material specialism. It’s an eclectic selection and one that seems to chime with the trans-, anti- or crossdisciplinary (perhaps "a-disciplinary" would be the most apt phrase?) approach that has become dominant within contemporary design.

While the show's exhibits span furniture, lighting and textiles, the ceramics are the most alluring objects on display. Het was even zoeken naar Patrick HartogDE op Via Ventura 15 in Lambrate, maar dat » NAAR SHOP maakte de aankomst des te zoeter. Op de vierde verdieping van het gebouw met zijn heerlijke daktuin, vond ik Patrick en vertelde hij mij over zijn designs. Binnenkort zal gimmii nog meer aandacht besteden aan zijn afzonderlijke ontwerpen, maar hier alvast een overzicht van zijn expositie. Zijn Cable lights doen het goed en hij presenteert hier de nieuwe Large variant in mat zwart met zwart snoer. Bij de Small Cable lights wordt er geëxperimenteerd met kleur.

Tijdens de zevende editie van Ventura Lambrate met meer dan 100.000 bezoekers, 160 exposanten en meer dan 600 ontwerpers kan Baars & Bloemhoff met haar ‘Transitions’ expositie terugkijken op een zeer geslaagd debuut op de Salone del Mobile 2016. In de ‘Hollandse’ design-wijk heeft Baars & Bloemhoff vele positieve reacties mogen ontvangen op de expositie waarvoor zes ontwerpers zijn uitgedaagd om haar ruwe materialen om te zetten in tastbare designproducten. De expositie bestond uit de werken van Lex Pott, Studio Mieke Meijer, De Intuïtiefabriek, Visser & Meijwaard, OS ∆ OOS en Michiel Martens. Het idee om de materialen in een compleet nieuw daglicht te plaatsen was, net als tijdens de DDW in Eindhoven, ook een groot succes in Milaan.

Veel interieurbouwers, architecten, ontwerpers en pers heeft Baars & Bloemhoff met haar concept kunnen verrassen en laten zien hoe divers de mogelijkheden zijn die zij met de decoratieve materialen kunnen aanbieden. Dit heeft ook geresulteerd in de nodige pers- en social media publicaties. Zo is de expositie getipt als een van de ‘finest features’ door Wallpaper Magazine, is de ‘Spatial’ van De Intuïtiefabriek en de ‘Airframe 01’ van Mieke Meijer collectie uitgelicht door Dezeen en is er voorafgaande aan de beurs een artikel gepubliceerd in de New York Times over de ‘Chroma’ collectie van Lex Pott. Ook publicaties van Nederlandse bodem van onder andere Volkskrant Magazine, De Telegraaf en Architectenweb waren zeer te spreken over de deelname.
