ndofood has recently launched three new major snack brands in Indonesia.
In February 2021, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (“ICBP”) purchased 49% of shares of its operating subsidiary in the snack foods business from a company of PepsiCo, Inc. In August, ICBP completed the transition period to cease production and sales of its PepsiCo-licensed brands. The new brands and products have been available since then, with TV and crosschannel digital marketing activation following in October throughout Indonesia. Price promotions are also being rolled out to encourage mass trialing of the snacks.
CHITATO LITE Chitato Lite’s thinly-sliced chips are made from real potatoes and aimed at young adults, to inspire them to embrace life with a happy-golightly spirit. Chitato Lite’s thin and flat cut chips offer a crunchier sensation and light sensorial excitement. It comes in four flavors: Nori Seaweed, Beef Barbeque, Salmon Teriyaki and Sour Cream Onion.
CHIKI TWIST, PUFFS AND NET Chiki Twist, Puffs and Net deliver the distinctive flavor and aroma of roasted corn and a crunchy, sensorial appreciation. Developed for fun gatherings of family and friends, the Chiki snacks are designed for in-the-moment enjoyment. ICBP offers a range of delicious Chiki flavors: Roasted Corn and Grilled Chicken in Chiki Twist; Cheddar Cheese in Chiki Puff; and Potato Barbeque in Chiki Net.
MAXICORN Maxicorn is a tortilla chips range with uniquely bold flavors and full-on crunch, packed in a distinctive triangular chip. It comes in three tasty flavors: Roasted Corn, Beef Barbeque and Nacho Cheese. <<
