Irrigation is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Customers should irrigate accordingly following their 2-day-a-week cycle and use outdoor water conservatively.

Customers are also encouraged to postpone any plans for re-sodding or re-landscaping now.

Esta es la primera vez que Celebration High participa en este evento, logrando lo que muchas escuelas no han hecho después de años de participación. This is the first time that Celebration High participated in this event, achieving what many schools have not done after years of participation.

All proceeds from the tickets and concessions went towards the scholarship fund. Mr. Butler made a lasting imprint on Harmony High School and the Osceola County School District family.

TECO - Semana Nacional de Profesionales de Laboratorios Médicos La Semana Nacional de Profesionales de Laboratorio Médico (NMLPW por sus siglas en inglés) es una celebración anual de los profesionales de laboratorio médico y patólogos que desempeñan un papel vital en todos los aspectos de los servicios de salud. NHS y otras organizaciones médicas querían demostrar nuestro apoyo y gratitud por el trabajo duro de los profesionales de laboratorio.

TECO – National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week colleagues and the public about the National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (NMLPW) is an annual celebration of the medical laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in every aspect of health care. NHS and other medical organizations wanted to show our support and gratitude for the hard working laboratory professionals.

NMLPW is a time for medical lab personnel to celebrate their professionalism, and to be recognized for their efforts. Another goal is to educate the medical

medical laboratory and the impact dedicated skilled professionals have on the overall patient care.

Since lab techs often work behind the scenes, few people know much about the critical testing they perform every day.

TECO’s Health Science teachers touch on the topics that this week celebrates. The teachers continue to train the next generation of Medical Lab professionals every day.

The Florida Legislature is in their final days of the 2017 legislative session, and at this time, budget proposals from the Legislature include: • Kills funding for Enterprise Florida which helps to diversify the economy and create thousands of high wage jobs; • Cuts funding for VISIT FLORIDA by 67%. Orange Star News - Arte / Art Ciudad de Orlando Public Art Orlando, FL - El proyecto 49 Portraits nació de la necesidad de responder de manera significativa, respetuosa y amorosa a los trágicos eventos del club nocturno Pulse del 12 de junio de 2016. El proyecto fue iniciado por la profesora de arte de Georgia Mia Merlin, quien enseña en Armstrong State University en Savannah, Georgia. Se inspiró en un proyecto de retrato similar para las familias de las nueve víctimas del tiroteo de junio de 2015 en la Iglesia Episcopal Metodista Africana Emanuel en Charleston, Carolina del Sur. El 49 Portraits Project está compuesto por un grupo de 49 artistas de todo el país que crearon retratos para honrar a las inocentes víctimas de los clubes nocturnos Pulse y para regalar a sus familias.

Orlando, FL - The 49 Portraits Project was born out of a need to respond in a meaningful, respectful and loving way to the tragic events at the Pulse nightclub on June 12, 2016. The project was started by Georgia art professor Mia Merlin, who teaches at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia.

She was inspired by a similar portrait project for the families of the nine victims of the June 2015 shootings at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

The 49 Portraits Project is made up of a group of 49 artists across the country who created portraits to honor the innocent Pulse nightclub victims and to give as gifts to their families.

Rest in Peace Blanquita Trabold Descansa en paz Blanquita Trabold Orlando, FL - A lo largo de su vida, ella dedico su tiempo y esfuerzo a obras de caridad y a criar a sus tres hijos. Blanquita era conocida por ser una trabajadora incansable sobre las múltiples causas en las que participó. Esto incluye a los enfermos, y necesitados... hay demasiado por mencionar. Lo importante fue que ella siempre luchó hasta el final por sus "Queridos Mexicanos", como los solía llamar.

En Casa de México su mandato tuvo una duración de quince años como Director Ejecutivo.

A ella le sobreviven su hija Carol Ehlers casada con William, su hijo Frederick Trabold III casado con Virginia, su hermana Maria Elena Quintana y sus cinco nietos, Jorge

y MariTere Ancira, Emma, Frederick IV “Will” y Henry Trabold.

Blanquita será muy extrañada y recordada por su familia inmediata y sus amigos de toda la vida quienes ya eran como su familia. Estos amigos incluye a sus socios, donantes, compañeros de viaje y aquellos que trabajaron con ella en sus múltiples proyectos de recaudación de fondos.

Quienes se reunieron para darle un último adiós. El funeral se celebró en la iglesia católica St. Margaret Mary con una misa en el 526 N. Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789 a las11:00, el 5 de mayo de 2017. Después de la Misa, el entierro se llevó a cabo en Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 templo Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789.

Rest in peace Blanquita Trabold Orlando, FL-Throughout her lifetime, she dedicated her time and effort to charitable work and raising her three children.

Quintana, and her five grandchildren, Jorge and MariTere Ancira, and Emma, Frederick IV” Will” and Henry Trabold.

Blanquita was known for being an indomitable worker regarding the multiple causes in which she was involved. This included the sick and the needy…. there are too many to mention. What was important was that she always fought until the end for her “Queridos Mexicanos” (Dear Mexicans), as she used to call them. In “Casa de Mexico” during her fifteen-year tenure as Executive Director.

Blanquita will be greatly missed and remembered by her immediate family and her lifelong friends whom were like family members. These friends include the likes of her bridge partners, her donors, her travel companions, and those who worked with her on her multiple fundraising projects.

She is survived by her daughter Carol Ehlers married to William, her son Frederick Trabold III married to Virginia, her sister Maria Elena

Whom got together to give their last farewell. The funeral mass was held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 526 N. Park Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789 at 11:00 AM, May 5th, 2017.

Following the mass, the interment was held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789.

En Español - Consulado de México Luego de más de 40 años, Susan Finsterie entrega a México piezas arqueológicas que guardó desde su niñez Orlando, FL- Susan Finsterie, guardó desde su niñez 20 piezas arqueológicas mexicanas, que recibió como obsequio, mientras vivían en Veracruz, México, donde su padre trabajaba en un rancho. Más de 40 años después, la tarde de este lunes 1º de mayo, Susan entregó oficialmente las piezas al Consulado de México en Orlando, en un acto de generosidad y de cariño a México, como lo subrayó el Cónsul Juan Sabines.

La propia Sue envolvió simbólicamente una de las piezas para su retorno a suelo mexicano; todas fueron embaladas según las indicaciones del Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia de México (INHA), para su envío en la Valija Diplomática de la Cancillería Mexicana.

La pieza que Sue Finsterie envolvió se le obsequió hace muchos años en un Museo de Veracruz, cuando ella tenía 16 años, siendo traductora voluntaria para los turistas que visitaban el lugar. “Ya es tiempo de que esta pieza regrese a México y sea disfrutada y admiraba en su lugar de origen”, expresó Finsterie.

St Cloud - Noticias / News Personal de emergencia del Municipio de St. Cloud presenta simulacro a estudiantes de escuela secundaria St. Cloud, FL – St. Cloud Fire Rescue (SCFR), junto al St. Cloud Police Department (SCPD), estudiantes del Club de Drama del St. Cloud High School y Osceola Memory Gardens, crearon un escenario de la vida real el 26 de abril. Éstos presentaron una demostración de un choque automovilístico durante la fiesta de graduación (prom night) en St. Cloud High School. La escena se centró en los peligros que resultan de comportamiento descuidado al conducir durante la noche festiva.

Específicamente, el escenario creó conciencia sobre los peligros de mandar o leer mensajes de texto al conducir, tomar y conducir y el conducir distraído.

City of St. Cloud first-responders provide high school students with real-life scenario St. Cloud, FL – St. Cloud Fire Rescue (SCFR), along with St. Cloud Police Department (SCPD), St. Cloud High School Drama Club and Osceola Memory Gardens, created a real-life scenario featuring a prom night mock car-crash demonstration on April 26 at St. Cloud High School. The scene focused on the hazards that result from careless behavior when driving during prom night. Specifically, the scenario created a keen awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, drinking and driving and distracted driving.

Hundreds of students witnessed the true-to-life consequences of making a wrong decision. The mock exercise covered the hazards of texting and driving as well as drunk driving. The drama club students played the victims, which included two students who played the role of deceased victims and one student who played the role of the driver who underwent a drivingunder-the-influence sobriety test, failed it and was arrested. Other dramaclub students compellingly played the parts of the severely injured. The high school students witnessed the mock car-crash scene that featured a Jaws of Life demonstration, the sobriety test,

the two victims who left the scene in ambulances and the victim who left the scene in a hearse. It was a sobering mock scene that included volunteer parents arriving at the scene and drama-club students who played the parts of students leaving the prom to arrive at the crash scene to find their friends in the horrific circumstances. It was an eye-opener for all the students.

Some were aware of the dangers, but seeing the mock scenario first-hand increased their level of awareness and their future actions.

Newly licensed teenagers’ crash risks are particularly high during the first months of obtaining their driver license.

Car crashes involving teenagers are also higher during the months of April, May and June. While extra focus is recommended during the first months of driving and the early summer months, first-responders recommend a high level of alertness at all times and at any age.

SCFR personnel coordinated this first-time event and plan to conduct the real-life scenario again next year to help high school students realize the possible consequences of a driver’s poor decision.

Old Tampa Highway will be reduced to a single lane for the next several weeks due to replacement of a section of 36” reuse main crossing

Traffic will be controlled with 24hour flagging operations until the road is reopened.

Sheriff & Police - Noticias / News Arresto por maltrato infantil y actos lascivos Condado Osceola, FL- La oficina del Alguacil del Condado Osceola recibió un informe de un incidente de abuso a un niño el 29 de marzo de 2017, ocurrió en la escuela Four Corners Upper localizada en el 9160 Bella Citta Boulevard en Kissimmee.

La investigación reveló que Ángel Arzuaga, un maestro de la escuela maltrató a un estudiante de 13 años sujetándolo contra un escritorio, y permitiendo a otro estudiante golpear a la víctima de 13 años de edad.

Child Abuse/ Lewd & Lascivious Arrest Osceola County, FL- Osceola County Sheriff’s received a report of a Child Abuse incident on March 29, 2017, that occurred at the Four Corners Upper School located at 9160 Bella Citta Boulevard in Kissimmee. The investigation revealed that Angel Arzuaga, a teacher at the school battered and held down a 13-year-old student against a desk, allowing another student to batter the 13-yearold victim. The incident occurred on March 27, 2017, and after a complete investigation, Arzuaga was arrested on an arrest warrant for two counts of Child Abuse on April 18th. Four Corners Upper School was informed of this incident immediately and Arzuaga was terminated from his position on March 29. On April 20, 2017, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives received a report from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office about a Lewd and Lascivious allegation that also occurred at the Four Corners Upper School. The investigation revealed that Angel Arzuaga touched a 14-year-old female student in a lewd manner and exposed himself to her in his classroom. Bravo served as an air defense controller in the Marines from 2011 to 2016. Through outstanding leadership and devotion, he rose the ranks and played a major role while deployed in Afghanistan. He directed fighter aircrafts, helped launch surface-to-air missiles, conducted surveillance and performed tactical air traffic control and data link coordination.

Bravo’s contributions and attention to teamwork never went unnoticed. In fact, shortly after being discharged from the military, he and his family received some incredible news. Thanks to JP Morgan Chase and Operation Homefront, a national organization whose mission is to build strong, stable and secure military families and help them thrive, the Bravos were awarded a mortgage-

free home in Riverview, Fla. They will move into the new home in July.
