$28k para estudiantes / For students Orlando, FL- El consulado mexicano de Orlando otorgó la suma de $28,000 en becas a Valencia College, Seminole State College, Daytona State College, Hope Community Center y Putnam County Migrant Program a beneficio de estudiantes de origen mexicano. Cada premio será igualado por las fundaciones de las universidades o por las organizaciones receptoras a fin de proveer $56,000 en becas que beneficiarán a 160 estudiantes. Los fondos forman parte del programa “BECAS for a Better Life” del Instituto para Mexicanos en el Exterior (IME), un programa de recaudación de fondos creado por el gobierno mexicano en 2005 para apoyar el desarrollo y bienestar de los estudiantes migrantes mexicanos viviendo en los Estados Unidos.
