Social pagos a tiempo Security payments on time Washington, DC - Michael J. Astrue, Comisionado del Seguro Social, anunció que los pagos de Seguro Social para el 3 de agosto se pagarón a tiempo. Los pagos de agosto 10, 17 y 24 también se pagarán según programados. Las personas han estado preocupadas sobre la posibilidad de no recibir sus pagos de Seguro Social a tiempo luego de que el Presidente Obama declarara que no podía garantizar que los retirados recibieron sus cheques de Seguro Social en agosto si los Demócratas y Republicanos en Washington no llegaban a un acuerdo sobre la reducción del déficit y el aumento en el límite de la deuda de la nación. “Estoy muy contento de anunciar que no habrán demoras en los pagos de los beneficios de Seguro Social de agosto”, dijo el Comisionado Astrue, “lo que será un alivio para aquellas personas que estaban preocupadas sobre sus beneficios. Estoy satisfecho de que el Presidente y el Congreso pudieron unirse de manera bipartidista para evitar una interrupción en los pagos”. Las personas que todavía reciben cheques impresos del Seguro Social deben considerar inscribirse en el servicio de Depósito Directo, la manera más segura y conveniente de recibir los beneficios de Seguro Social. Todos los beneficiarios actuales tienen que cambiar a pagos electrónicos antes del 1° de marzo del 2013.
Washington, DC - Michael J. Astrue, Commissioner of Social Security, announced that Social Security payments for August 3rd were paid on time. Payments for August 10th, 17th, and 24th also will be made as scheduled. People have been concerned about getting Social Security payments on time after President Obama statement saying he cannot guarantee that retirees will receive their Social Security checks in August if Democrats and Republicans in Washington do not reach an agreement on reducing the deficit and the increase in the nation’s borrowing limit.
“I am happy to announce there will be no delay in the payment of August Social Security benefits,” Commissioner Astrue said, “which should be a relief to those people who were concerned about their benefits. I’m pleased the President and Congress were able to come together in a bipartisan fashion to avoid an interruption in payments.” People still receiving paper checks from Social Security should consider signing up for Direct Deposit, the secure and convenient way to receive Social Security payments. All current beneficiaries must switch to electronic payments by March 1, 2013.
