MESSAGE FROM O S U -T U L S A P R E S I D E N T
DR. PAMELA FRY May 11, 2020 Dear OSU-Tulsa Class of 2020,
Congratulations on your graduation from Oklahoma State University! As I think about where we are today, doing our best to adapt to a constantly changing situation, I want to pause and reflect on what was scheduled to be your graduation day. Your educational journey is more than the disruption of the last few months. From the moment you decided to pursue your degree, through years of hard work, study, research, internships, papers, theses or dissertations, you have continually moved forward. Many of you work full-time in addition to attending school. Many have children or are caring for relatives. Some of you returned to school after an extended time away. Others have never not been in school. Each of you has your own story, and that story is about more than COVID-19. While this virus pandemic may play a major role in this moment, it does not define you or your accomplishments. While it may impact your life for months—maybe years—to come, it does not define your potential or your possibilities. Today is the beginning of a new journey for you. While we face uncertain times, I encourage you to use your educational journey as your inspiration. The outcome of that journey was never guaranteed – your determination and hard work made it a reality. I hope that you do not let the unexpected, the uncontrollable and the unsettling keep you from pursuing your dreams. You have come this far. You have succeeded and will continue to succeed. Congratulations again. It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the OSU alumni family! Sincerely,
Pamela Fry President, Oklahoma State University-Tulsa

Dear graduates of 2020, In many ways, this is the worst year to graduate in the midst of virus outbreak.
