HISTORY History teaches students to understand past cultures and societies and to be engaged citizens. History students at OSU-Tulsa learn persuasive writing and critical thinking to evaluate problems and questions from multiple perspectives. This degree plan is ideal for students seeking to continue to graduate or professional programs and can often allow a student to complete a second major or a minor without additional hours. Majoring in history gives students access to renowned faculty with an astounding range of expertise. Our established public history program features strengths in historic preservation, museum studies and digital history. Our Internship course gives hands-on experience and real-world connections, in art museums, oral history programs, historical archives and others. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS • At least 45 hours must be upper-division. • Minimum 2.50 GPA and a minimum grade of “C” in all U/D HIST courses • At least: 60 hours at a four-year institution; 30 hours completed at OSU; 15 of the final 30 or 50% of the upper-division hours in the major field completed at OSU.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? Use this chart below to see how long it will take you to complete your bachelor’s degree at OSU-Tulsa if you transfer with 60 credit hours from your two-year institution. If you transfer with fewer than 60 credit hours, the number of semesters will increase accordingly.

OSU is one of the best values in the Big 12 and has lower tuition and fees than many Tulsaarea schools and online-only institutions. Students taking 15 credit hours (full time) will pay approximately $6,636 per semester in tuition and fees and an estimated $630 for books and supplies. (Estimates based on 2021-2022 tuition and fee charges. Books and supplies will vary based on classes taken each semester.)
