Greetings Salutations
It is with immense pleasure and pride that we welcome you to Chamberfest Uncorked, the 2013 fundraising wine auction and tasting in support of the Ottawa Chamber Music Society. We have organized this wine auction every year for decades. We have never before seen it come together with such verve – or with such a fascinating selection of wines and gifts, courtesy Ottawa’s most artistically engaged benefactors and local businesses. Your generous donations – and even more generous bids! – provide vital support to our artistic programming, music education and outreach initiatives, and many other innovative community partnerships that help to make Ottawa a great cultural destination and an incomparable place to live. We extend congratulations to the entire volunteer committee, especially to the Wine Auction Committee, chaired by Ella Forbes-Chilibeck, for creating an entertaining and exciting event that engages all who participate. We are grateful to our board members and staff, who have given of their time away from planning this year’s summer festival, to make Chamberfest Uncorked a success. And we thank you, our guests, who join us this evening because you believe that all communities benefit from the appreciation of fine music. We raise our glasses to you all. Cheers! Or, as they say across the river: Salut! Executive Director/Directeur général Glenn Hodgins Artistic Director/Directeur artistique Roman Borys

Wine Auction Regulations Conditions of Sale
Reserves
The items listed in this catalogue, as may be amended by sale room notice or announcement, are offered for sale by Ottawa Chamber Music Society (the Charity) for its own account. The following terms and conditions of sale constitute the complete terms and conditions on which all of the items are sold.
Some lots are offered subject to a reserve bid. A reserve bid is the minimum bid the Charity will accept for a lot. The reserve is confidential between the auctioneer and the Charity and is typically a percentage of the low estimate. The auctioneer may place bids on a lot on behalf of the Charity up to the reserve.
Condition of the wines
Payment
Lots are sold “as is” without recourse. Neither the Charity nor the auctioneer may give any warranty of any kind as to any of the lots, nor shall they be liable in any manner for any error in description, faults or defects. All warranties and conditions implied by law are hereby excluded.
Items purchased at the auction must be paid for immediately. No delivery will be made until full payment has been made. Payments may be made by cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
The wine offered for sale at the auction may not have been tested by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. The purchaser of the wine by way of the auction is required by law to acknowledge this in writing.
Unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance, purchases must be collected at the time of the sale. The purchaser may request delivery, which will be charged to the purchaser.
Registration All purchasers must register. Purchasers may register in advance by completing a Commissioned Bids form and mailing it to the address on the form. On-site regist ration will begin at 6:00pm on the day of the auction.
Bidding Sale will take place by lot number, as set out in the catalogue. Lots will be sold as described; however, the auctioneer may withdraw, unite, or divide lots at his or her discretion. Bidding increments are at the discretion of the auctioneer. Bids are in Canadian dollars. There are no premiums or taxes on any lot. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. The auctioneer has the right to reject any bid and, in the event of any dispute between bidders, to determine the successful bidder or to reoffer and resell the item in dispute. Should there be any dispute after the sale, the Charity’s record of final sale shall be conclusive.

Pickup and Delivery
Commissioned Bids Potential purchasers who cannot be present at the sale can submit commissioned bids. Commissioned bids can be received by email at boxoffice@ chamberfest.com, by mail (4 Florence Street Ste 201, Ottawa ON K2P 0W7), or by fax (613-234-7692) to Ottawa Chamber Music Society, no later than noon, Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Commissioned bids can be for a maximum amount or for the best price plus the next increment. If the last bid is less than the commissioned bid, the commissioned bid will take the lot at the next increment above the last bid. Successful bidders will be notified by email and/or by telephone, and arrangements for payment and delivery will be made at that time. Neither the Charity nor the auctioneer shall be held responsible if they fail to execute a written bid, if there is an error during the execution of such a bid, or if they do not follow all written bid instructions.
