Pines Celebrates July 4th

embroke Pines residents came out in droves to celebrate the nation’s birthday on July 4th. The annual event is a favorite for all members of the family and this year’s celebrations were no exception. Festivities started at 6:00 pm when the Kids’ Fun Zone opened at the Pines Recreation Center. There were carnival rides, bouncy houses, arts & crafts and even a pie eating contest. Treats were provided by a number of different of food trucks while residents grabbed their spots on the law for the grand final. “It is always a tremendous day when all of the people of Pembroke Pines get together to

celebrate,” said Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank Ortis, “you can see all of the cultures here tonight that make our city such a great place to live and raise a family.” Musical entertainment was provided by VINYL and went into hype mode at 7:00 pm. The entertainment didn’t stop till the fireworks display let the rockets red glare at 9:00 pm! It was an incredible evening for boys and girls ages one to a hundred! We can’t wait till next year!
