The Season to Say Thanks!
E
very year around this time we take a deep
breath and wonder where the time went. The summer heat is receding, the vacation memories have moved to the back of our minds, and the kids have settled back into their school routine. As the Halloween sugar rush wears off, we now move into full preparation mode for the Thanksgiving holiday. What? Thanksgiving already? In the blink of an eye, the entire year seems to have gone by. Another year of family, friends and togetherness, of being there for each other and enjoying each other’s companionship. While we sit down this year with our loved ones from near and far to indulge in a fancy turkey feast, let us give thanks for all the little blessings we have received throughout the year and let us enjoy one and other. Happy Thanksgiving! Sincerely,

hat began as a small gift to their daughters more than
20 years ago, has now grown into an elaborate holiday display that is expected to delight hundreds of visitors this year. Jeannie and Hugh Harris bought their first piece of the Dept 56’s Snow Village collection 22 years ago, and haven’t stopped since. “We thought we would just add one piece each year,” said Jeannie. “But now it is our Christmas.” Jeannie and Hugh will once again display their lifelong collection for all to see at Covenant Village in Plantation, where they have lived for the past six years. Not only residents, but the public too is invited to come check out the display of more than 70 SnowVillage homes and businesses, all lovingly laid out in painstaking detail in a room off the lobby at Covenant Village. It takes Jeannie and Hugh nearly three weeks to set “Snow Village” up. “We work 4-5 hours a day. We come over in the morning, work till we get tired, go home and have lunch and go back over and work some more. We have to get it done because people are anxious to get in there,” said Jeannie, who added that they like to have the display up by Thanksgiving because that’s when many families

come to visit at Covenant Village. Department 56 is best known for hand-crafted lighted villages. The Harris’s collection is so large, it fills up 18 large boxes when not on display. The buildings are done in a late 1800’s motif and they lay it out much like a real city. There’s a downtown section with department stores, gas stations police and fire stations and even a Starbucks. That is surrounded by 20 houses and a farm section that contains buildings, animals, a hen house, windmill, and a man pulling a sled. There is also a park, with a lighthouse, hunters cabin, fishing cabins, a lake, skating pond, and a man carving wooden bears. Hugh’s favorite piece is a replica of the Ford Motor Company, with a 1965 Mustang on a spindle that turns and a car lift. Jeannie says it takes several passes through to see everything. “I want them to come and enjoy it all,” she said. The display is open to the public and moms and dads are encouraged to bring their children. The display will be open around Thanksgiving and will run through January 1 at Covenant Village of Florida, located at 9215 W. Broward Blvd. Ste 100 in Plantation. Display times at 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, call 954-916-6550.

Plantation Relay for Life Goes “Hollywood”
H
By Julie Levin
oping to encourage residents to make this year’s Relay for
Life as successful as possible, organizers of the Plantation event are urging everyone to think big. It is the reason this year’s theme for the annual overnight event is “Plantation Relay for Life Goes to the Movies!” “We thought where else could you dream and hope for big things besides the movies,” said Wendy Robbin, the Plantation event chairperson To get things rolling, organizers held a Relay for Life kick-off party at West Regional Library October 8. Teams were encouraged to sign up and choose not only the location for their team, but also the movie that would represent them. Fighting cancer as a family; Amanda, Organizers are anticipat- Sam, Ashley, & Wendy Robbin ing as many as 48-50 teams from local schools, businesses, clubs, churches and synagogues will take part in a bid to raise $165,000. They raised $149,000 last year, making the Plantation Relay for life the 3rd most successful in Broward and 25th in the state. “Everyone has been touched my cancer in some way, through a relative, a friend or a co-worker,” said Robbin. “I think it is really important that all of us strive to give what we can and educate as many people as we can about prevention, help people who are going through cancer and try to find more cures.” Relay for Life got its start In 1985 when a Tacoma, Washington physician named Gordy Klatt walked and ran for 24 hours around a track, ultimately raising $27,000 to help the American Cancer Society. A year later, 340 supporters joined him Survivors take the first lap to open last in the effort and it has year’s Relay for Life in Plantation grown ever since. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries take part in the overnight community fundraising walk, which encourages teams of people to camp out around a track. Throughout the night, members of each team take turns walking around the track. Most events are kicked-off with a Survivors Lap, where cancer survivors are invited to take the first lap. There is also a Luminaria Ceremony which honors those who have been lost to the disease, or those whose fight continues. Robbin became involved in Relay for life shortly after losing her sister to melanoma in 1995. Her daughter was a student at Tropical Elementary school at the time. “I just thought it was a great way for my daughter to get involved and give back to the community and learn what they disease was all about, who it affected and what we could do to try and help so other people didn’t have to die from it,” she said. Her daughter, now 20 years old, also went on to start a team at Seminole Middle School and at Temple Kol Ami-Emanuel, which still has a youth group team headed up by her younger sister. Husband Sam is also a four-year survivor of throat cancer. “You never know when it may affect you and we should all be there to help when someone else has to go through it,” she said. For more information about joining the 2013 Plantation Relay for Life, contact them at Plantationrelayforlife@gmail.com. In addition to people looking to form teams, they are also looking for survivors and caregivers to come and join them.

Fashion Forward Event for Woman’s Club By Julie Levin
H
igh style, new fashions and fun were the order of the
day recently at the “Tickled Pink” fashion show and luncheon gala hosted by the GFWC Plantation Woman’s Club. The event, which was held September 11 at Deicke Auditorium, kicked off the 2012-2013 fund-raising season for the Woman’s Club, which has been a mainstay in Plantation since 1949. More than 150 people turned out to watch club members turned models Gail Triviz, Eirene Stansbury, Donna Sachs, Ann Polley, Dotty Noll, Joan McCarthy, Pat Livingston, Charlotte Klimas, Pat Hinde, Barbara Graveson and Betty Cobb strut their stuff in fashions and accessories provided by SteinMart of Plantation. Each model wore between two or three outfits including day casual, day business and holiday attire. While most of the models weren’t used to being the center of attention, they knew what they were doing was for a good cause. “Everyone enjoys it because at the end of the day, it is really a lot of fun,” said Bridget Wilson, the Fashion Show Chairwoman. In addition to the show, guests also enjoyed lunch catered by Jacaranda Italia, music and raffle prizes. The third annual Fashion Show originally began as a fun way to kick-off the new season after a summertime lull. All proceeds raised at the Fashion Show go to support the group’s numerous philanthropic projects within the city. Their mission is to foster a spirit of friendly goodwill among the women of Plantation in forwarding the charitable, educational and civic improvement of our community, country and world.
The Plantation Woman’s Club is a non-profit charitable, educational and civic organization. For more information on the Club, contact President Pat Hinde at 954-661-3830 or visit them online at plantationwomansclubgfwc.com.
Plantation-based Foundation Donates Specialized Incubator to Hospital By Julie Levin
A
mission that began nearly a decade ago
after the premature birth of their daughters has finally come to fruition for a Plantation family. Since 2003, Jennifer and Brian Cohen have vowed to give back to hospital that saved their daughters’ lives. Recently, they made good on their promise by donating a specialized incubator to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital West. “Today marks a milestone for us. The dedication of this incubator culminates years of hard work and fundraising but more importantly, for me, this is my way of saying thank you,” said Jennifer. The family made the donation of the GE OnmiBed Giraffe Incubator through The Sydney & Alexandria Cohen Foundation, the non-profit charity they created to honor and celebrate their twin daughters. Sydney and Alexandria were born at 31 weeks gestation in 2003. Alexandria weighed 2 lbs., 14 oz. and Sydney weighed 3 lbs., 3 oz. at birth. The girls spent five weeks in the NICU and today are healthy, thriving 9-year-olds with no complications from having been born so early. For years, the Cohen’s have been holding fundraisers and events to be able to donate an incubator that would help other babies. “Incubators saved our daughters and we hope that every baby who is in this incubator will have the same wonderful

Two-Day Art Event Ready to Draw New Fans By Julie Levin
O
ne of Plantation’s best-known and longest-running cultural
events returns to Liberty Tree Park this month. The 46th Annual Art in the Park Festival is set for November 10 & 11, and organizers are inviting everyone to come out and enjoy the annual two-day fall event. Hosted by the Plantation Junior Woman’s Club Foundation, the annual event is a juried fine arts and fine crafts show. This year’s theme will be “All People Love Art”. Organizers are hoping guests will feel much the same as they stroll through the winding sidewalks of the park viewing the works of more than one hundred vendors working in a variety of media including photography, ceramics, sculpture, painting, fine jewelry, crafts and more. The arts festival also includes a community focus not only by providing a free twoday event, but also by focusing on the city’s youngest artists. The winning works from the recent student Art Search talent contest will be on display, and there will be arts and crafts activities in the Kids Korner, as well as an opportunity for local dance and performing groups to take the stage. This year, Art in the Park will also feature live music, yoga, craft beer, food vendors and wine tasting. Art in the Park 2012 will be held November 10 and 11 in Liberty Tree Park Art in the Park has been a main-
stay in Plantation for more than four decades, having been postponed only once due to Hurricane Wilma in 2005. It is run entirely by volunteers from the Plantation Junior Woman’s Club, which was founded in 1962 to serve the community. Funds raised through Art in the Park are returned to the community through local projects. In years past, the Plantation Junior Woman’s Club Foundation said proceeds have gone to local organizations such as will be able to browse a Plantation High School Art Club, Guests variety of fine art and fine crafts Helen B. Hoffman Library, Young at Art Children’s Museum (benefiting low-income Plantation children), and 4Kids of South Florida, whose crisis facility is located in Plantation. Additionally, the event enables the Plantation Junior Woman’s Club to fund scholarships for four graduating Plantation area high school seniors. The 46th Annual Art in the Park Festival is set for November 10 & 11, at Liberty Tree Park, located at 7421 N.W. 5th Street in Plantation. Admission and parking are both free and the event runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For sponsorship information and media opportunities contact Danielle Robinson at d627ils@aol.com.You can also visit them online at www.artintheparkfl.weebly.com

Green Apple Day Sprouts Local Volunteer Effort by julie levin
A
s the future stewards of our environment, the students in
the Environmental Science and Everglades Restoration magnet program at South Plantation High are already concerned about keeping our community green. Recently, they had a chance to demonstrate their interest first hand by taking part in nationwide “green” service day. The students fanned out throughout Plantation September 29 to be a part of the first annual Green Apple Day of Service, organized by The Center for Green Schools (U.S. Green Building Council). Also known as National Public Lands Day, the effort was expected to draw 170,000 volunteers nationwide participating in projects at more than 2,100 sites across the United States. Locally, more than one dozen South Plantation students turned out to refurbish and maintain the hardwood hammock at Jack Carter Harmony Park in Plantation. Many of the seedlings in the hammock had been planted five years ago by other South Plantation magnet program students and have since grown into mature trees and shrubs. The gumbo limbo, wild coffee and other plantings now provide a refuge for local wildlife and shade for visitors. In the afternoon, the student volunteers turned their attention to the wildflower garden at the school. Nature continues to replant the wildflowers, which include powder puff, tickweed, blanket flower, but the students are needed to remove weeds and add mulch to help control the weeds.

The Piercing Truth about Tongue Splitting and Oral Jewelry
S
Dr. Felipe Norena
ome people like the personal image created by
tongue splitting and oral piercings, but this look comes at a price. Tongue splitting and piercings that involve the tongue, lips, cheeks or uvula (that tiny piece of tissue that hangs at the back of your mouth) can be risky.
PROCEDURE-RELATED RISKS
Pain and swelling. As with any wound, tongue splitting and piercing can cause pain and swelling. The swelling can be so severe that it interferes with your ability to breathe. Risk of Infection. Cases of tetanus infection have been reported after body piercing. Your mouth is full of bacteria that can infect the piercing site or tongue once it is cut. In addition, handling oral jewelry brings the bacteria on your hands in contact with the site, which can cause infection. Food that collects around the jewelry also provides an opportunity for bacteria to breed at the site. Wounds created during tongue splitting and oral piercing allow bacteria from the mouth to enter the bloodstream. In people with oral piercings, these bacteria have been associated with endocarditis, a serious infection involving the heart. Bleeding. Blood vessels in the tongue can be damaged during oral modifications, which can cause serious bleeding. C

JEWELRY-RELATED COMPLICATIONS
Chipped teeth. People with oral piercings may bite or play with the jewelry in ways that can cause it to come into contact with the teeth, crowns or restorations (fillings). This contact can chip or crack teeth or restorations. Gum damage. Constant contact with the jewelry can cause the gingivae (gums) to recede, or pull away, from the teeth, which can cause your teeth to become sensitive to hot and cold. Gum recession exposes the roots of your teeth, leaving them vulnerable to bacteria and acids in food that can cause tooth decay and other damage. Gum-tissue overgrowth. The gum tissue surrounding oral piercing can grow over the jewelry, a process referred to as embedding. Embedded jewelry may need to be removed surgically. Swallowing or inhalation. There always is the possibility that the jewelry can come loose. As with any loose objects in your mouth, it presents a choking hazard if it falls into your trachea (windpipe). You also can swallow loose jewelry, which can damage your digestive system. These are just some of the complications related to these trendy oral modifications. So although they may seem like a fun way to express yourself, tongue splitting and oral piercings are not without risks. Before deciding to go this route, consider the possible effects such a choice can have on your oral and overall health.

Three Major Mistakes by Homeowners When it Comes to Association Dues By Omar J. Arcia, Esq. Foreclosure Defense and Consumer Bankruptcy Protection Attorney

any homeowners that have fallen behind on their mortgage
payments also make the decision to stop paying their homeowners’ association dues. If a homeowner is trying to save their home, non payment of association dues is perhaps one of the worst decisions they can make. Homeowners can quickly find themselves defending two foreclosure actions, one from the mortgage company and one from the homeowner’s association. The following are three major mistakes by homeowners when it comes to collection of association dues. ▸ Only the mortgage company has the right to foreclose on a home. This is just not true. Florida law permits homeowners’ associations to place a lien against your property for the value of any unpaid dues or assessments, quickly foreclose, and take possession of the property to recover the value of that lien. Generally speaking, there are fewer defenses to an association action than a mortgage foreclosure action. Also, because the amount in controversy is usually less than $15,000, association foreclosure actions may be filed in the lesser backlogged county courts. This means that association foreclosure actions are completed much quicker than mortgage foreclosure cases – usually in less than 6 months. ▸ An association will not foreclose if there is no equity in the property. Just the opposite is the case. Since there is a significant mortgage ahead of the association lien, at a foreclosure auction, the association itself is usually the highest bidder and becomes the new “owner” of the property. More and more homeowners’ associations are foreclosing on South Florida homes in order to take possession of the property and rent it out to recover the unpaid dues, until and when the mortgage company forecloses. Accordingly, an association may foreclose and deprive you of your property if there is equity or not. ▸ There is no need to hire an attorney to defend an association foreclosure action. Like in a mortgage foreclosure action, there are a number of defenses to an association foreclosure action which may only be effectively developed in court by a law firm with experience and specialized knowledge on how to defend association foreclosure actions. An attorney can also help you negotiate a structured settlement of your association debt with affordable payments to avoid foreclosure. There are also bankruptcy related strategies that can be implemented to reduce or wipe out homeowners’ association debt altogether. If you have fallen behind on your association payments, or recently received an association foreclosure action, it is important that you retain a well qualified law firm, like the Arcia Law Firm, to fully represent your interests. The Arcia Law Firm is privileged to represent dozens of homeowners in our community in association foreclosure and collection actions. More detailed explanations of different options available to homeowners in foreclosure, at risk of foreclosure, or considering bankruptcy are discussed in a new consumer DVD developed by the Arcia Law Firm entitled “Fight For Your Home.” If you mention that you heard about the DVD through this magazine you will receive a FREE copy during your appointment to discuss your case in detail with a member of our legal team.

A Buy-Sell Agreement Helps You Plan for Contingencies By Frank Gutta, CPA,PFS
What will happen to your business if you die, retire, or become disabled? If you are a small business owner, you need a means for the transfer of that business in the event something happens to you. With a “buy-sell” agreement, you are able to plan for many contingencies over which you would otherwise have little control. A buy-sell agreement should establish a price and method of succession. The traditional buy-sell agreement is a contract between the business entity and all the entity’s co-owners. The agreement typically covers valuing the business, laying down triggering events that would bring the terms of the contract into effect, and defining the transfer of ownership. There are many advantages in drafting a buy-sell agreement, including the following: Provides a framework for dealing with owner disputes – ensures a smooth transition of control and power to the owner’s successor. Facilitates estate planning objectives – can help minimize certain estate taxes and can be structured to take advantage of favorable redemption rules upon death.
Fixes value for estate tax purposes – includes a method for valuing ownership interests and establishing a fixed value for purposes of taxing the estate upon its owner’s death. Forces owners to deal with liquidity issues – addresses how a possible buyout would be funded. Helps prevent loss of tax benefits – especially for S corporations in which transferred stock could lead to termination of the S election. It can disallow the transfer of shares without the consent of owners. Something as valuable as the ownership and management of a small business should not be left to chance. The agreement needs to satisfy all parties involved, including the IRS requirements for tax purposes. If you need assistance in drafting the tax consequences of a buy-sell agreement or in updating your current buy-sell agreement, please contact us. Frank Gutta & Co. Understanding Shingles By Wendy S. Levenson EdD, RN Director of Education-Westside Regional Medical Center
S
hingles is a painful, blistering skin rash due to the varicella-
zoster virus, the virus that causes chickenpox. One out of three Americans will have shingles. There are an estimated 1 million cases each year in the United States. The first sign of shingles is often burning or tingling pain, or sometimes numbness or itch, in one particular location on only one side of the body. After several days or a week, a rash of fluid-filled blisters, similar to chickenpox, appears in one area on one side of the body. Other symptoms may include: Abdominal pain, fever and chills, general ill feeling, genital sores, headache, joint pain, swollen glands (lymph nodes), pain, muscle weakness, difficulty moving some of the muscles in the face, drooping eyelid, hearing loss, loss of eye motion, taste problems, vision problems. Shingles pain can be mild or intense. Some people have mostly itching; some feel pain from the gentlest touch or breeze. Anyone who has had chickenpox is at risk for shingles. Scientists think that in the original battle with the varicella-zoster virus, some of the virus particles leave the skin blisters and move into the nervous system. When the varicella-zoster virus reactivates, the virus moves back down the long nerve fibers that extend from the sensory cell bodies to the skin. The viruses multiply, the tell-tale rash erupts, and the person now has shingles. The severity and duration of an attack of shingles can be significantly reduced by immediate treatment with antiviral drugs. Antiviral drugs may also help stave off the painful after-effects of shingles known as postherpetic neuralgia.
In 2006, the Food and Drug Administration approved a VZV vaccine (Zostavax) for use in people 60 and older who have had chickenpox. In March 2011, the FDA extended the approval to include adults 50 to 59 as well. Researchers found that giving older adults the vaccine reduced the expected number of later cases of shingles by half. And in people who still got the disease despite immunization, the severity and complications of shingles were dramatically reduced. The shingles vaccine is a preventive therapy and not a treatment for those who already have shingles or postherpetic neuralgia. ▸▸ Cool wet compresses can be used to reduce pain. Soothing baths and lotions, such as colloidal oatmeal bath, starch baths, or calamine lotion, may help to relieve itching and discomfort. ▸▸ Resting in bed until the fever goes down is recommended. ▸▸ Keep the skin clean. ▸▸ Do not reuse contaminated items. ▸▸ Wash nondisposable items in boiling water or disinfect them before using them again ▸▸ You may need to stay away from people while the sores are oozing to avoid infecting those who have never had chickenpox -- especially pregnant women ▸▸ Herpes zoster usually clears up in 2 to 3 weeks and rarely returns. For a free referral to a primary care physician in the area, contact Westside Regional Medical Center’s toll-free physician referral and health information line at 1-800-618-2631.

r. Renny Edelson is as committed to
his profession as he is his hometown. He grew up in Plantation, attending both Plantation and South Plantation High Schools, and is now building a national chiropractic practice out of his Plantation office. Dr. Edelson, national developer and co-owner of ChiropracticUSA, answered some commonly asked questions about chiropractic care and his personal philosophy on health and wellness.

Then I returned to South Florida where I opened my chiropractic practice and my wife Margie and I are raising our three beautiful daughters.

A chiropractor focuses on structure (the spine and associated extremities) and function (neurological and musculoskeletal optimal performance) and the corrective rehabilitation of those areas. We specialize in treating patients with acute or chronic pain and diminished or restrictive performance which affects their work, sports or daily living.
At ChiropracticUSA, we take great pride in showing “before” and “after” results using the latest corrective care technology and diagnostics. We work closely with medical doctors on many cases and, as such, many primary care physicians refer to us for best results.
How can a chiropractor help someone with chronic pain? We treat people who are injured
niques, we utilize therapeutic exercises and traction, neuro-muscular re-education, and massage. The greatest trainers and athletes utilize cold laser and power-vibe (vibraboards). Specific home traction and training exercises are discussed during the course of treatment so the patient can accelerate healing time, minimize cost, prevent reoccurrence and maintain correction over a lifetime.
as a result of activities of daily living, occupational hazards such as the kind of work that requires repeated movements, multiple strain/ sprain injuries resulting from sports activities, slip and falls, or even motor vehicle collisions. These injuries damage the soft tissue ligaments, tendons and muscles which are attached to the spine and skeletal structures causing misalignment. These misalignments, called subluxations, cause interference and dangerous pressure to the central nervous system both at the brain stem and spinal cord level as well as peripheral nerves that move away from the spine.
How does chiropractic care alleviate back or neck pain? We provide the finest corrective rehabilitation of these conditions by using several steps. Adjustments are made to correct the subluxation. There isn’t a surgery or a pill that can do this. This is what sets chiropractors apart from the traditional methods of overutilized medications which are both addictive or damage causing, or both. It’s their business
Distinctive Carpet and Tile Provides Total Flooring Needs
I
By Julie Levin
f you are looking to replace, or upgrade
the flooring in your home or business, make sure you call on Distinctive Carpet and Tile, the family owned and operated business South Florida has been relying on for close to 20 years for all their flooring needs. Distinctive Carpet and Tile is located at 2461 South University Drive, in the same location since 1992. “People have a good experience with us. They come out and feel that they have been treated right,” said Marv Lieberman, who co-owns Distinctive Carpet and Tile with son Jason.
Whenever clients walk into their Davie store, they can rest assured they will always be greeted by one of the owners, not someone at a large chain store who is simply putting in their hours. “One of us is always here, customers are always dealing with the boss,” said Jason Lieberman, who joined the business six years ago. Distinctive Carpet and Tile offers a full line of carpet, tile, wood, and vinyl flooring for any job; residential, commercial or industrial. “Anything you can put on a floor, we sell and install,” he said. The team at Distinctive Carpet and Tile gets to know their clients when they come in to help figure out exactly the flooring they are looking for, in their budget. They are led by Marv, who has more than 41 years in the carpet business, and knows how to make a client happy. “We are extremely competitive pricewise. Secondly, we are very
easy to work with and we have excellent service,” he said. Customers looking for new carpet can choose from major manufacturers like Mohawk, Shaw, Beaulieu and many more. Whether it is a Shag, Berber, plush or pattern, Distinctive Carpet and Tile can help find a style to suit any room. They also offer the Smart Strand Carpet from Mohawk, which delivers the newest in carpet technology, with a lifetime stain protection warranty. “It protects against any stain for the life of the product,” said Marv. They also offer the latest in laminate wood, which is known for its durability, ease of maintenance, and great look. They carry a huge selection of laminates to choose from including beveled, hand scraped and distressed looks from manufacturers like Quick Step, Mohawk, Mannington. They carry all major name brands as well as generic name laminates. They also offer engineered wood from names like Mannington and Johnson. If it is vinyl you are looking for, Distinctive Carpet and Tile carries the newest in vinyl technology, including looks that are virtually water and scratch resistant. They feature glueless vinyl products such as Konecto and Endura. Marble and wood looks are also available. Because Distinctive Carpet and Tile has built up a great reputation over the years, most of their business is referral-based from satisfied clients. “People like that we don’t do a high pressure sale, like other places that work on commission,” said Marv. Distinctive Carpet and Tile will have most jobs mea-
sured within 24-48 hours, and installed within 4 days. They use an experienced and professional staff of installers, who know how to get the job done properly and to the customers satisfaction. “They have excellent craftsmanship, they are neat, and they show up on time,” said Marv. Jason and Marv Lieberman, For customers who co-owners of Distinctive Carpet and Tile can’t make it to the Davie location, they also offer a convenient “Shop at Home” service, where a representative will visit prospective clients in their home, or business, at a time that works for them. The representative can provide flooring samples, measure the project, and provide a price, just like in the store. “If there is a mobility issue or if it is too far, they never have to come into the store if they don’t want to,” said Lieberman. Distinctive Carpet and Tile is centrally located from almost anywhere in Broward at its location just off I-595 and University Drive. You’ll find them at 2461 S. University Drive in Davie. You can phone them at 954473-9300 or visit them online at www.distinctivecarpet. com. They are open 7 days a week.
