OUT BRISTOL WELCOME
“The definitive destination for the LGBT+ communities in the dual city region of the West of England.”
Welcome to Out Bristol an independent community magazine and website for the LGBT+ communities of the West of England. Established in 2008 as an independent free access website and guide that joins up the dots to create a hub linking to further support and information. The website and guide quickly turned into a magazine with the same aims as the website as a hub, showcasing what’s on in the region for LGBT+ people. This developed to linking with the tourism board to showcase the great things happening in the city region. The site is now the LGBT+ tourism site for the region, with links to information on where to stay, attractions, festivals and the LGBT+ Scene. We have an open source policy for the site, magazine and social media which means all outbristol
outbristol
content comes directly from the source as they have sent it #nofilter. Our communities are diverse and editing content to one single voice when we are many voices does not allow for free expression. Out Bristol has over 80 contributors via its social media, website and magazine and we welcome people to contribute to the website and magazine as the more voices the better. Out Bristol is your virutal community centre, home of your Out Bristol Magazine. We’re a hub hosting a space to plug your events, social groups and news and we’re 100% independent and non for profit. We’re whatever you want us to be. We would like to thank you for visiting us and supporting Out Bristol. WWW.OUTBRISTOL.CO.UK

David identified, named, defined and led the community and public health responses to ChemSex, on international fronts. He has played a leading role in the development of London’s pioneering ChemSex support services Antidote, Club Drug Clinic and CODE clinic; he currently manages the ChemSex support programmes at 56 Dean Street sexual health clinic in London. David has been instrumental in placing ChemSex issues firmly on international Public Health agendas, and his sexual wellbeing and ChemSex support models of care have been adapted for use and applied in many dozens of cities around the world. He has been consulted by the governments and public health bodies of many countries across the Americas, Europe and Australasia, including the World Health Organisation/UNAIDS.

David is also recognised for his work within communities, generating dialogue and community discussion around issues that challenge sexual wellbeing among modern gay communities. He does this by nurturing burgeoning activists and artists to use their mediums as social commentary, in theatre, photography, spoken word, written word, performance art and other artistic expression; all designed to inspire and engage populations in action and dialogue on topical and challenging psychosocial/psychosexual issues that impact sexual health, wellbeing and community. David has commissioned and produced two plays from playwright Patrick Cash; The Clinic, and The ChemSex Monologues (the latter of which has since enjoyed international successes). David and Patrick also launched the community event “Let’s Talk About Gay Sex and Drugs”, an openmic evening where the community gathers, cabaret style, to see ChemSex issues explored through artistic expression. The Square 15 (S)
Venue: Watershed Bristol Date: Fri 16 - Thu 22 March 2018 Director: Ruben Östlund Cast: Claes Bang, Elisabeth Moss, Dominic West Length: 151 mins Bristol Tickets: www.watershed.co.uk Director Ruben Östlund (Force Majeure) returns with this Palme d’Or-winning hilarious satire on art, culture and communication in the digital age. Christian (Claes Bang) is the curator of a respected art museum in Stockholm. On the verge of opening his next exhibition (a daring installation called The Square that examines altruism and our duty to help others), his life (and the museum’s) is thrown into crisis with a series of troubles including a backfiring PR campaign, an awkward fling with a journalist (Elizabeth Moss) and a performance centrepiece gone horribly, horribly wrong... With pitch perfect performances and a stunning sequence involving the aforementioned performance piece at a donors’ dinner (special mention must go to the amazing movement artist Terry Notary for this setpiece), this is a jaw-dropping, unique and often surreal look at the art world, political correctness, free speech and artistic liberty. One of our favourites of the year - enjoy.

Clare Lydon Twice in a Lifetime Custard Books English
Synopsis Once bitten, twice shy? When her first love walks back into her life, Harriet Locke is thrown - because Sally McCall still looks as gorgeous as ever. The trouble is, Sally doesn’t trust Harriet, and with good reason: she hasn’t forgotten the past. Sally loved her once, but 17 years later, is that still the case? And if it is, there’s just the small matter of living in different states, as well as convincing Sally she’s worth taking a chance on again. Will Harriet and Sally be lucky enough to find love twice in a lifetime? From the best-selling author of London Calling and Nothing To Lose comes a witty & wondrous story of second-chance romance! About the Author Clare writes contemporary lesbian fiction, and her books are frequently found at the top of the lesbian fiction charts of all major retailers. Clare has published a dozen books, most recently Twice in a Lifetime set in Chicago. Her London series - A girl called London, This London love and London Calling - is also very popular with readers. https://www.clarelydon.co.uk Meet the Author ELLCon is set to take place in Bristol over 23 and 24 Aug 2018.
