Christian Navarro 13 REASONS WHY PHOTOGRAPHY ARTHUR GALVAO A wise man once defined the concept of 'good luck' as something that happens when "preparation and hard work meet opportunity." And no one understands this better than 26-year-old actor Christian Navarro. While some actors might sit back and bask in the success of a show like 13 Reason Why, Christian prefers to keep his nose to the grindstone and continue to build his destiny rather than wait for it to happen on its own. For his feature BELLOinterview, we spoke with Christian about the 13 Reasons Why phenomenon, his admiration for Lin-Manuel Miranda, and his favorite Wonder Woman in the world.

JUNE 2018 13 is the number that you get when you add up the numbers in our cover. It might have been a coincidence but we decided to embrace it and release this issue on the 13th. This issue is very symbolic of what BELLO mag has become. A group of talented and creative people having fun while trying to show you an interesting point of view with our visual and editorial choices. I’m happy to present you with our cover star Christian Navarro and his fierce pup Daenerys, the Mother of Dragons. As you can see in the pictures, we had a great time in the Hollywood Hills with the 13 Reasons Why star. Special thanks to Gregg Rapp who suggested and opened the doors to his beautiful home for the Bello Team. Our Spotlight feature is Jordy Jones (right on time for the release of her new single), and we loved creating this artsy set of images with her. We invite you to take them and get creative, draw them up! Tag us in your posts for a chance to be published in an upcoming issue. So join us in being creative and enjoy ! Ciao Aleksandar Tomovic

13 REASONS WHY | NETFLIX

In preparation for filming season two of 13 Reasons Why, Christian Navarro teamed up with Evangelia to create the song 'Hello Again'. Billboard recently profiled the new video, and he tells us he wrote the song as a method for more effectively entering the psyche of his character, Tony Padilla, before shooting began. "I used the song as part of the process of crafting the character," he tells us. 'Hello Again' allowed me to get into Tony's mindset a little bit more. There's a six-month gap between season one and season two and I really wanted to explore what was going on in Tony's brain during that time. It helped me bring life to those first couple of moments when you see Tony. I felt like he was truly alive inside of me."

Tony's journey feels alive for the loyal viewers as well. The character's struggle with his sexuality has been a major point of contact for viewers, and something that has given Christian so many close moments of connection with his fans. "I think the most revealing interactions I have in this sense are with the parents," he says. "I do meet a lot of the younger fans who share how their own journeys are parallel with Tony's and how the show has helped them in their healing, and that's very special, but it's always so eye-opening to me when I meet the parents who watch the show with their child or kids, and they tell me how the show's had a huge impact on how they connect to their kids."

In the wake of Anthony Bourdain's and Kate Spade's recent passings, suicide has been in the front pages for several days now. We asked Christian if he feels the show has helped evolve and expand the vocabulary of such a sensitive issue. "I wouldn't presume to speak on those issues because I'm not an expert," he says. "But I can say, if we've only had a small impact on the topic, such as kids realizing this is a real issue, or the older generations starting to talk to the younger ones and help bridge the conversation -- if that's the only thing we've contributed to the situation then it's

7

an admirable job. We really wanted to help these kids who suffer from depression, bullying, trauma, and sexual assault. We wanted to try and give each of these topics a moment."

me so it's good to be a little bit insecure. In terms of my dream role, In The Heights is a big project right now that I feel like I have a connection to, but I would really love to be in a comic book movie, too."

As with most television series, the cast has bonded like a family, so we asked Christian who he feels his closest on-set 'brother' and 'sister' would be. "My closest 'sister' would definitely be Alisha Boe (who plays Jessica Davis)," he tells us. "She and I became really close friends really quickly. I love her and respect her a lot, and I feel like she's taken on a great responsibility with her character and she's done such wonderful things with it. My closest 'brother' is a difficult choice because I went to school with Brandon Flynn (Justin Foley) in college and we've been really good friends for a long time, but maybe my closest 'brother' on the show is Dylan Minnette, who plays Clay Jensen."

"There's a few characters like Nova, a young Hispanic character I love," he explains. "In the DC world there's the character of Blue Beetle which I'm really interested in, too. I'm actually writing a script about Blue Beetle and it would be a lot of fun to go down that road."

With season three of 13 Reasons Why getting its green light last week, Christian can truly enjoy his summer break knowing he has a lot of busy days to look forward to around the corner. So what are some of his favorite things that he's most passionate about these days? "I'm such fan of all-things comic book and Marvel," he says. "Avengers 4, I've seen six or seven times now." But one thing in particular he's thinking about a lot these days is the award-winning 2008 Broadway play, In The Heights. "Lin-Manuel Miranda's play In The Heights is being turned into a film, and it's about Latinos in Washington Heights, and that's my world. I'm super excited about possibly getting an opportunity on that, so I'm definitely going to try. I'm also excited about getting back to work on season three."

In a recent Instagram post of Christian's we noticed him pointing out some L.A. street art of Wonder Woman, so we thought it fitting to ask who his favorite Wonder Woman is in his own life. "My grandmother is one of the strongest people I know, period. She came over here with nothing from Puerto Rico at a young age and had two kids -- my father and my uncle -- at a time in the South Bronx where the odds were not in your favor to survive, let alone be successful." He adds, "She raised two successful young men, who in turn raised a handful of successful children. She's a matriarch, a Wonder Woman, and a superhero in her own right. Her story goes untold in a lot of ways, but hopefully not for long if I'm around to tell it."

Fans don't have to wait until season three to see Christian on the small screen. "I'm relaxing right now but I'll be L.A. next week for the MTV Movie Awards. Last year we presented the award to Stranger Things, but we hope we take it this year. After that I'm going to do a lot of reading and getting in shape, and prepare for season three."

"It feels wonderful to be part of such a huge hit show, but I'm also young and have so much drive," he says. "As opposed to enjoying this moment, I'd prefer to stay grinding -- I have a long career ahead of

You have had quite a career in entertaining audiences. What inspires you to perform as a dancer, actress and now singer? What inspired me to be a dancer was my mom. My parents owned our dance studio back home in Michigan so I basically grew up performing and competing. After moving to LA to become a professional dancer, I tried out acting around the age of 13. I was cast in the YouTube Red series “Dance Camp” at 15. What really drew me to acting was watching a lot of my other friends transitioning! As you may know, I've always wanted to be a singer and was fortunate to gain experience early on after being cast in an all girls group called "The 5 LP's. I have always been inspired by Britney Spears & Miley Cyrus growing up. I’m so happy to also have my fan base who support me and inspire me the most. You have now released seven original songs: what inspired you to become a songwriter? Any particular source(s) of inspiration? What inspired me to start songwriting was the mentors I have always been surrounded by. Working with the top songwriters in the business is amazing and I learn so much everyday by them! Mixing your three talents, in your recent cover music video of “The middle,” it is evident that singing and dancing are major passions: what goes through your mind when you perform? How do you feel when the first beat of the song starts? What goes through my mind when I perform is making sure I am focused and staying true to myself as a performer. I'm confident with all of the details of my performance from the choreography to the lyrics so when I perform I just let go, trust myself and let my body take over. When I hit the first beat of every song something comes over me that feels almost magical and everything just happens naturally. Is there anyone in your life who particularly inspired you, someone you consider a role model? I would consider my mom my biggest inspiration because she was a dancer and baton twirler and then owned our dance studio along with my dad. Kyle Williams Keiser, my godmother, was my mom's inspiration and mentor her whole life and has quickly taken on that roll in my own life. When you are not dancing, what is a hobby of yours that many fans may not know of and what makes it so special to you? I play Fortnite in my free time and I sometimes stream live on Twitch. Fortnite is a game where you battle 99 other people, drop in and load up, take down enemy’s and hopefully take that #1 Victory Royale! Being a dancer I was immediately drawn to the game because of the epic dance moves within the game itself. You have over 1.5 million subscribers on Youtube: what made you decide to start your own channel when you did in 2008? The reason we made my YouTube channel was due to the fact that we wanted to share my dances from when I was little and attending dance competitions. It was a great way to save those memories and to share with family and friends that weren't able to attend competitions. It has been a great keepsake and every now and then I will go back and watch some of my early dances. It's been a great way to remember my past, learn from my mistakes and to remember where I came from. As you may know, Bello magazine is a style and lifestyle outlet. Tell us about your personal style? Do you have a favorite designer? A piece of clothing or accessory you can’t be without? I love fashion! It’s a big part of my life. I really don’t have a favorite designer because I always want look different and wear something you wouldn’t expect! A favorite piece in my own collection and something I couldn’t live without are my new Balenciaga shoes! What is next for Jordyn Jones? I have so many amazing things coming up! First I have a phone case collaboration coming out with WildFlower and I will be selling them at Vidcon! Speaking of Vicon, I will be performing on stage there for my 3rd year in a row! I have an all new set & new dancers that were selected from the latest audition we had and I am excited to work with an all new team that will be headed up by choreographer Kevin Maher. I have a Facebook watch show where I take you along on my amazing journey with new episodes that post each Sunday! Most importantly I am releasing a brand new, original song THIS MONTH!! If you could go back in time to any era, which one would it be? GO. I wouldn’t want go back in the past. I'm living my best life right now and doing my thing in 2018!! Picture yourself 10 years from now: what does it look like? In 10 years I see would love to see myself continuing to perform on stages all over the world, sharing my love for life, dance and music with fans and hopefully get the opportunity to perform on award shows and being nominated for any one of them would be the icing on the cake.

COLTON UNDERWOOD Denim Jacket KOLLAR CLOTHING White T-Shirt ELWOOD

COLTON UNDERWOOD IS RECENTLY MAKING HEADLINES, BUT BELLO MAG WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SIT DOWN WITH THE “TEMPORARILY RETIRED” NFL FOOTBALL STAR A WHILE BACK TO GET TO KNOW THE TOWERING ATHLETE WITH A HEART OF GOLD. IN BETWEEN WORKING ON HIS NEXT VENTURE, AND RAISING AWARENESS & FUNDS TO FIND A CURE FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS WITH HIS OWN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, THE LEGACY FOUNDATION, THE ILLINOIS NATIVE COLTON IS SURE TO MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION ON THOSE HE MEETS.

You’ve been affiliated with the NFL for the past four years and now you’re ‘temporarily retired’. What’s been your experience with the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders? What has been the most important thing you learned? Playing in the NFL was a dream come true. Ever since I was a little boy I had my eyes set on being able to say I was a professional athlete. I worked hard every day to make sure that it became a possibility and sacrificed a lot for the game of f ootball. There have been so many great life lessons that have come from football, they have helped shape me into the man I am today. I always told myself I will never let football define who I am, I would only let in enhance who I am. What inspired you to start the Legacy Foundation? My cousin Harper was born with Cystic Fibrosis at birth, the same year the NFL became a reality. It felt like the right thing to do to align myself with raising awareness and money to find a cure for CF. I might have started the foundation for her, but I continue to fight everyday for the kids and people living with CF that I meet all around the country. What has been the most rewarding aspect of starting your own Foundation? The most rewarding aspect of starting my foundation was launching the Legacy Project. A project that allows me to travel across the country to all 50 states and surprise families and people living with CF in need of a new medical vest with the resources to stay healthy. We understand you’re connected with the Humane Society. How did you become involved with the divisions in Illinois and San Diego? Before any of my non profit work I was always a huge dog guy. Anytime I get the chance to promote adopting a new best friend, I take it. These animals are the most selfless creatures and deserve to be treated right! I worked closely with all the humane societies in every community that I played football in. You seem to be someone who’s been highly decorated with experience in both professional sports and non-profit sectors. Can you shine some light on entering the restaurant industry with opening (and now selling) 4th & Goal Grill? I always told myself I was more than a football player, so every off season I pushed myself to go outside the box and get a little bit better off the field. I dabbled in many business adventures to gain more real world experience. Using what I learned on the field allowed me to grow as a person off the field by exemplifying leadership and communication skills. Any plans for future ventures? I’m never done growing and will continue to do so, but for now I am focusing my attention on my non-profit and my personal life. I want someone to share all of these great moments with. That’s what life is all about. Fun One-Offs Pancakes or waffles? Waffles (with peanut butter and honey) Book or movie? Movie Superman or Batman? Ironman ;) Mountains or beach? Beach Instagram or Twitter? IG

HALEY PULLOS

Photography SARAH KRICK

HALEY PULLOS interview by Alexandra Bonnet IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD HER NAME YET, YOU’VE DEFINITELY SEEN HER IN MANY OF HER ROLES. FROM APPEARING ON THE EVERLASTING “GENERAL HOSPITAL,” TO APPEARING IN FILMS SUCH AS THE COLLECTOR TO THE CONTROVERSIAL FILM FROM STRAIGHT A’S TO XXX, THE DAYTIME EMMY AWARD NOMINEE IS SURE TO MAKE HOLLYWOOD HER HOME FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

You have had quite a career in your young age acting “General Hospital” one of the longest running daytime soap operas. How does it feel to be part of such a recording breaking show? It’s amazing!! It’s so cool to be a part of such an iconic show. I love when fans of the show tell me about their parents who’ve always watched, and their parents’ parents who’ve always watched, and stuff like that. It’s a show that has been in households for decades which is pretty awesome. What made you realize you wanted to be an actress? I was always really into performing when I was little. I’d dress up in princess costumes and sing Britney Spears songs for anyone who would sit and watch. Then, I was the lead in a couple school plays in first grade and I just totally fell in love, so my parents signed me up for acting classes! On your first day on set for your first movie, what were you feeling and how did you get through it? I was pretty nervous on my first day, of course, but I was also insanely excited. I just kept reminding myself to focus on the excitement and stay present in the moment. It also definitely helped that everyone was so nice. Who are some of the most influential people in your life who inspire you and push you to be the best you can be? There are a few people who inspire me! Natalie Portman is one of my absolute favorite actresses, for one. I love to watch and study the way she takes on each new character. Another huge inspiration for me when I was younger was Hilary Duff. She was my all time favorite actress when I was little and she was one of the reasons I wanted to start acting myself! How do you enjoy playing in different TV series? Do your roles vary significantly? I love getting to play different roles on different projects! It’s definitely one of my favorite parts of the job. It’s so fun to be able to really explore each character and get into their though processes. Some characters are lighter and more goofy, like my character Molly on Instant Mom. Other times it can get really intense like when I played Rachel on an episode of Scorpion. I am sure you have been asked about your film FROM STRAIGHT A’S TO XXX, which is different from your other roles. What did you do to prepare for such a controversial role? I did a crazy amount of studying for this role. The character was based on a real woman, Miriam Weeks. Luckily for me, Miriam did a ton of media so I had a lot of material to work from. I studied everything from her speech patterns to the way she walked to the way she changed when she became her alter, Belle Knox. I watched a docu-series that Miriam did which really got into who she was behind Belle. And she was this seriously awesome strong woman who defended herself and her beliefs, and I really enjoyed getting to portray that. Congratulations on winning your first Young Artist Award in 2010 and receiving a nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award, what do you attribute to your success. Thank you!! I think I am where I am today because of two things: opportunity and hard work. I’m so incredibly lucky to have the opportunities that I do, but it wouldn’t mean anything if I didn’t put in the effort.

65

June 2018

Bello

If you could create your own character in a movie or TV show, what would she/he be like? I think I would want my character to be super emotionally complex. She’d have a dark, unclear past but she’d use her emotional strength to to help people in some way. Say you are 40 years older, looking back on your career today: what is one thing you would tell yourself you wish you had done? I think future Haley would tell me that it’s important to seize every single opportunity. She’d tell me to focus on my passion for my craft and let it motivate me to work harder and harder every single day. It’s not gonna be easy, but it’s gonna be worth it. What’s new for you in 2018? I have a new movie coming out soon!! It’s called “No Good Deed,” and I get to play a sociopathic murderer, which was SO cool. I’d never played “evil” per se and I was really excited to finally get to explore that kind of character.

exclusive conversation with

MICHAEL MURPHY Photography ARTHUR GALVAO

MICHAEL MURPHY

AFTER STARTING HIS CAREER BY MAKING YOUTUBE VIDEOS, THE YOUNG MICHAEL MURPHY IS MAKING MOVES IN THE MAINSTREAM ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. ACTOR, FILM DIRECTOR, WRITER AND PRODUCER, HE DOES IT ALL. FROM PLAYING IN DIRTY 30, TO COMPLETING HIS LATEST PROJECT, "MAXINE THE HERO," MICHAEL'S PASSION FOR HIS WORK JUST KEEPS GROWING. HAVING KNOWN AT AGE SIX THAT HE WANTED TO BECOME A DIRECTOR, HE TURNED HIS CHILDHOOD DREAM INTO A REALITY

by Alexandra Bonnet You started your career by making videos on Youtube for over 1.5 million viewers: tell me more about that experience and how it made you feel. Did you expect such a good response from the audience? I can't really pin point a specific feeling that i've gotten from all this because it has been quite the rollercoaster. I truly never thought that I would be in this position. I remember getting very excited the day I hit 1000 subscribers, hoping that maybe one day I would get to 2000. But 1 million? No way. I didn't know what to expect when I first started. I saw what other YouTubers were doing and experiencing and I thought maybe one day I could make it happen for myself. And for some very lucky reason I connected with a whole lot of people who felt I was enough fun to spend 10 minutes watching once a week. What are your thoughts on the influence of social media today and how technology has made it accessible for creators to reach such a large audience? I think that the growth of the internet has been one of the best things to happen to humanity and the arts thus far. From a creator's point of view, it has really opened the gates to all people, allowing anyone to create and find an audience of their own. There are times that I wish I could time travel back to the 60s and 70s and try being a director the same way Spielberg and Scorsese did it, but I think in that case it would be an entirely different experience. With the technology we have now, giving us 24 hour access to everything and anything - it has literally put us all in the palms of each other's hands. But with great power comes great responsibility, and there are a whole lot of irresponsible people out there, gaining audiences using the wrong tactics. So, i'd say, as my final answer that it is: a wonderful thing yet a dangerous thing. If you could pick a favorite video you made, which one would it be and why? This is a tough one, i'd have to say as of right now, it would have to be "ANDY" or the "SHORT FILM ABOUT ANXIETY." I think I prefer these videos just because they are the ones I can watch back and still be proud of the work I did. I am truly my hardest critique, so it is rare that I feel this way about something I worked on. From creating content online, you changed paths into film directing. What inspired you to become a film director? Do you prefer any genre in particular? From the time I was a little boy (age 6) I had wanted to be a director. I became obsessed with watching behind the scenes videos of movies I've loved and from then on it I never stopped talking about it. The online content creation kinda just became my outlet. When I as 14 I had to start doing SOMETHING with the ideas in my head and start learning somehow - and so youtube became the place where I could organize all of my work. Somewhere that I could upload it and receive REAL feedback. As of right now my favorite genres to work on are ADVENTURE COMEDIES, DRAMAS, and SCI-FI! Can you tell us of future projects you are looking into directing? As of right now "MAXINE THE HERO" has just been complete. It has officially been entered into festivals which means it will be released much later this year - it is truly my favorite that i've made so far. In addition to that, I have been directing live action anime shorts with RE:ANIME PRODUCTIONS, and as of the current moment I am finishing the edits on "TOKYO GHOUL" and "NARUTO: KAKASHI vs OBITO". Most recently, I have started preproduction on "WILLY'S ROCK" - a sci-fi set in the 70s and other than that - I'm looking out for my first feature film, WHENEVER THAT MAY BE, and I am very excited about the stuff I have rolling out over the next few months!

You play in front of the camera and direct behind it: has being an actor help you become a better director? All things that I have done acting wise has immensely improved my insights as a director. You gather a better understanding of not only what an actor is experiencing while working on set, but also how to convey specific movements & motifs that you may want an actor to achieve in a character. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I have no idea. To be honest, I am terrified of the future. BUT IN A DREAM WORLD, I would love to be directing my 2nd or 3rd feature film and maybe executive producing a show of some sort. I've got big dreams, especially so young. I just hope that I get to continue doing what I love forever. If you were to reboot a movie, what will it be? I say this all the time, but I would KILL to direct the live action Treasure Planet (just because it is the first movie I ever saw in theaters as a kid). But I would also love to reboot Back to the Future or if I could, make just one last Pirates of the Caribbean movie, just as good as the first two. Just because those were the movies that were my main inspiration as a kid. If you were to direct a movie around it being titled BELLO, what would it be? I think it would be a film about a young boy named Bello who goes missing, in his small town, without a trace. And because the police can't seem to solve the case themselves, his 3 best friends band together to take matters into their own hands... but that is when they discover that he might have been abducted by aliens...

CANNES X FASHION by Philippe Uter @philppeuter It is one of the most famous red carpets in the world that sees international stars and other fashion models. Focus on the most flamboyant looks of this red carpet. No heels, no problem! Tara Swennen, Kristen Stewart stylist, makes her own Cannes style rules. To balance this boyish Chanel’s look, she added an edgy eye makeup and a retro hairstyle. Result? Against all expectations, sexy and feminine ! Another black pants look on the carpet. Cate Blanchett’s stylist choose a Givenchy Spring 2018 Haute Couture jumpsuit paired with Chopard long diamond earrings and a pretty pink lip. I don’t know you, but I would like to know how Milla Jovovich manage to be more and more beautiful. e actress wore a plunging lavender gown with crystal embellishments from Prada. Simple but beautiful, I like the Art deco vibe. Even tho I like this dress, I would say that her stylist could have fita little bit more the top. Diane Kruger always make an amazing appearance on the red carpet. is time again, we are not disappointed. Her stylist, Micaela Erlanger, is already famous for her beautiful work on Lupita Nyong’o, choose a baby blue Armani Privé look with a crystallized corset. Marni, Kendall’s stylist made a tricky choice on this dress but it totally worth it. e result on the carpet was stunning. She wore in a see-through silk-and- tulle Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown with Chopard jewels.

2018 Tribeca Film Festival Wrap-Up by Adrienne McIlvaine @mizocty

IT’S A GOOD THING NEW YORK CITY NEVER SLEEPS, BECAUSE THAT’S PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY WAY YOU’D EVER BE ABLE TO TAKE IN EVERYTHING THAT TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL HAS TO OFFER.

Over the past 17 years the downtown festival as transformed from co-founder Robert De Niro’s passion project meant to revitalize a devastated, post-9/11 downtown into an influential stop on the international film festival circuit. This year’s edition, which took place from April 18-29, whittled down over 3,400 feature film and documentary submissions into just 99 films, while also including dozens of short narrative and non-fiction entries. And that’s not even getting into TFF’s ever-growing TV component, or its VR and AR-focused experiences, or the talks, concerts, and panels that covered everything from a 35th anniversary screening of Scarface with Michelle Pfieffer and Al Pacino to an emotionally powerful #TimesUp day of action. And as if to prove that anything can happen at Tribeca, I had a major celebrity encounter on the very first day while picking up my press badge at Spring Studios; I shared an elevator with none other than Antonio Banderas, who was there to promote his role as Pablo Picasso in the upcoming NatGeo series Genius. Tribeca draws in critics and journalists from all over the world, but there’s something exciting about living just a few subway stops away from the temporary center of the city’s cinematic universe (which, to be fair, can be said of just about anything in

75

New York). Probably the best perk of covering the festival as a local was the access to two weeks of pre-festival press screenings. It was a great time to branch out and see films like the charming pseudo-mockumentary Saint Bernard Syndicate (above), about a hapless Norwegian duo who seeks fame and fortune breeding St. Bernards in China; and You Shall Not Sleep, a Spanish-language psychological horror film that haunted me for days. Another standout was Duck Butter, a painfully intimate romantic drama that won Alia Shawkat (who also co-wrote the film) the honor of Best Actress, U.S. Narrative. Even though you could spend the entire festival doing nothing but watching movies, you’d be missing out on so much. I spent one raucous evening watching a never-before-seen episode of Comedy Central’s Drunk History while double-fisting Don Julio on the rocks, surrounded by fans who roared with recognition every time a new comedian appeared on screen; the subsequent conversation between series creator Derek Waters and frequent co-star Josh Charles was definitely well-lubricated, touching upon how they purposefully worked to foreground women both in front of the camera and behind it. And of the festival’s wide range of VR and AR offerings, the one that affected me the most was This

is Climate Change, a harrowing four-part miniseries (also available as an app) that chronicled in devastating detail how our warming atmosphere is already wreaking havoc on Earth. There’s a sense of camaraderie that flows through Tribeca (or maybe it was just the intoxicating smell of movie popcorn). While waiting in line for an early weekend screening of (deep breath) 7 Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss by Passing Through the Gateway Chosen by the Holy Storsh (a flawed but funny comedy about cult ritual suicide) I talked with a few other patrons about films we’d seen and the ones we’d wished we had, teasing out new insights and making earnest recommendations. Because even when you’ve just spent two weeks, eating, sleeping, and breathing movies, there’s always room for one more.

Christian Navarro PHOTOGRAPHY ARTHUR GALVAO

13 REASONS WHY A wise man once defined the concept of 'good luck' as something that happens when "preparation and hard work meet opportunity." And no one understands this better than 26-year-old actor Christian Navarro.
