Our earliest clients were financial institutions and in 1950 one of the firm’s partners drafted the constitution for the first Stock Exchange. In 1955, John lewis joined the firm and became its senior partner. The team Hans Stern FOUNDER Lawyer Senior Hans has considerable experience advising clients on a wide range of litigious matters, including high value contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, negligence claims and claims in relation to breach of copyright and passing off. Hans also has experience of claims involving defamation and privacy and she regularly attends two national newspapers to give prepublication advice. As a result, she understands the need to minimise legal and regulatory risks such as invasion of privacy or contempt prior to the publication of material without compromising freedom of expression. He is also often invited to contribute to external publications and broadcasts on matters involving privacy, defamation and IP rights.
Rebecca Jones Lawyer Senior Counseller Rebecca has experience advising clients on a wide range of litigious matters, including high value contractual disputes, partnership disputes, and property litigation disputes, including commercial and residential property possession proceedings.
