Kanesville Symphony Orchestra’s Fall 2021 performance, “Nightmare of Dissonance”, blends old and new musical experiences with a theatrical performance representative of the struggles humanity might go through on any given day. Life is full of as many frustrations as it is of times of joy, but there are very few days where we choose to experience the dark over the light. This time of year gives us the chance to accept the darkness in the present as we look forward to the light of tomorrow. Music for the concert ranges from older classics such as Die Erlkonig or the well-known Funeral March, to more recent works written by in-house composer James-Michael Sellers. Artwork is provided by PACE Studio Artist, Susan Woodford. Choreography by Alfred Ibsen. The wonderful stage presence, including narration, for this evening is provided by Cork Ramer. The performance this evening is presented to you as a form of musical theatre, with music, words, and movement joining forces to provide you with nothing more... than a “Nightmare of Dissonance”. Come join us for our next Spring Concert where we are premiering Dr. Fred Hanna’s Piano Concerto No.1 performed by Dr. Momoro Ono. We also be performing works from the Russian greats César Cui and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
