INFORMATION
How Will Your Company Benefit?
The students from VIA School of Business, Technology and Creative Industries have a solid theoretical foundation which they are looking forward to try out in practice.
The work placement period is placed relatively late within the programme. Therefore, the students have developed a wide range of competences and can as such offer the company qualified assistance.
There are several ways in which an intern may contribute to your company. The students come with the newest knowledge within their field and are able to help see the company in a different light. Your company will in return give the student great professional and personal challenges.
Having an intern is a good opportunity for the company to meet potential future employees.
WHAT WILL IT COST YOUR COMPANY?
As a starting point, there are no requirements in terms of salary for students on work placement from the engineering, technology, design and business programmes at VIA. It is up to the individual company to determine whether they wish to pay the student a salary.
However, the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) recommends an indicative salary for all engineering students. Find more information on www.ida.dk or contact Career Service Centre at VIA University College.
If the geographical distance between the company and the student on work placement is large, some companies choose to provide financial support for either the transport or the accommodation.
