PALATINE CHILDREN’S CHORUS
Palatine Children’s Chorus welcomes all children ages 4–18 who love to sing! Beginning its 34th season in September, our singers from throughout the Northwest Suburbs enjoy a variety of musical experiences in the Sing with Me (ages 4–5), Do Re Mi (ages 6–7), Treble (ages 8+), Intermezzo, Concert, and Honors Choirs. Palatine Children’s Chorus safely nurtures children’s voices, introduces all age groups to a variety of music, and offers each level appropriate and safe vocal instruction and music education. Our traveling choirs have performed all around the world, including Hawaii, Montreal, England, Austria, Venice, Spain, Ireland, Carnegie Hall in New York City, and other locations. Additionally, the choirs have performed for the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Joffrey Ballet, and at the Illinois State Fair. Sing With Me has gone virtual! Join Mrs. Kathy online for a fun singing class! Sing With Me, part of the Palatine Children’s Chorus, is a musical learning experience for the very young child who loves to sing. With lots of movement and creative play, children will learn music basics and how to sing in a way that won’t harm their vocal cords. This class leads directly to Do Re Mi for ages 6-7. The Do Re Mi Choir is designed specifically for 6-7 year old children. In this class, which is part of the Palatine Children’s Chorus, your children will experience a musical adventure involving games, movement, rhythm instruments, sol-fa, and singing. Do Re Mi singers learn about music through a variety of exciting, hands-on activities and grow musically to prepare them for the next level of the Palatine Children’s Chorus. Register to pick up a free family birdhouse kit. Kits can be picked up at Community Center between September 1st and 8th. Take it home and decorate it using your creativity! Return your decorated birdhouse by 9/15 to the Community Center to enter our contest and to have your house hung in the trees in Towne Square! The birdhouses will be part of an Art in the Park display leading up to the Park District's 75th anniversary on September 26th. **These houses are more decorative than functional, and will be subjected to the weather. Notification of when to pick up houses will be emailed to families.

ROCK ‘N KIDS IS ROCKIN AT HOME!
Sing, dance, play and learn YOUR way in this virtual music and movement class! Registered participants will receive an email from Rock ‘N Kids on Mondays at 8:00a.m. with that week’s pre-recorded, private, 30-minute virtual class, allowing families to participate on their own time. The session’s musical activities will be based on the theme of A Whole New World! Each week we will pretend to ride on our magic carpets to explore a new place! It will be a musical adventure! Activities will include opening songs, weekly theme introduction, 5-6 additional music activities, and closing songs. LEARN MAGIC TRICKS
Professional magician Gary Kantor now teaches his popular magic class ONLINE. This 45-minute online class teaches children how to perform a number of mind-boggling tricks using everyday household items. Gary will start by explaining the secrets to the tricks, and then both Gary and the children will practice everything in great detail. The children will have a blast as they learn exactly what to say and do when performing in front of an audience. And since this class is online, it can be taken whenever it is convenient for your schedule. And the videos can be watched again and again. Your entire family can even take this class together! Professional balloon artist Gary Kantor introduces a 45 minute online class that teaches children the techniques needed to take plain balloons and transform them into incredible balloon animals (like dogs, butterflies, fish, etc.). E-Learning is almost done for the year and school will be out! Have the slime of your life creating Mindful Slime with Coach Lisa Lombardi! We will please our senses and stay in the present. Any worries will be put aside as we have a blast creating STRETCHY SLIME, GOOEY OOBLECK, AND CLOUD DOUGH! Our slime creations will pop like fireworks, smell like summer and be colored to remind kids of the beach. Visit the team’s website at palatinegymnastics.org. Palatine Gymnastics offers developmental classes for children 1½ years through 8th grade. The preschool program emphasizes body awareness, strength, and coordination. Girls are introduced to the fundamental skills that are used in vault, bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Boys are introduced to vault, bars, rings, pommel horse, and tumbling. The dress code for girls is a leotard or t-shirt and shorts (fitted or biker type) and hair must be tied up. The dress code for boys is a t-shirt and shorts (fitted or biker type). Please register your child for an age-appropriate program level. Advanced classes are available for those children who show, through evaluation, a readiness to move to the next level. These classes are indicated with a star () and instructor permission is required before registering. Register your child for the gymnastics level he or she is presently attending. You will be notified if your child qualifies to advance to the next level. Children new to the program, or those who have missed a session, need to be evaluated. Training with a group is perfect for exercisers with similar goals. A few friends can train together, reduce the cost, and get the expertise and motivation of a certified personal trainer. Sessions are sold to each individual in the group and all individuals must purchase their sessions prior to the first scheduled training.
