80 YEARS CELEBRATING

Palatine Park District is excited to celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2025! Did you know the 80th anniversary is symbolized by the oak tree? Like the mighty oak tree, we are rooted in our commitment to the Palatine Community. Over the years, the District has weathered many seasons, continually growing and always thriving.

As we reflect on our progress over the past 80 years, it’s also essential to look forward to how we will shape the future.

To guide us, we are launching Play On Palatine, our Comprehensive Master Plan. This initiative honors our rich history while paving the way for future growth.

The Comprehensive Master Plan focuses on enhancing recreation facilities, expanding green spaces, and introducing innovative programs for all ages.

Together with our community and stakeholders, we will elevate our parks and facilities, making Palatine a vibrant place where everyone can enjoy nature and community life.

Visit playonpalatine.com for more information. Here’s to celebrating our past and embracing a bright future with Play On Palatine!

Book by Joseph Stein | Music by Jerry Bock Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick

Original Production Directed & Choreographed by Jerome Robbins

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tightknit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

It's 1985, and rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. He's the life of the party until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and, unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. 15, 22 2:00PM 8, 15, 22 8:00PM 9, 16, 23 3:00PM
