Ana Lucia Beck

PhD in Comparative Literature (UFRGS, Brazil), with a period as Visitor Research Student at King’s College London. Master in Art History, Theory and Criticism. In my dissertation, I addressed the relationship between word and image (the encounter of verbal and visual) in poetry and in the works of art of Brazilian artist José Leonilson. I’m an artist interested in drawing, photography, poetry, embroidery and others witch could be understood under the idea of drawing in contemporary art. I also taught Art courses for 13 years at ULBRA. Doutora em Literatura Comparada pelo IL/UFRGS, com período de pesquisa no King's College London. Mestre em História, Teoria e Crítica da Arte pelo IA/UFRGS. Sou artista plástica e me interesso pelo desenho, fotografia, bordados e outras produções que podem ser entendidas enquanto desenho sob uma ótica contemporânea, assim como pelas relações entre o visual e o verbal.
