Day One | One Net Best Ball of 2
Both players will play their own ball for the entire hole. Record the best net score of the two.
Day Two | Shamble
Both players tee off and select the best drive and play their own ball in from that position. Record the best net score.
Shootout Format
The shoot-out will be determined by taking the teams with the lowest 36-hole net score from each flight. The five (5) teams will play in a par 3 shoot-out on Hole 18. No strokes will be allocated. Flight 1 will play the longest yardage, flights 2-3 will play the middle yardage, and flights 4-5 will play the shortest yardage An alternate shot format will be used with no player hitting consecutive shots during the hole The team with the lowest score will be the tournament champion. If teams are still tied, a closest to pin chip-off will be used to determine the tournament champion.
Ties
The committee will use the USGA matching of scorecards method to decide ties within flights and low gross from day two. The procedure will use the final 9 holes, final 6 holes, final 3 and then the 18th if needed

Tees: #4 Tees
Handicap Allowance: Day 1: Each player will receive 85% of their handicap in the better ball format. Day 2: Each player will receive 80% of their handicap in the shamble format The ball must be played as it lies in the better ball format In the shamble format, it will be lift, clean and place for both balls only at the drive location Maximum of 36 strokes per player There are no “GIMMIES” in this format and all putts must be putted out for the official score on each hole Partners may pick up if out of the hole to keep pace of play. The golf shop will post your score from the tournament as a competition score for round 1 only. Scores from day 2 cannot be posted.
Scorecards: To keep scoring consistent, place the gross scores on the top line, then bring down the net score. One member from each team must sign and attest the official scorecard upon completion of play. Scores are deemed returned when competitors have left the scoring area. It is the player’s responsibility to record a score If you pick up on a hole, please record your most likely score
Local Rules: Player’s may elect to take relief from sprinkler heads that are within 2 club lengths from the green and the ball is within two club lengths of the sprinkler head Rule 16 1b will apply Out of Bounds: Is now defined by ALL PROPERTY STAKES, which are green with white on top Currently, the only white stakes are on holes that have existing homes
Roads, paved paths and cart paths: Are considered obstructions and relief is given without penalty The player can play off a cart path without taking relief If you choose to take relief, Rule 16 1a applies The player must lift the ball and drop it without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief.
Abnormal Course Conditions: Interference by an abnormal course condition occurs when a ball lies in or touches the condition or when the condition interferes with the player’s stance or the area of intended swing If the ball lies in The General Area, the player must lift the ball and drop it, without penalty, within one club-length of the nearest point of relief, but not nearer the hole
Hole 18 Brick Wall : A player’s ball that comes to rest on hole 18 along the constructed brick wall may opt to play the ball as it lies but may also use the designated drop area as an additional relief option without penalty. Any ball coming to rest over the brick wall must not be played and will be required to play from the drop area without penalty.
Penalty Areas: Defined by red lines and stakes – Ball drops will be available on holes 2, 6, 7, 10 and 14 Native Areas: Consist of areas of off-white sand that are not enclosed entirely by turf These areas are considered in The General Area and there is no penalty for grounding a club in these sanded areas
Doubt as to procedure: In stroke play only, a competitor may play, without penalty, a second ball as prescribed in Rule 20.1c
Inclement Weather Procedure : If we do encounter any severe weather and need to clear the course, the staff will blow one long horn to signal that play has stopped and to take shelter. There will be 3 short blasts to signal that play has resumed
