Summertime and lemonade go hand in hand. So let’s welcome summer with some homemade lemonade! Spice it up by adding fresh lavender or thyme sprigs. And look out for next month’s recipe, as I’ll share another fun way to use it! Hope you enjoy and happy summer! Ingredients: 1 cup fresh lemon juice 1 cup granulated sugar (can be substituted with the same amount of light agave nectar) 41/2 cups water Optional: 1 sprig of fresh lavender or 1 large sprig of thyme Directions: 1. Simmer 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in small saucepan over medium heat stirring regularly until sugar is dissolved. 2. Remove from heat, place fresh lavender or fresh thyme into hot mixture, and let cool in pan until room temperature. 3. Pour mixture and sprig into desired jar or pitcher and add lemon juice and 3 1/2 cups cold water. Refrigerate and serve cold. Enjoy!
