Updates from the principal’s desk... Dear Panaga School Community, Middle Years Deputy Principal - Staffing Update With progress taking place in work permit approval processes, we are now able to announce the appointment of our Middle Years Deputy Principal, Mr Robert Unsworth (pictured). Robert is due to join Panaga School by Term 2 (January) 2021. He has over 20 years of education experience, holding positions of teacher, curriculum and senior leadership roles. Robert is British and Panaga School currently resides in Turkey, with his wife and two IFM/4, BSP Company Sdn Bhd, children, where he works as an Assistant Head Teacher, leading academics and middle years Seria, KB 3534, Negara Brunei education from Year 6 (P7) to Year 9 (M3). Robert has Darussalam formal education and teaching experience in the areas of Mathematics, Science and English. (+673) 3375728/3372139 (Teraja/ Melilas),

I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the excellent leadership of Miss Danni in Melilas as she navigates contingencies for leadership, working with our great teachers, together improving learning.

Thank You Miss Emma and Miss Claire We know that our school’s success is based on our excellent teachers. This week, parents of P2 thanked Miss Emma and Miss Claire for ensuring Principal: that their students’ learning and wellbeing Cindy Bin Tahal remained a priority despite the absence of key (+673) 3372355/ staff. Miss Emma has assumed the P2 Year 8777028 Group Leader Role in an acting capacity, with cindybintahal@ panagaschool.com Miss Claire fulfilling both her Deputy Principal role, as well as accommodating full time teaching. This week, Rampayoh, Teraja and Melilas have been presented with Diwali assemblies. Many thanks to our parent community for leading these wonderful learning opportunities and celebrations. We shall share photos in next week’s Panaga School Weekly (PSW). Friday 27.11.20 we look forward to seeing everybody expressing themselves creatively in how they dress and bringing along a donate in support of the great work of our Parent and Teacher Association. Abstract Expressionism (Jackson Pollock) is a type of art that expresses feelings and thoughts. It is art that shows emotions and ideas through nonrepresentational forms.

Pointilism (Georges Seuret) is a technique painting in small, distinct dots of colour in patterns to form an image .

Surrealism (Joan Miro) is an imaginative type of art where things are like a dream or fantasy.

Art Nouveau (Gustav Klimit) is a way to add an artistic design to everyday looking objects.

The students of Melilas have had a busy term of PE and after school sporting activities. Record numbers have been attending the Netball sessions whilst Rugby sessions are gaining in popularity. Thanks to all the teachers and parents who have helped to keep our students fit and healthy.
