They showcase their work in their homes, studios, community centres and even garden sheds to members of the public over 3 separate weekends. This brochure provides you with information on the different artists taking part in PAOS 2018, their artistic disciplines and where to find them. 108 artists are exhibiting at 46 different locations all over the city and surrounding villages.

Studios open 23, 24, 30 June, 1, 8, 9 July www.paos.org.uk

What to expect When you visit the venues, you will receive a warm welcome and the opportunity to enjoy seeing original arts and crafts and meet the makers and creators. I am a photographer based in Peterborough, specifically interested in capturing unusual and unique moments, shots which highlight unexpected phenomena and more recently Art Photography.

Pictures of people and objects in interior and exterior spaces. I’m still experimenting with materials and techniques, continuously looking at colour, light, form, shadows, depth and line. The exhibition will be running from 15th June - 15th July.

My work often depicts images of black women and explores themes such as living in the moment and leaning into our emotions. Although I have more experience using watercolours, for the past few years I’ve enjoyed experimenting with various other media.

My art is diverse and influenced by the vibrancy and passion of the Caribbean. I work in a variety of mediums and have been exhibiting my work since 2006.

Keramika Creations is a collaboration between two sisters. Porcelain pieces are incorporated into themed jewellery ranges, unique artworks and glass bubbles.

I continue to be attracted to bold and geometric shapes with colour to enhance the effect. I am also exploring a new technique of glass-carving this year.

Life paintings that contain a quiet presence are contrasted with work in stronger colour. Abstract and landscapes described in sweeps and blocks of colour are a close second love.

Free-machine embroidery forms a major part of my work taking inspiration from the land and nature around me. My books are made entirely by hand.

My oil paintings and drawings are of expressionistic themes of portraits and the Caribbean featuring prominently. Other portraits are of outsiders like clowns and tramps. Most oils are large size.

I make one-off pieces of jewellery in glass, silver, copper, silk and semi-precious stones. Inspired by the materials and their varying and fabulous qualities of colour, texture and form.

I fell in love with Japanese paper cuts as a shy art student in 1973, returning to its delights on retirement, with a personal slant on this technique.

My mosaics are quirky, original and all have a story to tell. It is important for me as an artist to tell those stories, making it not just a mosaic but a mosaic with a real energy and history behind it. .They are colourful and exciting. I use many different components including, glass, ceramic, vintage jewels, beads, stones and anything that takes my eye.

Sam works with acrylics on canvas. They are driven by shape and colour. He favours bold, vibrant, striking palettes. His process is organic: he does not use brushes or tools, just body parts (predominantly hands, feet, legs, arms) to apply the paint.

My main focus is painting using acrylics. Subject matter includes portraits, life study, landscape, and the occasional still life. I’ve spent a number of years studying the use of different media, portraiture, life study, and landscape painting under the tutorage of professional artists including John & Jayne Paige, Joanna Crawford, and John Russell.

I enjoy developing my work so that my paintings and etchings can speak to both me and to others. I am influenced by the elements of design: colour, texture, shape, line, value and direction. In 2015, I completed an advanced printmaking course, where I explored different printing techniques.

I am a local artist printmaker and have been focusing on the medium of Linocut for the last 3 years. I use relief printing techniques to produce original handmade limited edition prints that are predominantly black and white images and have a graphic quality to them.
