BOX IS IDEAL FOR FRIENDS WITH SUMMER ..........................................................................
➊ Cut strips of blue paper slightly deeper than the bottom of the gift box. Cover the sides, keeping any joins at the corners. Snip notches from the corners, fold over and stick the excess inside and underneath.
Thread turquoise, yellow and pink beads onto the cotton before adhering the ends to the top right of the box lid.
➋ Repeat step one with the lid, using the floral patterned paper from the kit. Attach white ribbon around the bottom edge of the lid.
➍ Cut three circles from the following three papers: pink butterfly, yellow floral and solid pink. Starting from the outside, snip into spirals. Wind the strips up to create flowers and add a spot of glue to hold in place.
➌ For the gift tag, make a small hole in the top of the heart shape shown, then loop a length of cotton through it.
➎ Create two leaf shapes with the aqua card. Scrunch up and glue to the lid with the flowers, covering the

ends of the cotton. To finish, create a square slightly smaller than the size of the box base and stick it in place to cover any paper edges.

k techniques to try
➋ Trace shapes from the template (photocopy the template and reduce or enlarge to get your chosen size). Transfer the tracing to the back of the card
➌ Carefully cut out your shape with scissors or a craft knife
➍ Score folds and flaps with a bone folder or the back of a pair of scissors
➎ Assemble the shape without sticking it together to ensure it all fits together and that no adjustments need to be made
➏ Once you know it works, adhere doublesided tape to the flaps and stick all but the one that joins the top of your shape together
➐ Stick the thread to the top flap so it will come out of the top of your shape. Stick the last flap together to complete the charm
➑ If you're making a mobile keep the thread long, if you are making a hanging decoration make a short loop
➒ Repeat previous steps with larger and different shapes
➊ Glue your paper onto 150gsm card or paper with PVA glue and leave to dry
