Farmer Autovillage has claimed a raft of industry awards over the years. This year, Farmer Autovillage won coveted dealership of the year awards for Audi, Jeep, Volkswagen Commercial, Volkswagen Passenger and Volkswagen overall, alongside several individual awards. Group managing director Mike Farmer and group parts manager Mark Ferguson identified the need to support the growing trade network in New Zealand and set up a dedicated trade parts team solely focused on trade customers. The Farmer Trade Centre team initially started with three team members and has quickly grown to seven full time sales specialists and nine warehouse staff across three warehouses. Farmer Trade Centre manager Mitchell Roberston says genuine is the best way to go when servicing or repairing customers’ vehicles; parts that are built to the manufacturer’s specifications and designed to fit right, the first time. The Farmer Trade Centre provides genuine parts for 17 international marques: Nissan, Audi,
Volkswagen, Skoda, Subaru, Seat, Cupra, Jeep, Ram, MG, Haval, GWM, Rollerteam, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, and Chrysler. In 2021, Farmer Trade Centre opened a 2000 square metre warehousing and distribution centre to accommodate an even larger range of spare parts. The trade centre stocks an extensive range of service items, replacement parts, fluids, electrical items, windscreens, panels and can rapidly procure any unstocked parts. Mitchell says the team is always looking for innovative solutions to support the network and has teamed up with the Blackfern automotive cooperative so now trade customers nationwide can access their service.
