The Summit Lodge
is Hitting the Heights
For nearly 60 years Pathfinder Homes has been a leading manufacturer of luxurious residential park homes and innovative holiday lodges that bring ground-breaking concepts to the industry resulting in the company winning ‘Lodge of the Year’ two years in a row, 2013 and 2014.

With a largely natural palette of colours enhanced by accents of scarlet, the décor of the lodge takes its inspiration from the great outdoors, with Himalayan and Tibetan influences. The result is one of comfort and opulence combined, which has the wow factor, while ensuring families will feel right at home.
Now Pathfinder is tipped to follow this incredible success with its latest lodge called The Summit, which was first unveiled at The Ideal Home Show in Olympia this Spring. Pathfinder Homes once again collaborated with the Dream Lodge Group on the creation of The Summit, having successfully worked together in the past - notably on La Belle Maison, which won the Ultimate Lodge of the Year Award in 2013. The Summit was the only timber-framed holiday lodge at the exhibition, and what a ground-breaking design it was! Simon Moir, Dream Lodge Group’s Managing Director came up with the concept after a luxurious skiing break in the Alps and the Pathfinder team turned it into a reality.
The exterior of the Summit is finished naturally, with cedar cladding, dark grey frames and perfectly square glass panes, which all cohesively creates a snug environment. Inside, Pathfinder’s team of interior designers have created a large open plan living area and an attractive sitting/dining room featuring a curved television with media surround sound system resting on bespoke fitted units and fireplace. A feature wall in real stone cladding is particularly spectacular. Just behind the living space is the sociable open kitchen with hanging extractor, full oven and ceramic induction hob with integrated dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler and racks. The worktops are Corian as is the bar, which creates a cozy socializing spot, illuminated by four hanging pendant lamps. The dining area has a large bespoke dining table and matching chairs where altogether ten people could be seated. There are 3 luxurious bedrooms, two with gorgeous en suite bathrooms featuring blue stone marble basins and under-floor heating. There is also a snug den with bespoke bunkbeds and built in TV. There is a further separate toilet and basin for guests in the hall.
Mike Wills, Pathfinder MD their superb holiday group, Dream Lodge Group are able to present a sound return on investment with the incredible demand for holidays. They may struggle to allow holiday time for you! Pathfinder Homes and The Dream Lodge Group will together be presenting The Summit again at the Grand Designs Live Show, which takes place in May at Excel.
“We put so much thought and attention to detail into every lodge we create,” Mike Wills, Pathfinder MD told Holiday Parks Management Magazine at The Ideal Home Show. “We work at least a year ahead and we source every element carefully to ensure that we create an environment that is both inspirational but comfortable and hardwearing. With The Summit, we have chosen interesting textures such as stone, fur throws and natural wood to create a décor that works well all year round and which could be personalized to suit individual tastes.”

Skelwith Fold says its new Hideaway pods have been warmly welcomed by holiday home owners wanting to share their experiences with another couple, but not the same roof. Until this year, it was only possible to stay on the 130-acre Ambleside park if you owned one of its 300 caravan holiday homes, or came with a touring caravan or motorhome. For 2015, however, Skelwith Fold has created a small settlement of Hideaway pods in a quiet forest glade which can he hired by couples for three-night breaks. Each features a comfortable double bed, shower and loo, kitchen zone with microwave, oven and fridge, TV, and lounge-cumdining space. Measuring 14ft x 10ft, the pods also boast large picture windows, and folding fully-glazed doors leading onto a timber decking area with a pull-out sunshade. Skelwith Fold director Henry Wild said the Hideaways proved an immediate success – but that, surprisingly, a large number of bookings were being made by holiday home owners: "We discovered that a many owners had long wanted to invite a couple of their friends of family to join them on a stay, but were less keen on compromising their privacy," said Henry. "The pods are a perfect solution because the two parties can share their daytimes and evenings together, but then go their own separate ways at bed-time.” There is more information about the park and its pods at www.skelwith.com

Massive Refurbishment at Port Haverigg A £1.2 Million refurbishment programme is taking place at one of Wyldecrest’s soon-to-be flagship Holiday Parks at Marina Village, Port Haverigg. Plans include new tarmac roads throughout the entire site, drives for all plots, new plot bases and also a brand new play area. All of this is to improve, not only the quality of the entire park, but also to accommodate a new development phase. New “premium” plots will be perfectly merged with our 197 current caravans and lodges, offering stunning views of the watersports and fishing lake. “I’m completely delighted with this improvement programme”, says Alfie Best. “We are working to increase our holiday makers quality of life, but also moving forward, to offer even more people the chance of spending true quality time with friends and family at this stunning park, in this amazing location, which is full of potential”, adds the Wyldecrest Parks’ Chairman. Wyldrecrest Parks is also breathing life back in to Port Haverigg Marina Village, by developing the unique facilities offered by this park located near the picturesque town of Millom, surrounded by sandy beaches and amazing landscapes. This includes revamping the “Watersports and Marina”, which offers a wide range of watersports ativities with fully accredited instructors, one-to-one tuition and equipment hire. The lake has recently hosted The UK Wakeboarding Championships and is popular with water skiers from beginner to professional level. Sports fans may have seen documentaries about the Port Haverigg Watersports Team, featured on Channel 4 and The Extreme Channel on SKY TV.
Ullswater family scoops top holiday award Family and staff at Park Foot Caravan and Camping Park near Pooley Bridge in Cumbria are celebrating after gaining a top national accolade in the annual AA holiday awards. The park, on the shores of Ullswater, was named as the overall winner in the "Holiday Centre of the Year" category of the honours, beating more than 3000 other parks in Britain to the title. Park Foot has been in the Allen family's ownership for over 60 years, and is today one of Cumbria's largest and most successful holiday providers. At the helm of the business is Jimmy Allen and his daughters Barbara Allen and Fiona Bell along with Fiona's husband Malcolm. Originally a farm, Park Foot first started welcoming campers in the early 1950s. Soon the park began to expand by also offering holiday caravans to rent and buy as well as camping and touring pitches. Now it has around 130 luxury caravan holiday homes spread throughout the 40-acre grounds, and 400 pitches for campers and the owners of touring caravan and motorhomes. Speaking on behalf of the family, Barbara Allen said that Park Foot's new AA award celebrates not just the park, but also the 20 full-time staff and 30 seasonal workers which the business employs in summer: "Standards of customer service are an important criteria for these awards, so our team at Park Foot can take a major share of the credit for this achievement," said Barbara. "We hope the publicity it generates will also benefit other local tourism businesses by putting the spotlight on North Cumbria and all the amazing holiday experiences it can offer," she added.

expected to support private landlords in their own areas to meet their new responsibilities with the provision of free alarms, with grant funding from government.
It is believed that the move could help prevent up to 26 deaths and 670 injuries a year.
The Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) welcomes this development as a positive step towards making tenanted households safer. Mark Oakes, Head of Specialist Group Services at
England's 46 fire and rescue authorities are

B&ES, said: "We welcome this new legislation as it will mean landlords will have to install smoke alarms on each storey of their property and carbon monoxide alarms in the rooms considered most at risk from high levels of carbon monoxide and to check the alarms are in working order at the start of any new tenancy. "We especially applaud the inclusion of carbon monoxide alarms in the legislation; the vast majority of landlords offer a good service and have installed smoke alarms in their properties but the same cannot be said of carbon monoxide alarms.”
Wessex ‘Super’ Lodge was a star attraction at Elite show Wessex exhibited alongside the Waterside Group at The Elite Luxury Brand Show in May. Positioned alongside jets, helicopters, supercars and a host of luxury brands, the Waterside Group’s, Elite ‘Super’ Lodge, was described by show organisers as “a star attraction”. The Elite Show, which aptly took place at Rizon Jet, Biggin Hill Airport, is London’s most exclusive jet-set lifestyle event. With over 100 luxury lifestyle brands featured: from aviation where visitors could experience hands-on a wide selection of corporate and private aircraft; to marine where premium brand powerboats and luxury yachts were on display; to a supercar showcase of the finest luxury and classic cars, The Elite certainly didn’t disappoint those who visited. Designed exclusively for the Waterside Group’s prestigious Osmington development in Dorset, the Elite luxury lodge, a perfect example of Wessex quality, craftsmanship and unique style was a true showstopper. As the only exhibit of it’s kind on display, The Elite lodge brought a new dimension to the show, presenting new possibilities to the discerning audience. The idea of specifying a unique luxury lodge, to individual requirements and taste, seemed to be a whole new concept to those who viewed the lodge and one with huge appeal. Peter Berwick, Sales Director commented: “ We’ve had a fantastic couple of days at The Elite Luxury Brand Show. The success of this lodge is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Wessex from the meticulous and creative sales and design teams involved in the specification and design, to the skilled craftsmen who made this ‘Super’ lodge become a reality.”
FREE EU Funded Water Efficiency Training Many buildings are wasting vast quantities of water every year and there is a monetary cost as well as an environmental cost to this excessive water use. Yet it is easy to save significant amounts of water, often with very low cost solutions. The trick is to understand where the building is using water efficiently, and where it is wasting water; after that the most cost effective solutions can be identified and implemented. The Centre For Alternative Technology is offering two courses free of charge to companies based in the following authorities: the Isle of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire,

With oil prices dropping we have seen lower energy prices - but how does this relationship really work and should you fix long term or short term energy contracts for your holiday park? For the answer I turned to Richard King, newly appointed Head of External Sales at Power Solutions UK based in Chester, a business I have a long association with. Previously Richard has worked for over twelve years as a power and gas trader on the wholesale energy markets in both London and Europe, working for International Power, GDF Suez and ESB International. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.

Long term vs short term energy contracts
for UK holiday parks
Q and A with Richard King, Head of External Sales at Power Solutions How do you see the energy markets developing in 2015? Wholesale power prices have been particularly volatile in the last 6 months driven primarily by dramatically falling oil prices. From a high of $115 in June 2014 the price of a barrel of Brent crude fell to a 6 year low of $47 in early January this year, caused by an oversupplied market due to the increased supply of new shale oil production in North America. However we have seen a recent stabilisation in oil prices around the $60 mark, which represents the breakeven cost for most of the new supplies on the oil market. A recent cut in the production of natural gas from the giant Groningen gas field in the Netherlands also caused a rise in gas prices across Europe in February, and there have also been recent supply issues in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
How does the political situation in Ukraine effect UK energy prices? The potential for supply disruption to European energy markets remains a very real threat while the conflict continues in Eastern Ukraine as Russia remains the single most import exporter of oil and gas into Europe. Last year Russia supplied 34% of all EU oil imports and nearly 40% of natural gas imports, with a large proportion utilising pipelines through neighbouring transit countries such as Ukraine. Russia has used the threat of oil and gas supply interruptions to further its political goals in the past, and poses a very real upside risk to energy prices. Additional geopolitical tensions in oil and gas exporting countries such as Libya, Nigeria and Iraq as well as the ISIS insurgency in the Middle East all add to the threat of disruptions to energy supplies and price volatility as well.
business’ energy bills, although there are exemptions from CCL for certain industries.
increase in demand for energy products. The US economy continues its recent solid growth with a 2% rise in Q4 2014 although this is mitigated somewhat by slower economic growth in China caused by high levels of debt and serviceability. Elsewhere in Asia demand from Japan for natural gas products looks set to fall with the planned restart of some of the country’s nuclear power stations which have remained dormant since the Fukushima accident of 2010, with the result that additional supplies of LNG will become available on the global market.
What do you recommend for energy buyers looking to secure their gas and electricity contracts? Due to the recent falls in energy contracts current energy prices represent good value for money for customers looking to take advantage of long term energy deals as recent wholesale price movements indicate an upward trend from a 6 year low through the increased economic growth prospects in Europe and North America. This is coupled with the potential for price spikes driven by geopolitical conflict in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and the possible for additional green levies to be passed on to end consumers following the UK General Election in May.
What about the impact of green subsidies on UK energy bills? While the direction of the wholesale markets is highly significant, the fact is that the wholesale price makes up less than half of the total bill charged to the end consumer of gas and electricity in the UK. Operating costs and margin will vary between each of the different supply companies, but an increasing aspect of all energy bills is the pass through cost of the various subsidies and green levies placed on energy bills to encourage the use of renewable forms of energy as well as supporting social protection schemes. For example the rate of carbon tax imposed on generators will nearly double from April 2015 and there are further increases planned for the Climate Change Levy imposed on
By locking into long term fixed deals using a dedicated energy broker, customers can secure the lowest possible energy prices against these medium term threats, as well as protecting themselves from exposure to roll over or out of contract rates at the end of the current deals from their current supplier. The Great Redeemer Redemption has grown hugely in amusement arcades in the UK in the last 10 years. It requires a different approach to regular amusement machine operation and as a result, some holiday parks have been reluctant to make the investment. However, as Steph Norbury discovers, the rewards can make it more than worth it.
Redemption machines and holiday parks are actually the perfect combination. Whereas video games may be suitable for older kids and young adults, redemption will attract the whole family from toddler through to grandparent and has the added bonus of giving something back to the player in the form of tickets that can be exchanged for a prize.

“A holiday park will likely have guests of all ages whereas an average FEC may expect predominantly younger visitors. If the weather turns bad and there’s no where else to go you want a good mix of games to keep all ages engaged all day long, says Matt Bland from The United Distributing Company (UDC).
as well as the best range of prizes to choose. Another such company is Bandai Namco Amusement Ltd, whose prize division can supply everything from sweets costing a few pence to licensed plush from the latest blockbuster movies such as Home and Sean the Sheep and even reasonably priced but highly desirable electronics.
UDC Ticket Station
“Holiday parks need to appeal to their visitors 24hrs a day. They need to have a bit of everything to appeal to a range of different types of people, to keep them on site throughout the day and evening. This is their holiday, they've spent all year saving up for it, so it has got to be an extra special experience in every way. It is a fine balance,” says Ian Eason of Instance Automatics. “Redemption has grown massively over the past year and it is ideal for holiday parks in that winnings in the form of points or tickets are then used at the redemption counter instead of being taken off the site,” he adds.
The company’s Darrell Simmonds advises, “Make sure you have a wide range of prizes to encourage repeat visits throughout the holiday. This should include a variety of lowend confectionary so that little ones who only play a couple of machines with their parents get to walk away with a treat.” The end result is not only happy holidaymakers but also good revenues for the park itself. Darrell has seen more redemption machines in holiday parks than fruit machines in recent years. Another time and stress saver for holiday parks operating redemption machines, is a management system that not only automatically counts the tickets via ‘ticket eating’ machines but can also manage the stock of prizes and be linked into card loyalty systems which can even do away with the need for holiday parks to deal with cash in their arcades.
Leading supplier Electrocoin has recently supplied two ticket eating and point of sale systems into holiday parks. The company’s Kevin Weir explains, “They couldn’t cope with the volume of business and needed the best, fastest, quickest most reliable ticket eaters and also the POS terminals to be able to serve customers quickly and more effectively (therefore more profitably) because customers don’t like to stand in long queues on their last day to redeem their tickets!” Redemption games themselves come in all shapes and prizes but tend to involve the player having to complete a seemingly simple task in order to win as many tickets as possible. Of course, it is never quite as easy as it appears to hit the jackpot – either by hitting, stomping, stopping the light or spinning the wheel but thanks to the fun that is to be had and the tickets that everyone walks away with, everyone is happy to have another go! Pushers, the mainstay of the seaside arcade, are also now a valuable part of the redemption mix. “As of today, our best performing machines are our new innovative pushers on ticket payout such as the loveable
Down the Clown from Sega
As a result, a successful redemption operation within an arcade or a holiday park is dependent also on the quality of the prizes themselves, which must be displayed in a way that is enticing – if the operator wants to maximise returns. As Justin Burke, General Manager/Sales at Sega Amusements Europe points out, “A redemption counter must be treated like a retail opportunity in order to entice the player. More holiday parks are realizing that offering redemption can increase the dwell time. It offers family fun and this increases loyalty for customers. Some of the smaller parks are now seeing that redemption is worth the investment, in both time and labour,” he adds. If this sounds like hard work, fear not, as many of the leading suppliers of redemption games, such as Sega, also supply prizes and have the expertise to be able to suggest the best mix of machines

e Continued Minions pusher and the Jurassic Park pushers,” says Chris Clifton of Harry Levy Amusements, which also supplies other types of redemption machines. “It is very important to have a good mix of machine types to keep the players interested,” says John Brennan from Bandai Namco. Their current range includes electro mechanical machines such as Sink the Ship from Namco. In this game, players use a joystick to control a helicopter, which drops balls onto the ships in the playfield. However, the company also distributes some high tech games from partner companies such as Jennison Games whose latest model Ocean Pearl, uses black screen technology to great effect in innovative, fast gameplay. Also from
Candy Crush from Bandai Namco Amusement Ltd
Jennison is a whacker game called Citrus Fruits that actually dispenses the aroma of oranges, limes and lemons when hit! Another trend in the redemption sphere is games based on leading phone and iPad apps. Bandai Namco distributes Candy Crush – which is known the world over, as one of the most addictive mobile games. Meanwhile, Sega Amusements has two other incredibly popular games in redemption format Plants vs Zombies, and Doodle Jump (the company also has the licensed plush characters to accompany these games, which make for a great themed redemption area). Harry Levy Amusements is seeing great success with Flappy Birds “It has grabbed players by storm and is massively exceeding our expectations, whether it be because of the mass popularity of the game already, or the simple but addictive gameplay, this game is dominating sites everywhere,” says Chris Clifton. If you are starting from scratch with your redemption mix then rather than invest in 100% brand new games UDC recommends that you select a good mix of high quality refurbished games along with the ‘must have’ new games to provide variety and an improved return on investment. “In our opinion redemption is the only sector actively growing. As long as the park is large enough to be able to operate a number of different machines and accommodate a prize shop there is no reason not to embrace redemption games,” concludes the company’s Matt Bland. For holiday parks looking for effective woodland management, help is at hand from Orange Plant and their range of Carlton Stump grinders.
Stump Grinding Recently, the range has proved invaluable to Moortown Golf Club in Leeds which has a course surrounded by woodland that has seen an ingress of tree growth over those 100 years. In order to re-promote the heather and the heathland grass areas of the course a programme of tree removal is in progress, scheduled to last for at least the next three years. Good woodland management is essential for any Golf Course as trees encroaching beyond the wooded areas change the characteristics

of the soil. In addition, the falling leaves add to the detriment of what you are trying to promote. Kevin Fox, Deputy Course Manager, and his team have slowly been reducing the woodland around the course using Carlton stump grinders. “People have asked me,” says Kevin, “why we don’t just dig the stumps out of the ground after felling the trees. Obviously once you get through the initial visible stump, there is still a lot more going on underneath that has to come out – sometimes over 5 to 6
times the dimensions of the tree! It would take a lot of work to get this out and not only cause a great disturbance to the site, but also leave a load of material to remove.” Over his 28 years at Moortown Kevin has had experience with other brands of stump grinders and says “they’re all very hard work”, however since coming across the Carlton range that’s changed. “With their hydraulic systems and remote control,” he says, “they make the job much easier and quicker. I regularly hire the SP7015TRX model but have also had the SP5014TRX. The benefits of these self-propelled tracked units is that you can literally take them just about anywhere. There is some pretty uneven ground on the course, unstable terrain, but with the tracks you can take them anywhere. Whilst I regularly hire the larger 7015 model, the 5014 is still man enough.”

Quarterly order values for the UK play market grew by twenty per cent in the first quarter of 2015, according to the play industries’ lead trade body, the Association of Play Industries (API). Latest figures from API member companies show order values worth £46.2 million for the first quarter of 2015 – a 6.7 per cent increase on the same quarter last year (£43.3 million) and a 20 per cent increase on the last quarter of 2014 (£38.3 million). Export order values were £1.6 million in Q1 2015, a 38.5 per cent increase on the same quarter last year (£1.1 million). The installation of new outdoor facilities for hundreds of schools with no suitable space for sport and PE played a key role in this upswing, funded by Sport England’s Primary Spaces initiative. However budgets for public play provision remain constrained.
Finding Space to Play
Despite evidence of the wide-ranging developmental, physical, behavioural, social and economic benefits of active play, the play industries continue to report constrained public sector budgets and a lack of political will to tackle rising physical inactivity levels amongst children and young people. API Chair Michael Hoenigmann says: “Sport England’s Primary Spaces funding will undoubtedly make a difference to children’s access to school sport and PE but the number of schools affected is marginal. Our wider concern is the lack of recognition of the vital role of children’s play in education, health and local government policy. The API’s four asks to politicians campaigning in the General Election (#APIasks4play) would result in direct improvements to children’s health and well-being. In too many local authorities,
children’s play facilities are purchased like staples or paper clips, without the involvement of child development experts or measurable outcomes for the communities they serve. That is a national scandal.” The API’s four asks for play are: 1 Well-designed public play facilities, particularly in deprived communities 2 Removal of play from local authority procurement processes 3 Extension of the scope and scale of Sport England’s Primary Spaces funding programme 4 A measurable outcome for physical literacy in schools, assessed by Ofsted The API is the lead trade body within the UK play sector and campaigns at the highest levels for policy recognition for the value of play.

10 reasons why you MUST
visit the first ever Glamping Show
In 2014, illuminating surveys were carried out by Visit England and Barclays Bank revealing that UK ‘staycations’ and short breaks are on the increase, with annual expenditure from domestic tourists projected to grow by 25% to over 1.8 billion by 2017.

contemporary, stylish and desirable as well as taking the environment into consideration”. One of the Glamping Show’s exhibitors, Mark Burton has been shortlisted as a finalist for The Shed of The Year with his Pixie Cabin. He appeared on the BBC recently and mentioned the show!
Glamping has become the fastest growing holiday sector worldwide, with a huge ongoing potential, particularly in the UK. Glamping Show supporter, Kate Morel of Quality Unearthed, said, “Glamping is perfectly poised to fill this growing need in the UK where people are looking for quirky holidays that don’t require them to start and end their holiday at an airport.”
2
Morel went on to say: “A check of today’s internet search analytics showed me that in any one month in the UK there are on average 1 million Glamping related keyword searches. This has been increasing year on year and is still gaining momentum.”
Cool Camping will be unveiling a new booking system at this year’s Show. The Cool Camping team has spent years searching the UK for the very best camping and glamping sites in England, Scotland and Wales plus they now also have a growing list in Europe. At Cool Camping you can discover the team’s mostloved campsites that favour the characterful rather than the commercial. It was one of the first companies to promote Glamping in the UK and Europe

11 ways to ensure your glamping business So what exactly do you need for a new camping and glamping business idea to work? There’s no doubt that for any business you need passion and determination, but you also need to learn new skills and have a very firm grasp of what the camping community and your specific consumer want and need, then make this the core of your work. Then you need to think differently, be unique and go that extra mile. The following are key factors to think through in the development stage to help bring quick success to your business:
1 2
Make sure your idea solves a problem or addresses a need or desire.
Provide something worth talking about so customers talk about it, which brings publicity benefits. Draw on your own experiences and desires, and those of your friends and family, to polish your service.
3
Make sure what you offer is a little bit unique and different from your competitors, even if that means experimenting with something new.

Perfect timing
- crucial isn't it?
I've followed the worldwide and UK Glamping market keenly for some years and been fortunate to work directly within the industry for the last 4. During this time things have definitely notched up a few gears! So much so that Glamping is now the fastest growing holiday sector worldwide, with huge potential, particularly in the UK.
Unique Miniature Holiday Homes for Luxury Glamping plus Wooden Gazebos and Wood Fired Hot Tubs
In 2014, surveys by Visit England and Barclays Bank revealed that UK 'staycations' and short breaks are on the increase, with annual expenditure from domestic tourists projected to grow by 25% to over 1.8 billion by 2017. Along with a growing interest in quirky holidays here in the UK, Glamping is perfectly poised to fulfil a growing need. I say 'need' rather than trend because I don't believe it is a trend, Glamping is a unique experience that reconnects us with the natural environment, and each other. It's much needed, and it's here to stay. A check of today's internet search analytics showed me that in the UK there are on average around 1 million Glamping related keyword searches - per month. This has been increasing year on year and is still gaining momentum. I am not surprised, more of us are looking for things in life that are authentic and unique - how we spend our precious leisure time is no exception.

Over the last few years I've attended various events, conferences and exhibitions, but last year in particular the level of enquiries and interest was impressive. Interest was not only from potential guests, but also land owners considering starting their own glamping sites. However, they all said the same thing - that advice about structures, planning, guest expectations and experience is thin on the ground and not surprisingly so, after all it is a relatively new industry. This why the Glamping Show, an event totally dedicated to this fledgling industry is right on cue. It brings all the right people together in one place with related products, knowledge, expertise and experience just when people need it. There couldn't be a better time to get involved, as far as the Glamping industry goes it is certainly time for us all to 'carpe diem' see you there. On the face of it most of us will think it’s just another extra piece of work we already do for the UK Gov PLC. Taken along with collecting VAT, PAYE and now pensions it’s enough for any employer (SME) to put off what we need to do to the very last minute. Or it could be an added benefit to both your business and those key employees or those you wish to recruit in the future. Saving or collecting assets for some future event or calamity has been a concept as well as a structure that a lot of societies and their business communities have subscribed to particularly since coinage and promissory notes were accepted/invented. So we could say this latest scheme regulated by HM government is just another extension to these ideas. There are voluntary schemes around such as “Credit Unions” and the original concept of building societies all worked along with employers encouraging their workers to save in one form or another. Now let’s look at where most of the SMEs are in relation to the workplace schemes Workplace pension law now makes it compulsory for all employers to have arranged and offer their workforce a saving scheme aimed at the retirement of each and every qualifying worker in the UK. This is backed up by an independent regulator who have powers sufficient enough to close down a non-compliant business who fail to provide a scheme. Wessex returns to National Park & Holiday Homes Show Wessex was delighted to exhibit the Cranborne park home at The National Park & Holiday Homes Show in Newbury this month. With it’s own unique, understated and sophisticated style the Cranborne is a beautiful, traditional home with contemporary overtones that work together to create a really special living environment. The 52’ x 20’ model displayed, featured bold new external features and a strong, perfectly balanced presence. Dormers over deep box bay windows frame an elegant composite door with beautiful stone effect windows to either side. A recessed entrance then leads into a welcoming lobby area. The spacious, ‘L’ shaped living space incorporates a lounge and dining area in warm, natural tones of stone and oyster. Also in this model (although not included in all
floor plans), is a fully fitted study, providing a perfect tranquil space to concentrate.
The soft natural colour pallet carries through into the bedrooms creating a wonderful light and tranquil feel. And the luxury doesn’t stop there, the bathroom and en-suite are both fully tiled and the en-suite has a large, walkin rain drench shower - pure indulgence! If you’re looking for the perfect blend of traditional with a contemporary twist, then the Cranborne is sure to be the home for you.
In contrast to the rest of the home, a contemporary, white, high gloss kitchen with fully tiled Porcelanosa floor and polished Quartz work surface provides high style and convenience. The thoughtfully laid out kitchen includes integrated Bosch appliances, an American fridge-freezer, an undermounted sink, a practical utility area and there’s even a USB charger.

MAGRINI – HIGH CHAIRS
The Breeze high chair is the latest addition to the range of commercial childcare products. This stylish, light-weight chair combines classic good looks with the durability of HDPE material. The high chairs stack up to eight high for easy storage and the front-load stacking design eliminates the need for up and over lifting. The Breeze high chair pushes up to the table to enable your smallest guests to join the meal as well as conserving valuable aisle space. At Magrini safety is our main concern and the Breeze features a permanent T-bar for intrinsic safety as well as an adjustable, instant-release buckle. The chair is designed and manufactured in the U.K. and is available in a choice of colours.
