Hunting
In Palm Beach County there are a variety of hunting opportunities encompassing a wide range of game including deer, hog, turkey, duck, dove and other migratory bird/small game species.
A valid hunting license is required of anyone taking or attempting to take game or fur-bearing animals. Inviting area water temperatures range from 78 to 86 degrees in the summer and slightly drop between 70 to 78 in the winter. In addition, the Gulf Stream provides a steady, northbound current, making drift diving a standard in the area—no need to swim back to the boat. The current allows the SCUBA diver additional bottom time as swimming is minimized, which provides greater opportunities to see the amazing fish life, sea turtles and other fascinating creatures of the deep. When you surface, the boat picks you up. Most dives in the area are guided with flexibility to accommodate different experience levels, with more than 20 U.S. Coast Guard-certified dive boats operating daily out of the Palm Beaches.
More than 45 miles of reef lined with up to 20 feet of relief provide many crevices and ledges for exploration. Palm Beach County’s Artificial Reef Program has built more than 120 reef projects, including more than 30 wrecks in the area. For snorkelers, depths range from nearly intertidal out to 30 feet of water. Recreational diving opportunities begin at 20 feet out to 130 feet of water depths with technical diving
