Lisa Stella Opportunity Early Childhood Education and Family Center
Lisa Stella worked in corporate America for more than 20 years as a business development, sales, marketing, and project management professional. Lisa was compelled to give back and follow her passion for resonating positive change in the community. That led her to Opportunity Early Childhood Education and Family Center. Opportunity is Palm Beach’s oldest children’s charity, founded by the compassionate and visionary women from the Women’s Guild of the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach. Starting in the early 1930s many dedicated volunteers generously invested their time in Opportunity to make a difference in the community and make life better for the less fortunate. Opportunity’s slogan was, and is, “Help others to help themselves.“ Lisa joined this crusade as Development Director in February 2020 to spearhead Opportunity’s future and to obtain the funding needed to operate in perpetuity. The mission is to break the cycle of poverty, neglect, and illiteracy by providing high-quality early childhood care and education to children of low-income families, single working parents, and families in crisis and need. Supporting this mission includes a holistic program with family development services. Lisa is a New York City transplant with an MBA and BS in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
