Thanks to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, marine life abounds off the coast of the Palm Beaches. Five species of turtles, moray eels, large goliath groupers reaching up to 600 pounds and other spectacular arrays of tropical fish will delight big and little explorers.

An underwater snorkeling trail, internationally recognized by scientists, scuba divers, underwater photographers and snorkelers for its abundance of unique marine life spans a two-acre area in 6 to 10 feet of water. Squid, octopus, spotted rays and starfish are regularly seen.
Kayaks, paddleboards and snorkeling gear may be rented at the park. Guided snorkeling tours and paddleboard lessons are also available. For information, call (561) 839-5130. Little Deeper Charters offers dive trips at variable depths departing from Phil Foster Park on most days.
Tennis
Local Tennis Courts
Those more inclined to step onto the court than into the water will be eager to explore Palm Beach County’s more than 1,100 tennis courts, many illuminated for night play. Public and private facilities are located throughout the county offering clinics and lessons suited for every age and skill level. Public tennis courts are available at no charge on a first-come, first-serve basis.
