Palm Beach Health Network, parent company of the hospital, has moved ahead with a multimillion-dollar capital expansion to focus on patient care. It includes state-of-the-art technology in its cardiac catheterization lab; an upgrade to its interventional radiology suite; the addition of the CORI robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery and Hana Table for anterior approach hip replacement surgery, both in its orthopedics department; the adoption of the OArm Stealth Station for spinal surger- ies; operating room renovations in its general surgery rooms; and new equipment in its urology department.

Medical Center has begun use of the ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Cardiac Surgery) system for patients undergoing heart procedures. ERAS is a dedicated clinical and perioperative surgical pathway to streamline goals of care and ensure a safer, more efficient and comfortable recovery for the patient. The announcement of this technological upgrade came on the heels of the hospital’s landmark 19,000th open-heart surgery.
