With 37 years in the Palm Beach market, David C. Aiken’s role as Commercial Development Director is to connect the dots between CEMEX’s resources and market opportunities. CEMEX is a leading heavy building materials supplier focusing on cement, aggregate, block and ready-mix. Internationally, the company employs 45,000 people in 50 countries with annual sales of approximately $13 billion. Locally in Florida, CEMEX employs approximately 2,700 individuals responsible for $1.7 billion in sales.
Sarah Alsofrom GL HOMES
A Florida native, Senior Director of Community Relations Sarah Alsofrom manages the philanthropic arm for GL Homes, which was founded in 1976. GL Homes, Florida’s largest private homebuilder, made history when the company received the ATHENA Award in the Organizational Leadership category in 2022 from the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. Through Sarah Alsofrom, who received the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award (2010) and the ATHENA Leadership Award (2019), GL Homes is the first company in ATHENA International’s history to have a connection to all three awards.
Sarah is a past president of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and past chair of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.
Kate Arrizza
Cox Science Center and Aquarium
Kate Arrizza is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cox Science Center and Aquarium. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy, she served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy for seven years. She served overseas on the USS Carr, USS Fort McHenry and USS Tortuga; her specialty was education and training in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon receiving her honorable discharge from the Navy, she obtained her Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University. Kate’s work at the Science Center over the past 13 years has earned her such recognition and awards as South Florida Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” award, Sun Sentinel’s Top Workplace Professional Award, Women of Worth Award winner, ESPN’s veteran of the month, and PBC Distinguished Alumni Award. Kate also received West Palm Beach’s Hometown Hero Award on July 4th, 2022. This award recognizes the selfless efforts of community leaders and organizations for their boundless energy and devotion to the residents of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, and the nation. Kate is a board member of Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, International Women’s Forum, Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Dreher Park Neighborhood Association, and United States Naval Academy Blue and Gold Officer.
Andrew Ashby M&T Bank
Andrew I. Ashby is a career banking professional with extensive experience in New York and South Florida. He is an SVP, Senior Relationship Manager with M&T Bank, responsible for growing and managing corporate banking relationships with revenues greater than $10 million. Ashby is an active community member serving as Treasurer, head of Strategic and Finance Committee, and Board Chair for the Urban League of Palm Beach County. He has also served as the Small Business Committee Chair of the MiamiDade Beacon Council, and an active Board Member of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce. Ashby currently serves as a Trustee of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Business Management from Northwood University and an MBA from the University of Miami Herbert Business School. He currently resides in Boynton Beach with his wife, Christina, and two sons, Dominick and Isaiah.
