Janice R. Brunson Valley

Janice Brunson is a Vice President and Commercial Lender with Valley Bank, a financial institution with more than 91 years of experience. Valley Bank has 41 branches in Florida with the regional headquarters located in West Palm Beach. She works closely with business owners to provide cash flow solutions including commercial lending, treasury management and deposit products. Her additional responsibilities include bringing in new business, customizing services for new and existing clients, and representing Valley through civic involvement and community events. A Florida native, Brunson has worked in the commercial banking industry in Palm Beach County for more than 20 years. She is a member of CREW/Treasure Coast and volunteers her time to the ARC of Palm Beach County. Brunson is a member of Leadership Palm Beach County’s Class of 2017.

Brandon Cabrera The BrandX Company

Brandon Cabrera is the owner and President/CEO of The BrandX Company, a private multidimensional real estate development firm with projects from single-family homes to multifamily rental apartment complexes. The BrandX Company also provides urban design services, and consulting services for potential developments. Mr. Cabrera was born and raised in West Palm Beach, and at the age of 18 invested in his first property. Today he has a diverse portfolio of properties around Palm Beach County, along with holding a contractors license and real estate license. Mr. Cabrera continues to look to improve the county with affordable quality homes and rental apartments. Today Mr. Cabrera has two apartment complexes in the process for approval. One is located just south of Lantana Road off Congress Avenue, where he his proposing a 34-unit rental complex with a modern villa-style design. Working with Palm Beach County, he will include workforce housing units that have the same quality finishes as every unit in the complex. It is Mr. Cabrera’s belief that many developers that provide workforce housing often give those designated units a lower grade of finishes compared to the other units. Mr. Cabrera and The BrandX Company can’t wait to unveil the project to the community as the most dependable brand for rental apartments in Palm Beach County.

Matthew Chait Shutts & Bowen LLP

A West Palm Beach native, Matt Chait is the managing partner of the West Palm Beach office of statewide law firm Shutts & Bowen LLP. Matt focuses his practice on commercial real estate litigation, creditors’ rights litigation, and general business litigation in cases throughout Florida. Recognizing the importance of charitable and civic work, Matt serves on the boards of directors of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches and Resource Depot, and is a member of the American Heart Association’s Executives with Heart. He is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County. He earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Joseph P. Chase Gunster

A South Florida native, Joe Chase is a shareholder and business and corporate attorney with the Gunster law firm. In addition to assisting clients with their day-to-day business law needs, Chase has handled numerous complex business transactions. He has represented private companies, private equity firms and venture capital firms in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, debt and equity restructurings, executive compensation and incentive equity matters, as well as general corporate matters. He is a past chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. He serves on the boards of directors of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. He is also a West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority board member. Chase worked previously for Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago.
