Summer Stuff @ DCF
”Loving God Loving People Loving Life” Again, another fantastic month at DCF. Congratulations to Jenny & Wyne who are now Mr & Mrs; also to Faith Hands on her dedication to the Lord. Well done those who ran the Family Service on Father’s Day. It was amazing. For those who found out it was also my birthday, I am still younger than Lizzie. Thanks for all the messages and the three cheesecakes. How did you know I love cheesecake? Lizzie and I had our first wee break together since coming to DCF. We went to the Lake District and realized how much we took it's beauty for granted, because we were so busy getting on with life. I think we are all in danger of taking God for granted. Every day of our life is filled with blessings and we often miss them because we are so busy getting on with life. I shared recently on Grumbling and Gratitude. Lets choose to be thankful for the millions of things our fantastic, brilliant God has done for us and put into our lives. Well, it’s almost summer holiday season. If you are going away, enjoy yourself. God’s given you this life so love it. If you not going away this summer, enjoy yourself. God’s given you this life so love it.
Indeep Tue 19th July @1pm & repeated Wed 20th @7:30pm We are coming to the final study on "what will heaven be like?" This is when we will answer some of the important questions like, “will I have a body to die for in heaven? Will there be cheese cake and beef burgers in heaven? Will I retire from work in heaven? Will some people still get on my nerves? Will my dog Buster be in heaven? Will there be football in Heaven?” “A Walkin, Chips Evening” Tue July 26th Fancy a walk up Kinver followed by some smelly chips? There are two walksan easy one and a hard one, but definitely chips at the end of both.
“Pizza & Praise” Tue Aug 9th @7:30pm If you would like to play what you play with the worship team or have a go at singing, this is the night. We’ll spend some time praising God and then have loads of Pizza.

“A Quiz and Cheesecake Competition” Tue Aug 16th @7:30pm Enter your cheesecake in DCF’s first ever Cheesecake competition. Keith will also coordinate one of his amazing quiz’s. The official judges for the cheesecake competition will be Pastor Joe Hayes, Rev Joe Hayes and Joseph Hayes. “Work Work Work Party” Tue Aug 23rd Loads of general jobs need to be done to keep on top of the buildings maintenance and this is the night to do it. There will be loads of tea, coffee and biscuits.
Ministry To The Elderly The New Friendship Club for the elderly is every Wednesday at DCF, when residents from a number of old people's homes will come for the afternoon. What a tremendous opportunity to minister to these precious lives. If you would like more information please have a chat with Keith who leads the team. ME & MY BIG MOUTH This teaching continues in July. I am sure most of us have said, “Me and my big mouth!” at some point in life. A “Potato and Portrait” night. Tue Aug 30th @7:00pm Come and have your picture taken and printed by Emma. While you wait we’ll fill a spud with something for you to enjoy. Family portraits, you and your friends, or just you with a potato- all can have their picture taken.

Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said, 'Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whiskey!' Miraculously, a parking place appeared. Paddy looked up again and said, 'Never mind, I found one.'
DCF Centre Work will begin on 18th July in the centre. We plan to renovate and redecorate the lower floor and to upgrade the appearance of the outside. The end result is going to be an excellent facility to be used for the work of the Lord.

DCF Counselling Centre Later in the year we plan to develop the ministry of Dudley Counselling Centre by providing a Christian Counselling Service, which of course has taken place in the past at DCF. A Christian Counselling Service simply means Christians counselling Christians. We plan to provide some basic training in counselling skills in September for those interested in the ministry of counselling.
Some days in the office are really good. Please note “no cheese cake.”
