Back in 2009, for Theory of Architecture class, I was assigned to report on the life and works of Arch. Carlos Arguelles.
At that time, the practice CD Arguelles is in transition due to his passing (Ar. Arguelles passed away 2008).
Mr. Douglas Ramsey (son-in-law of Ar. Arguelles) was managing the transition and was uncertain should the practice continue. He only has one Architect staff.
Fortunately, I was able to schedule an interview with Mr. Ramsey, visit the office at Magallanes, Makati; and received a copy of Representative works.
A collection of modernism and international style works, here you will find some of the buildings that stood the test of time and has influenced our daily lives.
Fun Trivia: In the office, there was a beautiful, framed hand-drawn perspective of the former Holiday Inn (also formerly Trader's Hotel, now HOTEL Jen by Shang); and signing the drawing is Ar. Meloy Casas :)
