We decided that with our new bar, we needed to update the style and feel of our brochure. So we’ve been hard at work playing around with layouts, colours and images to bring you this brand new brochure to match our brand spanking new venue. We hope you like it as much as we do. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and as we head into the festive time of year we’ve got some great slices of cinema to dish out over the coming weeks. Some highlights include Joaquin Phoenix in the award-winning drama Joker, Chris Morris (of Brass Eye fame) arrives with outrageous comedy The Day Shall Come, Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne take to the skies in the pulse-racing The Aeronauts and we go galactic once more with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker from the 27th December.
WAFF (Wirksworth Adventure Film Festival) is back for its 2019 edition and this year it’s bigger than ever. We launch with a screening of the Robert Redford survival thriller All is Lost, accompanied by a live soundtrack, followed by a whole host of films that cover long distance running, cycling, climbing and much much more – so get booking now. Explorer, our season of subtitled and world cinema, also continues this month with three screenings, supported by the BFI (British Film Institute). Find Us Wirksworth is tucked away in the Derbyshire Dales, a bit off the beaten track - but that’s the way we like it. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON NORTH END There is parking on Harrison Drive, at the railway station during the day and on the Market Place, Barmote Court (off Coldwell Street) and Wood Street car parks.
WIRKSWORTH Good Neighbours North End is our favourite street in town. We live here, we work here, we tend to drink here too. That’s why we ask all our customers to help us minimise any disturbance on the street and help us be good neighbours. So if you arrive by car, we ask you not to park on North End itself, as lots of our neighbours rely on on-street parking. There’s plenty of parking elsewhere in town. If you smoke, we ask you to do so away from the cinema but also away
Access from residential houses – there’s a handy bench across the road at the top of Greenway Croft. Finally, when you leave, please do so quietly as some of our neighbours are elderly and others have young children, who may have retired to bed by the time you leave.
Please let the Box Office know when booking tickets, should you need to reserve a wheelchair-user space. We have a hearing loop installed in the auditorium and are fully wheelchair accessible.
