ith all the division in 21st Century America, it is hard to know where to start to understand our country’s condition and why it is so desperately divided.

The place to start, I suppose, is at the beginning, where we are told, “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God”.

Do you believe that? Many are called to believe, but few are worthy of being chosen. The rest deny the God that created them.

The United States is unique in that it is a country built on the Bible. And it is the last place on earth where its values allow individual freedom and liberty to exist. And consider that America represents only 5% of the world population.

Data tells us approximately 80% of people in America claim to be Christians, but that number has been rapidly on the decline over the past few decades. They say they believe in the God of the Bible as their creator. Yet today, we see a movement away from faith in God and trending to Godless Socialism / Communism. A growing number of our people are receptive to a new world order and a one-world government without God. Why? I suggest it is a lack of education about history coupled with “Me Generation Baby Boomer” parents too busy with gathering things of the world, money, sports binging, and all the rest. That led to a dereliction of duty to be engaged in our children’s education. That allowed the ruling elite to redefine right and wrong. They intend to rule the whole world with their Godless morality, and it had to start

with the indoctrination of the youth.

In my short lifetime, I was blessed to live in a world where faith was at the

A Time for Patience & Persistence

ow is a time for patience, persistence, and not violence.

Lashing out with anger and violence toward those we believe have wronged us and unfairly attacked President Donald Trump will not benefit our Liberty, President Trump, or the future of our nation.

The Biden Administration and many on the Left are obsessed with their newly acquired power, which they promise to use against their opponents. AOC and other Democrats are suggesting that Trump supporters are “White Supremacists” and need to be “deprogrammed” [“brainwashed”], put in reeducation camps, and even executed. President Trump and his supports are being banned

by Social Media, preventing them from communicating and defending themselves. This is further dividing our country and making any level of unity impossible.

President Trump’s supporters have never been violent at any of the 40 major rallies for President Trump, but 30,000 military personnel were placed in Washington along with massive military presences in each of our state capitols as a show of force against Trump supporters. In addition, Democrats are calling for a massive future secret police force to confront the perceived enemies of the Democrats.

We must not give the Biden Administration any excuses to further limit our freedom to speak and communicate. We must not give them any excuses to confiscate our arms and otherwise restrict our abilities to defend ourselves. We need Conservative leaders like Winston Churchill and Martin Luther King Jr. to rise up to lead, defend, reassure, and calm the raging waters.

We need national leaders like Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick,

Texas Senator Ted Cruz, and others to defend the American people and our Constitution, speak out and assume strong national leadership roles. We need to follow their leadership and directions as we proceed into a very dangerous and disturbing time. We need to support these strong leaders as they stand to protect the American people from the tyranny the Biden Administration and the Liberal News Media are promising.

We must encourage and support our elected Conservative leaders in the United States Congress and our state legislatures. Our state governors, lieutenant governors, and our state and federal courts must vigorously defend us against the Marxist tyranny the Biden Administration is planning to impose on our nation.

They are our first line of defense against the Biden Administration, illegal aliens, other criminals, racial and religious discrimination attacks, and gun confiscation.

Our Founding Fathers wisely protected our nation and the American people with Article V of our Constitution as a defense against the need for armed conflict. If tyrants

take over our federal government, our states can quickly call together a Convention of the States to take back and restore our federal government.

The Convention members can write Amendments to our United States Constitution to ensure our Liberty and the stability of a just federal government intended to protect us.

We must all start working and donating now to ensure that both the

United States House and Senate, and increasing numbers of state and local governments, are solidly in Conservative Republican hands following the 2022 General Election. Democrats need to join with us, as they too will be experiencing the disastrous consequences of the Biden Administration and will start to experience buyer’s remorse within a few months. Taxes, energy, food, and all necessities will skyrocket in price while massive numbers of jobs disappear.

Our final line of defense is the fact the American people are armed. Our Second Amendment protects our God-given ability to defend our families, others, and ourselves. Job’s Lament

a k i ng to the news I’ve predicted all along that the hopelessly corrupted election machine that stole Georgia for Biden has successfully stolen two Senate seats as well, I perceived the dawn of a day I’ve anticipated for at least sixty years. The veneer of constitutionally limited government is about to fall off the last best hope for human freedom. Since the feckless elected Republican posers have finished pretending to tilt at windmills and the best Congress money can buy has ratified Placeholder Joe as the winner of the most corrupt election in American History, we shall all witness the emergence of a one-party state, with rigged elections, and a soviet-style injustice system.

Here are some things to look for in the Brave New World of the Great Reset as our self-anointed leaders work to implement their motto of Build Back Better; which by some bizarre coincidence is the motto of the World Economic Forum for the re-invented New World Order and also the motto for the Biden - Harris economic recovery plan.

In the future, as we follow in the time-honored footsteps of Chicago, where the Democrats haven’t lost an election in 89 years, perhaps we should dispense with the expense of having sham elections and just have a Democrat primary. Although we know the Democrat primaries are also rigged, at least we would only have to pay for one fake election instead of two.

L ook for a nation-w ide mask mandate to have a visible sign of compliance.

Look for COVID vaccination documents to become mandatory for many things such as work, travel, shopping. … SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS! Look for a nation-wide economic shutdown at least until China is solidified as the number one economy in the world.

Look for the institutionalization and nationalization of the mail-invoter scam.

Look for a road to citizenship for all illegal aliens.

Look for open borders that tie to benefits for all and result in mass migration bringing tens of millions of people rushing over what used to be a southern border.

Look for a return of the Forever Wars to gin up jingoistic patriotism and enrich the military-industrial complex.

Look for the dollar to lose its status as the world’s reserve currency.

Look for any alternative media that contradicts the one-sided megaphone of the Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media to be harassed out of business or surrender to the Democrat Socialist Party’s narrative.

Look for the police and National Guard to be used to suppress any

signs of protest to the imposition of socialism in America.

Look for the Commander-in-Thief to serve maybe a day over two years before Kamala takes over. That way, she can pretend to win two full terms without going to the trouble of re-writing the Constitution in the living-document sand.

And to make sure this is all rammed down our throats peacefully, look for an effective end to the Second Amendment and gun confiscation.

Job once lamented, “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me.” Today, after a half-century of predicting and writing about the socialist takeover of America, I stand sorrowfully vindicated with those words echoing in my mind. And when my mind tells me to despair, my spirit replies as Job did to his wife when she told him to “curse God and die,” “Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” For my hope is in the Lord. Jesus is my salvation, and no government, no matter how corrupt, authoritarian, and powerful, can take that away from me.

This brings me to my favorite “Look” in this article.

Look for the greatest Awakening the nation has ever seen for, as the Lord told us thousands of years ago through the prophet Isaiah, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the

Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”

Let us accept that America has passed under judgement. And with the innocent blood of millions of aborted children crying out from the ground, with good being called evil and evil good, with every perversion and sexual sin held up as the new normal, why shouldn’t we?

Dylan Thomas spoke of a coming darkness, saying, “Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”

However, that may appeal to some people I say replace rage with praise.

Let us Praise God for His love, His guidance, and His salvation. Don’t let the shifting scenes of this earthly soap opera steal your peace. For, in Christ, we have the peace that passes all understanding. And don’t let the news of the day drive you to despair, for when all is said and done, we will see that it was all done just like He said.

Keep the Faith. Keep the peace. We shall overcome.

The Obvious Liberal Bias Against Republicans

peaker Pelosi tears up Trump’s speech on national television.

Liberal rioters burn businesses, including many minority businesses. The same rioters burned a church, burned police patrol cars, attacked police, and even killed one. Yet Pelosi and the Democrats are not blamed.

But when President Trump speaks to his voters and later some attack the Capitol, it is all Trump’s fault.

I watched Trump’s speech and did not hear anything that suggested an attack on the Capitol. The media and bigtech invented Trump suggesting that attack, much like the Russia-Trump HOAX fabrication. They promote that lie so the big-tech media can block/ ban conservative talk. Google, Apple, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other

online media have banned Trump and conservatives, they say, for fear of more attacks on the government; but they said little when rioters attacked Trump’s White House. Those

companies claim to be private business and not subject to government rules, but if they are not communications media, then what? The internet, social media, and email have replaced most

letter writing and phone calls, only now Big Brother is listening in.

The free exchange of ideas must be part of a free society, or we hear only one side, and that is what Democrats have, for now.

Young people need time to mature.

That is why our founders chose 21 as the minimum age to vote when life expectancy was much shorter. It is easier to fool uneducated voters, so lowering the voting age to 18 was their idea, saying, “If they can be drafted, they should vote.” My older brother and I joined the Navy at 17, and we never felt cheated that we could not vote. That is a liberal Democrat lie, to hide their real reason… easier to manipulate voters.

We, the People, have not been in charge of our government for decades, and the proof is now surfacing.

Don’t Let Texas Become Georgia!

he recent election debacle in Georgia in November and January has led to speculation that the same crew specializing in election fraud in Georgia will try to replicate their efforts in Texas.

It is imperative that all states immediately begin electoral reform efforts to prevent voter fraud and manipulation. Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona,

Nevada, and New Mexico are where the greatest need exists. It is incumbent on the Legislatures of those states to undo the harm caused by their partisan Governors, Secretaries of State and state courts. While Texas did not experience the same level of shenanigans that these seven states did, it is still crucial that steps be taken to ensure that the election fraud roadshow does not find success here in Texas.

A perfect storm of situations came together to enable the biggest electoral scandal in American history: 1. The Wuhan Chinese virus created support for “Mail-In Ballots” without signature verification and unprecedented “emergency powers”.

2. The laws of various states do not allow State Legislatures to call themselves into session without the Governors.

3. Weakness on the part of election officials and willingness to bow to special interest pressure.

4. The reluctance of elected officials to challenge the notion that elections are not tampered with or manipulated. Statistical Implausibility is real.

The fervent desire of most Americans to blindly accept election results without proper verification is truly troubling… and it is this very delusion that could turn future

elections into the debacle that was 2020. We cannot allow fear of the virus, identity politics, and political correctness to continue to pollute our electoral process. Unless we act this year, election fraud may become permanent: election rigging, ballot tampering, improper vote tallying, and/or hasty certification of election results.

This writer would urge the new majority on the Lubbock County Commissioner’s Court to re-examine the wisdom of taking local elections away from the County Clerk and other governmental entities and creating a stand-alone Elections

Office, which seems impervious to accessibility, accountability, and transparency. The result is that elections are conducted without independent verification, in which blind trust replaces proper supervision. Dorothy Kennedy, the Elections Office supervisor, has refused on many occasions to allow candidates, including this writer, poll watchers, the media, et al. proper access to the vote-counting process. This lack of transparency is unacceptable.

Voting System of Texas, the specifications for which are enumerated below: TWELVE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE TEXAS LEGISLATURE FOR ELECTION REFORM: 1. Eliminate all electronic voting machines; no more possibilities of hacking, manipulation of data, or computer glitches, return Lubbock County and Texas to the OCVST method of voting and hopefully extend that system to the entire United States.

2. Use HAND COUNTED PAPER BALLOTS and the scratch blackening method of marking them, and color-coordinated election forms, with Optical Scan machines available for quick reporting of election returns.

3. Bring back the ballot boxes and the ballot stub boxes.

4. Use the old tried and true quadruplicate signature roster, which cannot be altered; ban the use of computer peel-off stickers for signature rosters.

must be directed by state and national leaders, whose directions we need to follow.

We Conservatives are justifiably angry by how the Democrats have unfairly and maliciously treated President Trump and us. “Unity” according to Democrats, means complying with what Democrats declare we must think and do.

Democrat state officials unconstitutionally rewrote the election rules and laws of many states, designing the modified election rules and laws to greatly favor Democrat candidates. State legislatures and courts, including the United States Supreme Court, refused to evaluate and remedy numerous apparent instances of voter fraud in multiple states.

Democrats have brainwashed students and our fellow Americans for decades, convincing them our

system, with neighborhood precincts as polling places, with elected Precinct Chairs serving as Election Judges; end the ill-advised use of super voting centers in grocery stores and other venues.

6.Return to the practice of counting votes at the individual precincts and avoid the pitfalls of centralized election counting centers without observers, transparency, and accountability; use the backroom method of counting votes, with teams of neighborhood citizens counting the votes rather than anonymous people and electronic machines and producing a verifiable count.

7. Use only requested absentee ballots, which could only be voted in person or by mail when requested, and disallow any ballot which is not in the hands of Election Officials by closing time on Election Day. 8.Require proper voter identification at all polling places, and retain the current absentee method of voting, prohibiting any other form of “Mail-In ballots”.

9. Regularly cleanse voter registration

rolls of any ineligible voters, voters who have moved out of state, voters who have died, and voters convicted of felonies.

10. Re-institute the practice of true voting canvasses, in which Precinct Chairs, poll watchers, the media, and any other interested observers may audit election returns and verify the results through cross-checking.

11. Eliminate early voting and all of the problems associated with proper supervision of voting associated with grocery stores and inappropriate voting places.

12. Re-establish Election Day as the primary voting day and counting only votes received by Election Day. Election Day, or perh-aps two days, should be a State Holiday.

Finally, in Lubbock County, put the Lubbock County Elections Office and the conduct of elections back under the office of the County Clerk, an elected position with accountability, and insist on complete transparency.

Democrats defunded the police in Democrat cities and allowed the Marxist mobs to loot, kill, and burn, refusing to stop the highly dangerous Marxist mobs. The mobs visited the homes of governors, mayors, justices, judges, police, and others to intimidate them into complying with the will of their Democrat masters. They prevented President Trump from receiving support from state legislatures and all courts.

Democrats massively militarized the police in Washington and all 50 state capitals in an attempt to create a fictitious fear that Conservatives pose great danger. Democrat masters show us they will not hesitate to use military force to intimidate and control the American people.

We must ask God for strength to endure the days and years to come. We

shall overcome the Evil at the ballot box by serving in government and not yielding to demands that we change how we believe and think.

We must preserve Liberty and our Constitution.

s of this writing, the days are few to the inauguration of a fraudulent. President Trump has exposed every level of government that is corrupted, and now it is time for real justice to be unleashed on the elite cabal that has bought off every level of government and media. If you ever thought the day would not come, it is here.

The false flag operation at the Capitol was the final nail that revealed who the black hats were in Congress.

There is no mercy in Trump since he gave everyone a chance to do the right thing. GITMO has been expanded by a thousand percent in preparation for this day. The sealed indictments from the Durham investigation are being executed. Governments are collapsing, suicides are off the charts, and people are running for cover. Disinformation in the media is rampant as they play their desperate last hand. The blackout of Trump’s information is a clear sign that the Davos crowd is in a panic because the truth will be deadly for them. If you ever think that you have to silence the opposition to get your way, it is because your message is not a winning message. If you think you won an election, why would you not welcome an audit?

The 80 million Trump votes and voters are not going to accept a fraudulent president. The 25K soldiers, barriers, and closed roads in DC are a clear sign that this is what it takes to install a fraud. The Democrats are scared spitless of the American people that they stole the election from. Yes, they stole it just like we predicted. There was no way the Democrats could win a fair election. It took them five days to round up enough illegal votes to overcome the Trump tsunami. They were stunned by the massive defeat and exposed their contempt for America in an

obvious and brazen crime to steal the election. The MSM, judiciary, legislatures, and Governors were exposed as treasonous in willful contempt of the United States Constitution and their own State Constitutions.

Trump exposed it all. Now the declassification of the pedophilia blackmail is being released along with the treasonous actions that have been hidden from us by the Deep State actors.

The FBI is dead, the CIA is laid bare, Barrack, Hillary, Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Clapper, etc., are all done.

Governments are falling, and suicides are happening due to the revelations of pedophilia and sins beyond description. Epstein is alive, and that information has set hair on fire throughout Capitol Hill and well beyond.

The Epstein blackmail operation was international. It is the key that unlocks the Davos billionaire’s global agenda to commit the greatest genocide in history. The vaccine program is an immediate threat to humanity. Don’t take it!!

If you are accused of backing a conspiracy theory, you are bucking

the agenda and not allowed to have a divergent view. You are labeled a conspiracy theorist just like you are labeled a racist if you have a divergent view. Stand up! Express yourself!! The Davos crowd is trying to silence you into submission because the truth is not on their side, and they cannot win if you know what they are really doing… and what they are doing is going to kill you.

The Davos crowd is following precisely the 1930s Nazi plan, but they are using every tool they can to hide that from you. The Jews and other minorities were the targets of genocide under Hitler to finance his dream of world domination. The human dimension does not change, and there will always be sociopaths, but the sophistication of the criminals in this technological, digital world gives them immense power over the uneducated masses or the willfully ignorant, also known as “The Sheep.”

The brainwashed masses do not know they are brainwashed. Still, you can recognize them by their inability to reason or accept reality even when

confronted with visual, facts, audio, or other evidence that contradict their wall of comfort. ince the release of the new COVID vaccine, we are beginning to see some of the ramifications occurring in the public domain.

In a press release dated back on November 16, 2020, Moderna stated, “We just announced that mRNA-1273, our COVID-19 vaccine candidate, has met its primary efficacy endpoint in the first interim analysis of the Phase 3 COVE study.” Moderna says its coronavirus vaccine is 94.5% effective.

This may be good news to some, but according to Bill Gates, everyone in the world needs to have the vaccine for COVID-19 to achieve “safety and security.” Since when is a computer geek in a position to tell the world what is needed to be healthy, safe, and secure?

As of January 16, 202l, The Epoch Times reported that 55 people have died in the U.S. after receiving COVID-19 vaccines, according to reports submitted to a federal system. “Deaths have occurred among people receiving both the Moderna and the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines, according to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS), a federal database.

VAERS reports must be filed (not automatically collected) by anyone, including health care providers, patients, or family members.” It has also been

reported that some patients died within days of being vaccinated. In addition to deaths, people reported 96 life-threatening events following COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as 24 permanent disabilities, 225 hospitalizations, and 1,388 emergency room visits. WOW! Kind of makes you think twice about this whole vaccine frenzy. Let’s see if we can get to the bottom of this very important subject.

Because the recovery rate from this Chinese virus is 99.97%, why do we need a vaccine anyway? Could there be an ulterior motive for this vaccine mania? According to many doctors working on the front line of this COVID fight, they have found medications that have proven to cure/heal folks from this virus. Dr. Stella Immanuel of Texas is one of many doctors who have had enormous success by quickly giving her patients Hydroxychloroquine plus zinc and Azithromycin. Our President (Trump) was given a cocktail of anti-viral medications, including a newly FDA-approved drug called Remdesivir, developed by Gilead, backed by none other than the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Keep that thought… you might be on to something.

An obvious conclusion regarding the push to have EVERYONE in the world vaccinated reveals Pharma’s monetary gain. What you may not know is that President Kennedy signed the Vaccination Assistance Act in 1962 to, in the words of a CDC report, «achieve as quickly as possible the protection of the population, especially of all preschool children… through intensive immunization activity.” Sounds good to me!! But then, in 1986, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) was signed into law as part of a larger health bill. NCVIA’s purpose was to (read slowly now) eliminate vaccine manufacturers’ potential financial liability due to vaccine injury claims to ensure a stable market supply of vaccines and provide cost-effective arbitration for vaccine injury claims.

The NCVIA was created to provide a federal no-fault system for compensating vaccine-related injuries or death by establishing a claim procedure involving the United States Court of Federal Claims. This means that Pharma can make a vaccine quickly and economically without spending months/years doing double-blind placebo testing before injecting the population and with TOTAL profitability and NO liability.

Pharma’s monetary gain will be substantial, but does that also play into Bill Gates’ eugenics goal? He has estimated that up to 700,000 individuals could be negatively affected (meaning death) by the next vaccine.

(He has been one of those globalists who would like to reduce the population.) The requirement of everyone getting immunized could help achieve his goal. One might ask why so many deaths from a vaccine? Could we conclude this to be the reason why the NCVIA was passed in 1986! Not only were children/people dying, but they were having severe health issues

If we were to bypass the vaccine and take responsibility for being a healthy nation, what would that look like? Stanford University researchers recently revealed that staying inside our houses and distancing one another has only weakened our immunity. We need to be exposed to the boogey-man COVID-19 enough to build up resistance to this seemingly vicious virus that has taken the lives of just .0007% of our population. While millions of Americans are longing to get back to work, the “experts” have so frightened us that we gladly submit to their masking/ distancing requirements. I can see why President Trump wanted to give our citizens the hope of being a healthy, free, and prosperous nation once again! Hopefully, we will be given the option of choosing to get a vaccine. Our freedom to do so, or not, could provide us with the optimism to get on with our lives. Sadly, some would like to restrict us! If not immunized, they might restrict us from going to the gym, concerts, church, games, traveling, etc. Sounds controlling to me! Please PRAY that we stay a free Nation!

If you would like to bypass a vaccine, there is a “legal” way to decline. 1) Do not refuse but politely decline their service by doing the following. 2) Ask the doctor if the vaccine has MRC-5 in it (they all do, those are aborted fetal cells and other DNA). If it does, you have the right to decline. 3) Ask if there is a possibility of an “iatrogenic reaction” from the vaccine (they all do).

When the doctor says, ‘Yes”, that’s your “get out of vaccine free card”.

allowed to remain free even if such crimes as murder are committed.

Is the same true of US Citizens who commit crimes? Of course not. Well then, can’t we just march into Mexico and expect the same treatment from the Mexican government? Of course not! And trust me, you don’t want to even attempt it.

Consider the legislation that is always stuffed beyond the bursting point with money for such non-essential programs as the study of transgenders in Pakistan. Billions of dollars can be sent to every country on earth, but we can’t fix our crumbling bridges and roads, feed hungry American children, or provide our US Veterans with a warm bed and food to eat.

Are you kidding me?

No, the Democrats and all on the Left are consumed with anything and everything that diminishes America, the military, and western society as established by our Founders. For the Left, loving America, the free market, and personal freedom, rights, liberties must all give way to their much more fair and enlightened vision of life, which always involves some form of socialism/Marxism/communism and ends in tyrannical imposed compliance resulting in massive starvation and poverty. Just ask the millions upon millions of those who actually survived Nazi Germany, communist dictatorships in China, or Russia, how wonderful life is or was for them in those failed systems.

Quite inexplicably, the Democrats

and Left are giddy at the idea of returning to all of the failed Obama policies and agreements that were so detrimental to the good of America.

The Paris Climate Agreement, the Iran Nuclear agreement, canceling the XL Pipeline are all to be re-engaged under Biden. No regard to American energy independence or posterity matters to the Left as symbolism always trumps substance in every situation, period.

As long as they feel good about themselves, consequences be danged, full speed ahead.

So which country is it exactly that the Left is so in love with? It certainly doesn’t seem to be America, as everything they say or do has adverse results for the American people. Sure, they isolate themselves in the DC bubble.

They sit in ivory towers and insulate from the people who elect them as they go about the business of amassing their personal wealth and attaining the highest levels of power possible.

To them, the American people are little more than ants to be trampled on if not simply ignored completely.

The Left is in no way concerned about the wants or needs of the American people if we are judging them by their actions and not their words. This does not bode well for our future.

aving served in the United States Air Force and then in numerous law enforcement jobs over the years, I was required to take an “Oath of“Office”. How many times have we watched politicians place their hand on the Bible and swear their Oaths of Office? It plays out before our eyes each election cycle as new Congress members and even the President are sworn in to their respective offices. We see the somber tone, and the oath is administered by some respected figure such as a Supreme Court Justice or authority figure.

This is usually regarded as a highly somber occasion, or for those who believe in American idealism, it should.

But one has to wonder if it is not merely a charade intended to present the appearance of seriousness when the one being sworn in actually has their fingers crossed behind their back? After all, one of our two political parties seems far more intent on appeasing anyone and everyone other than the American people, or at least, the 75-80 million Trump supporters.

Now that the Left has complete and total control of the US Government, what we are witnessing and experiencing is astonishing, to say

the least. In the vernacular of today, President Donald J. Trump has been “Deplatformed,” which simply means silenced, muzzled, and divorced of all of his First Amendment rights by the vindictive obsessed Left. Twitter was the first to muzzle President Trump, but their actions were quickly followed by such Titans of Technology as Facebook and Instagram. These actions are incredible and, quite frankly, unbelievable. But this is highly illustrative of the current mindset of the Left, who are petty, vindictive, and authoritarian.

Anyone who might dare to challenge the approved “Groupthink” as determined by the “Wizards of Smart” on the Left will be bludgeoned into submission by the fascist followers of the Left in the media, political arena, and society at large who prescribe to the radical, left ideology of fanaticism.

The Left seems to be intent on obliterating American sovereignty, at least concerning illegal immigration.

Even before Biden is sworn into office, a 9,000 strong caravan of people are headed towards the United States because they assume that a Biden regime will welcome them with open arms.

Never mind, all of the sick, including those with COVID19, just show up and waltz right in unabated by borders, laws, or sovereignty of America. After all, there is a new Sheriff in town, and appeasement is his game.

The reason Democrats and the Left are so focused on illegals is that they believe that they can literally import an underclass of people who will immediately become dependent on taxpayer funded social welfare programs. Once given citizenship, those same illegals will vote Democrat out of fear of losing those precious welfare programs.

Consider the horrible and dangerous “Sanctuary cities and states” such as California, where illegals are given a “Get Out of Jail Free” card and are

Hard Lessons

atching and reading these past couple of months has been enlightening. Here are two observations on subjects I find of particular interest. Both, I fear, have potentially ruinous longterm consequences.

As near as I can tell, President Obama was the first to frame opposition at the national level to set them apart from others and destroy them (in a political sense). He transformed his political opponents from Americans who disagreed with him into Bible and gun-toting “bitter clingers.”

The Saul Alinsky tactic is injurious to the body politic, and Obama executed it brilliantly. If these “conservatives” are “different” and out of the “mainstream,” they do not need to be listened to or taken seriously.

Obama was a good teacher of these dark verbal arts, although Hillary already knew how to play the game.

She escalated the polarizing oratory during the 2016 presidential race by describing the tens of millions of American citizens who supported Donald Trump as “deplorables.”

Others, including what was once mainstream media, found meaning in this tacit permission to spiral up the rhetorical cancer and, with a Trump win, took full advantage.

The “deplorables” and “bitter-clingers” morphed into “racists,” “bigots,” “Nazis,” “evil,” “white supremacists,” “inciters,” and more recently, “insurrectionists” and “traitors.”

In the Left’s eye, just supporting a candidate who believes in strong borders and equal protection under the law is now grounds for punishment.

And they must be silenced in the public square.

The Left’s relentless framing of people who think differently or express different opinions has made it

possible to dox, fire, beat up, kick, demonize, and ignore Republicans. It is now acceptable for an angry mob to surround homes and threaten others with whom they disagree. This is no accident.

The Left, its media, and its foot soldiers in the streets and in academia are mainstreaming division and hate for a reason. Few voices rise in opposition because too many Americans are constitutionally uninformed to grasp the consequences of what the Left has now bequeathed future generations.

History has lessons. You will not treat your neighbor differently until you have been conditioned to do so.

Josef Goebbels began using his propaganda in the early 1930s to frame Jews as “rats,” “crooks,” “liars,” “evil,” “impure,” “diabolical,” and “a threat to Germany.”

This was no accident.

It was not to make it easier to shoot and gas them. The “Final Solution” had not yet been planned. But Goebbels knew his language would condition the general public, so it would be easier to treat Jews differently. To ostracize them. To herd them together and ship them away to live and work elsewhere.

Conservatives are the new Jews. * * * * The attack on the Capitol also has my attention—but I see it differently than most commentators. To be clear, the attack was wrong, illegal, and those who participated should be criminally prosecuted - and they will be.

Quick to pounce, the relentless Left and its media has framed the event for immediate public consumption as an attack instigated by President Trump’s words and carried out by “Trump’s mob.” People too lazy to think for themselves or ask the right questions nod in agreement. Asking supporters to gather peacefully and put pressure on politicians is the

More than seventy million Americans voted against the Left and believe the election was (and may remain) a rigged game. Republicans and conservatives (they are not the same thing) do not riot, do not tear down statutes, do not attack buildings, do not destroy predominantly minority-owned businesses. They do not block traffic, and they do not surround Leftist’s homes.

What happens if this giant block of tax-playing, liberty-loving Americans stops playing by those rules and adopts the Left’s playbook?

How long will half of a free people allow themselves to be isolated, marginalized, compared to Nazis and stormtroopers, have elections stolen in front of their eyes, and silenced on social media?

What happens to a free people when

the Supreme Court shrugs its blackrobed shoulders in refusal to even hear, let alone uphold, a case that threatens the viability of the very document that gave the court its birth? Where do they turn?

The Left and its minions just caught a whiff of Mr. Napoleon’s grapeshot.

The event at the Capitol was a brief but tantalizing glimpse of what “pushback” might look like. A powerful leadership figure who hears the cries of the ostracized and the demonized could, with a word, overturn the corrupt temple in which the Left worships. And the Leftists know it.

President Trump believes that he and the American people were robbed and that the country is being turned into something it was never intended to be.

don’t think I’ll find many that will disagree that our nation is in turmoil. From an election that a large minority of our friends and neighbors feel was stolen to an assault on our nation’s Capital, the concern about what will come next is eerie.

There has never been a more important moment than now for both sides, red and blue, liberal and conservative, to consider the attitude and wisdom of Abraham Lincoln...

“With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds ...”

We are on a dangerous path, only a few steps away from the point of no return. Let’s not take those last few steps.

Can it begin now, with us?

We need a peaceful transfer of power without any hitches, and we need a new administration that also enters office in the spirit of Abraham Lincoln.

Make no mistake about it, President Trump has acted like a petulant child in the weeks leading up to the attack on our Capital. His careless words were and are dangerous.

I implore us all, red or blue, liberal or conservative, to abandon the violent and angry rhetoric and come together as friends and neighbors.

We may see the world differently... but we are still friends and neighbors.

I was taught a valuable lesson by my former, Pastor, Dr. Dan Boone.

I was a CEO who was at odds with a business competitor. We both attended the same church, and the aggressive businessman within me was screaming, “Go in for the kill” and I easily could have. I had a clear advantage, and I could have ended my competitor’s business. Over lunch, my pastor said, “Oh. I’m wondering if you’d do me a favor?”

I assured him that I would. He then told me of a local business that was in trouble and asked, “Will you pray for Tom and Mary? (not real names) “There business is in trouble, and a failure will cause them to lose everything.” He was, of course, talking about my competitor.

I gave my word and prayed for them daily. My attitude changed. I found a way that my success would not cause their failure. I have never regretted the decision to back off. My prayers for a competitor created compassion and an invaluable realization.

Life isn’t a zero-sum game. For one side to win, the other doesn’t have to lose. I’ll admit that I didn’t vote for President Joe Biden, but now he’s first on my daily prayer list.

Even if you weren’t a candidate, your success in life didn’t depend on this election. Your personal happiness wasn’t destroyed or created by who won or lost. Your happiness is a choice. If you are angry and miserable, it is because you choose to be so.

I happened upon a delightful movie on Netflix this week. “Full Count” is a story of a young athlete’s success that was unfairly stolen from him and how he deals with his future. After many twists and turns, he comes to a life changing realization. “Life isn’t going to make you happy. Your happiness is going to make your life.” Lots of wisdom in those words.

So, what’s my point? The election is over. On January 20, 2021, a new administration took office. Let us stop being Biden or Trump supporters and be supporters of our country and each other. For those of you who pray, I’m

asking you to join me in praying for peace and unity.

First, let’s pray for the health of our new President and administration, let’s pray for wisdom to move our country successfully forward and for compassion for, and from, our new leadership.

Let’s also pray for President Trump and his supporters. Pray that he will come to terms with his loss and move forward the rest of his life using his influence for the good of all. I pray he takes a lesson from the example set by former President Jimmy Carter.

If you’re not a praying person, set aside what anger you feel for your fellow citizens. Extend kind thoughts and words for all regardless of which candidate they supported. If your candidate won, rejoice... but please do not think of revenge or getting even.

If your candidate lost, pray for the success of the new administration.

Do not allow your joy to turn into vindictiveness, nor let your

disappointment turn to violence.

We can do better... and will.

Only our adversaries benefit from our division and failure, while the entire world benefits from the unity and success of the United States of America. Don’t allow the actions of extremists on either side to extinguish the beacon of democracy.

Radical liberal Democrats have emerged in these early years of the 21st Century, pushing an agenda that is not only ungodly but it is also un-American and un-Constitutional.

They state it is a “Living Constitution” that needs changing to fit the new world. But the youth have been indoctrinated to believe their lies and not learn about history, so they will have no point of reference or comparison for lessons learned through history. Thus, they are willing to repeat the errors of the past.

The institutions of learning do not teach that the left is the party of slavery. They are the party of abortion responsible for many millions of babies being murdered in the womb, and somehow that is okay.

Make no mistake, the power-mad rulers seek to enslave the world yet again. They will continue to push their worldview to control the masses of ‘deplorables’ they consider less than themselves. That, my brothers and sisters, is Tyranny.

So, in this new century, it has never been clearer that you cannot be a 21st century Democrat and believe in God, our creator, and redeemer.

Many Americans claim to believe in God but are lukewarm in their faith, while others are on fire for the Lord.

Which side are you on?

Do you think the murder of babies in the womb is okay? Do you think that it is okay to remove God from the public square and from our government? Are you okay with teaching our children crazy things to distort their minds with moral relativism? If you support the progressive democrats, you have strayed and departed from the founding principles and values we have held dear for about 250 years.

If it is not yet obvious what divides us, look to our leaders and the lack of an honest media. But we know in our hearts that good and evil do exist side by side in this world. And it is our apathy that has allowed our leaders to divide us. Some choose the truth of God’s word, and some choose the truth preached by the Godless new world order crowd. If you fail to see how evil the current leaders are, you are denying the Bible’s truth and assisting in the conversion in America to the godless principles of Communism, Socialism whatever ISM you choose that intend to deny liberty and freedom to all except the ruling elite.

The frog, left-leaning citizens, have been boiled slowly but with certainty.

Half of our country’s citizens do not realize they have been had, duped, and have been loaded aboard the Titanic as they are led to the slaughter.

We have one factor in our favor if China calls in our debt. They caused the China Virus, and the world knows it. The US could say, what we own them is a fine for their COVID-19 pandemic plus their theft of our intellectual property, which they have been stealing for years. They may decide to accept that or choose to take the problem to the world court. Because the whole world has been affected by the pandemic, world opinion should be on our side, and China could decide to use the most dangerous option… WAR. If war happens, the whole planet will be involved one way or another because we are all tied together in trade. China would lose

Not being versed on the metric system, I had noticed throughout Europe gasoline was sold by the liter at the pumps, and the liter price was about the same as we paid for a gallon at home. Once I saw those one-liter milk cartons, I realized the bargain of a gallon of gas back home.

It sounds stupid, but it’s how we learn by observing.

he state of our American culture causes me to harken back to the shipboard experience.

As I think of the shift in moral values across our land, food comes to mind, specifically a milk occurrence on the U.S.S. Forrestal. First, a couple of definitions: Pasteurized: a heat-treatment process that destroys pathogenic microorganisms in certain foods and beverages. It is named after the French scientist Louis Pasteur.

Homogenized: to blend into a mixture that is the same throughout. For example, in the dairy business, homogenization is a process that gives milk its rich, white color, and smooth texture. Milk that has not been homogenized contains a layer of cream that rises to the top.

GOT MILK! Before I go there, let me assure you, I am aware of the old saying, “The Navy gets the gravy while the Army gets the beans”. I had enough experience in my Army reserve days to know you guys in the ground forces did not join for the great food. So, thank you to all those who served on the ground.

No lie, I loved Navy chow from boot camp to duty on the U.S.S. Forrestal and Saratoga. Life had become tough for my Dad and the family for a few years before I joined the Navy, so I appreciated the military environment I entered. The U.S. Navy gave me the break and environment I needed.

I observed early on, sailors like lots of milk. Did they not get enough mother’s milk? I don’t know! Once aboard Forrestal, it was the same story until we went across the Atlantic pond for my first Med Cruise.

I discovered it does not take long for 4,500 men to consume the food supply. Even in the 1950s, the Navy did a fantastic job getting ample supplies

to her ships, usually transferred at sea from huge supply ships. Most food resupplies originated from the states. Milk was an exception, as it did not travel well. Once out of milk, the results were unpleasing.

I have vivid memories of powdered and or canned milk or some such combination replacing real milk.

Yuck! Put it on your cornflakes or try to drink it, yuck. The Navy did cautiously buy some food supplies in Europe but not things like milk, eggs, butter, and meat. After WW2, European food health standards were just not good enough.

I fondly remember around 1957, the Navy made a deal and contracted to buy NATO milk. NATO had a full dairy operation to serve all NATO forces. I recall those wonderful one-liter cartons. A liter is slightly more than a quart. The NATO milk was delicious as it was pasteurized but not homogenized; thus, every carton had, it seems, an inch of pure cream. Remember, not homogenized meant you could shake it up, but the cream would always eventually

As a successful mid-level Hewlett-Packard sales manager, I frequently hired sales reps who were different because I found having a force of different personalities assured success in meeting sales goals. I guess I learned that from life in the Navy. Notice I am not talking about “diversity” as that is a formula for discrimination and mediocrity. If you are old enough, think of America of the long past. There were beautiful differences north, south, east, and west. Even within a region such as the South, there were obvious beautiful differences, e.g., Floridians were vastly different from Carolinians, Texans, etc. It was these differences that I loved about mid-westerners, so-called Yankees, Californians, and so on.

Those different wonderful traits, customs, and traditions have, to some extent, been watered down as part of the natural growth and longevity of our Country. Had liberalism not been a factor, the U.S.A. would have naturally become a more and more homogeneous, yet authentic, American culture. For at least 50 years, we have been warned about the dangers of multiculturalism and political correctness. What have we done about that warning? For the most part, we scoffed and laughed at the warnings!

So, where is the conspiracy? Friends, if you don’t see it, you are like the proverbial frog in the boiling pot. Our enemies within have been engineering the American take over for the same 50 years as most of us watched and scoffed. The vehicles to destroy us from within have been things like multiculturalism, abortion, liberal

courts, dismantling Christianity, open borders, sexual confusion, censorship (think social media), and more. The big one, “YOU’VE BEEN CANCELLED”.

In summary… Those who wish to destroy America will not slow dow n thei r ef for t to ma ke the masses equal to sameness. That’s plainly Communism, where only the rulers and their stooges live well. P.S. we will become homogenized but not “pasteurized” as the well has already been poisoned with the germ of atheism.

Special Forces: Training to Free the Oppressed, Part VII

The seventh in an 11-part series sharing the very personal story of one Long Range Recon Green Beret and his time in Special Forces training. earning morse code is easy. Copying morse code at 25 to 30 words a minute is difficult. We had one instructor who could put on a different earphone on each ear, then have one morse code message sent to one ear and a different morse code message sent to his other ear. He could copy words at 50 per minute per ear. Writing with both hands, with each hand writing a different message. Yeah, Genius, like Liz. After completing my primary MOS training, we had a weeklong training exercise in the Pisgah National Forest of NC. Two days before, teams of six men were deployed into the mountains. It rained over an inch. Then it froze. Then two feet of snow fell.

Watching the weather on TV, everyone thought the exercise would be called off. Special Forces calls off nothing.

They would just put a D9 Caterpillar with a 9-foot blade out in front of the trucks transporting us and deploy eight teams of six men each in subzero weather.

They left us with no fuel for a fire.

Everything was soaked, then frozen.

My team was the only one that managed to get a fire started; I did it. The other five members on my team gave up within 15 minutes of trying to get a fire started. They crawled into their goose down sleeping bags and went to sleep.

To me, it was a challenge to start and maintain the fire. I had read all the survival books ever published. I knew how to start a fire; I just needed to do it.

I spent an hour looking at all the trees’ trunks until I found a large tree that was large enough to protect the trunk area from the rain. The one I found had a rotten section halfway up through

the center… dry half-rotted fiber, the perfect kindling.

I got a fire started. I stacked wet wood near the fire to be dried by the flames.

I was so proud of my mountain man reading on how to do things.

At midnight, I turned on the radio and made morse code radio contact with Headquarters. At 0300 and 0600, I made contact and gave reports. The others slept. It was hard work maintaining the fire, operating the radio,

and staying awake.

I heard a jeep coming up the mountain road. A Captain got out of the jeep. I stood at attention and saluted. “As you were Private,” he said as he warmed himself by my fire.

“Who got the fire started?” He asked as he looked in the tent where everyone was asleep.

“I started it, Sir,” I said with pride.

“Who helped you?” he asked, looking at me hard.

His question put me in a tough spot.

I didn’t want to say no one helped me, but I didn’t want to lie. I hesitated.

“Stand at attention, Private. You… Private, were the only one of all the teams to build a fire? You… Private were the only team to make all four radio contacts. You… Private did it all by yourself? Am I correct?”

“Sir. Yes, by myself, Sir,” the Captain left me no choice I had to tell him.

He extended his hand, and I shook it, “Excellent job, Private. Get in my jeep. Sergeant Aims douse this fire and return the fuel cans to the jeep.”

Hey Chief... the work’s all done, can we...

“Get them up, Sergeant!” There was anger in his voice, and I didn’t understand why.

The Sergeant tore the tent down as he kicked the men awake.

Before the men realized it was not me treating them so rough, they were cussing and saying they were going to kick my butt.

Once the five men were up and realized a Sergeant was getting them up, they settled down.

The Sergeant called them to attention. The Captain ordered Sergeant Aims to take their coats.

It was minus -4 degrees, but we had very good cold-weather gear. When the men were stripped of their coats, it took only a moment before they started shaking from the cold.

to eyeball and said, “We have spent weeks trying to get it into your heads that you are a team. You are always a team, regardless if you are on a mission with friends or strangers. Regardless if you like each other or not, you are a team, and you will function as a team or pack your bags and leave Special Forces. Not one of you got out of your warm sleeping bags to relieve Private Hamlin. Each of you were waiting on someone else to get up instead of doing your part.”

The men were freezing and starting to shake.

“I will be back here at 1300. You will have a fire going. You will make every scheduled radio contact. You will make radio contact with every other team on this exercise and convey to them how unfit you all are to be in Special Forces. If you miss one radio contact, I personally will put your sorry asses on the bus out of here.”

By this time, the men were shaking

“Sergeant Aims, Private Hamlin, in my jeep.”

The Captain left them there, standing at attention.

I looked back as the jeep sped away.

They were scrambling to get into their coats. They would not freeze if they worked as a team. Some in sleeping bags were staying warm as they took turns doing what the Captain had ordered.

And me? What the hell did the Captain want with me?

rchery hunting is both physically and mentally challenging.

Those challenges are why we hunters love archery hunting so much and why we get so excited about hunting season. It’s also why pre-season preparation is just as, if not more, important than getting out into the woods during the season.

Occasionally dropping a target in your yard and shooting a few arrows is NOT enough! If you want your next hunting season to be the most successful ever, you’ll need to make a serious commitment to get fully prepared for the season ahead. It’s not hard. It will just require effort and consistency. And it will pay off.

Here are a few ways to take advantage of off-season preparation to make sure you, and your equipment, are in top form.

Fine-tune Your Equipment Tuning your bow can be a tedious process, and it can be tempting to settle for “good enough.” But remember, close enough could be the difference between a great shot and a wounded animal on your next hunt.

Your gear must be dialed in. If you are uncertain, don’t be afraid to visit us to work with the pros to make the tweaks necessary to fine-tune your equipment.

Many of us hunt an entire season just to get one shot. For that one shot, I want to give myself every advantage. So, I want to be sure that my gear is perfectly set up and tuned to make that shot a great one.

Practice!

The most important tip of all is to get as much practice and experience as you can during the off-season, either in the field and on our range. Incidentally, the Archery Shack is the only indoor range in Lubbock that allows crossbows!

Focus on Form

Every shot you take, you should be thinking about your form and making the same movements until it becomes a habit. Shooting multiple arrows a day will not only have you feeling comfortable and confident, but it will also help build strength.

Build Strength and Endurance

Animals are smarter than most give them credit. How many times has a big deer just walked right into a clearing, 20 yards in front of you, with a look on their face that says, “Take your time; make your best shot”? I’m thinking… never.

Instead, their vitals are typically behind a tree or shrub, and their head is poking out all while you are drawn back just waiting for them to take one more step.

Prepare for those long holds now.

appy New Year to all of you Caprock Patriot readers. Congratulations, you’ve made it to 2021!

And what a year it’s been. A political uprising, Trump has been banned from all social media platforms and has been impeached for a second time, and as of today, all 50 state capitols, as well as the nation’s capital, are preparing for the inauguration.

If you can’t tell, this article is currently being written before the fateful day. With all of these things going on in our brand new year, which comes after the chaos we all experienced from the last one, I want to begin a conversation about self-reliance.

There are several different pursuits that can be made once one begins a lifestyle of self-reliance and different levels of achievement and philosophical frameworks. What most people start to consider before even starting the lifestyle is the question, “how much is this going to cost me.” So, before we approach the categories of self-reliance and how to pursue them, let’s first address the prioritization and motivations as to why this is something we ought even to consider and to be assured that the “cost” is something we can bear.

Libertarian Congressman Thomas Massie has a short documentary on YouTube called “Off the Grid” in which a team of film crew and producers observes the Massie family lifestyle, journey, and philosophy in terms of self-reliance and independence. In this documentary, we are shown the family’s solar system. We are given the explanation that such a system allows individual and individual families the chance to be disconnected from the umbilical cord of the system or of the government.

This example is one of many that provides a keen example of possibilities and reason to retake individual

power and autonomy. And as a matter of resource-based ability, self-reliance also shapes the frame of mind into one that no longer perceives self-reliance and independence as a sacrifice from the luxuries and ease of the grander system. In short, we begin to reverse engineer the perception that we are too incapable of being on our own. Once we make this realization, we begin to reawaken the dormant muscles of our own fortitude and capabilities to be our own person, to be our own families.

In conclusion, and in my opinion, we must be redirected into a journey in which we become our own selves again. We must begin the quest of self-reliance and begin to not see ourselves as subjects to a system that can’t stand on its own. We must reframe our

perspective of bigger paychecks, bigger bank accounts, and grander safety nets into one of autonomy, self-reliance, and in the end, fuller freedom. Until that point, stay safe.

crouching, kneeling, mid-step, and the list goes on. The more positions you can confidently shoot from, the better. So, add variety when you practice.

Shoot at a variety of angles, shoot from a variety of distances and shoot from a variety of positions to help ensure you are best prepared.

Focus on Fitness There will be situations where you have just climbed a hill, are huffing and puffing, and need to drawback; it’s going to happen. Prepare now by throwing on your backpack, grabbing your bow, and going for a hike. If you cannot easily access hiking areas, go for a brisk walk with your backpack on, do some air squats or burpees in between shots, do whatever you can to get your heart rate up, and strengthen your legs.

Make It a Habit Most important… Make your off-season preparation a weekly, if not daily,

habit. If you do, you will be a finetuned machine when the season starts.

Your legs will be strong and able to get you where you need to go. And, when it comes time to take a shot, you will do so confidently, knowing that you have put hours of practice in, knowing that your bow is shooting straight, and knowing that you have the strength to hold that bow back as long as it takes to get a great shot.

Remnant Christians in a Post-Trump World

hat a difference twelve months make! Last February, our nation began to come to grips with the impact of a foreign invasion by an invisible enemy. Its given name was Covid-19.

This virus was purposely thrown upon America, and on the world, by a nation with a powerful anti-God worldview. That nation is Communist China. Sadly, some American Christians have responded to this enemy attack in un-Godly ways.

Political leaders, nationally, in different states, and even from county to county, used this invisible enemy as a justification to “lock down” American citizens. Christians have not seriously considered the spiritual repercussions of their reactions to these political and authoritarian

attacks on our inalienable rights and freedoms, as patriotic Americans.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord (Jesus), the people whom He

(the God of the Bible) has chosen as His heritage.” This is a quote from Psalm 33, verse 12, found in the Old Testament of the Bible. A nation, ruled by “totalitarianism” and believing it is god, desires to rule not only its own citizens but all citizens of the world. China has weaponized a virus to drive America into submission and to bow down to this demonic god, also called socialism. Amazingly, American Christians, blinded by their hate of a President named Trump, have now deceitfully elected a President who embraces these socialistic ideas. A nation of citizens that understands that their freedoms are a gift from their Creator cannot serve the god of socialism and the God who created them at the same time.

A Christian View of Socialism

ver the last few years, Americans have increasingly entertained the idea that socialism would be a good thing for us to be actively involved. We have politicians worth millions who openly refer to themselves as “socialists” and college professors earning multiple six figures who teach their students that it’s the long-awaited panacea for overcoming the many things that make us such a bad country. The media seems to be mainly on board, and our Hollywood millionaires adore it as well. Even much of corporate America agrees publicly with its rhetoric as they go about the planet busily pursuing capitalist dollars. Indeed, a significant portion of the American culture is seriously considering this nouveau attraction to socialism.

The truth is, virtually all the people

who are so attracted to it have never actually tried it. There are indeed millions of other Americans who HAVE experienced it firsthand, and they are almost unanimously against the idea. In fact, they left their home countries where they were under socialism to live in this

country where individual freedoms and personal achievement are celebrated in conjunction with an opposing economic system called capitalism. Many of them departed under dangerous circumstances and many others died trying to escape socialism. Despite their negative experiences around the world, the aforementioned millions of pro-socialist Americans pursue it either without a true understanding of what it is and where it inevitably leads or because they are secretly in pursuit of political power.

Hopefully, the problem for most of its supporters is a lack of understanding, and we can start to correct that by seriously considering this definition commonly and easily found on the Internet: “Socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization advocating that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.”

There are several notable words here that ought to motivate particular consideration. One is that socialism is a theory, which means that it’s a supposition, which means that it’s an uncertain belief. Even though it has had a predictably negative track record down through history, it is for some reason still referred to as an uncertain belief system. Secondly, community

ownership has to be translated as government ownership because there’s no other community option available, and it will have to replace the current system of private ownership. Third, extensive regulation WILL be required because somebody has to oversee the distribution of the community’s assets and the related exchanges.

On a secular level, the main reason socialism is so highly touted comes from the value judgment that the inevitable income disparity that results from capitalism is an unfair, unhealthy, and undesirable social condition. The fact that the founder and head of Amazon Corporation is worth 180 billion dollars is something we should be offended by when actually my reaction is the opposite because he has just shown me that in our free and relatively unregulated present system, I have an opportunity to be successful if I get a good idea and work hard. Socialism says that it is unfair that he should be worth so much and me so little and that, therefore, somebody should take some of it (amount to be determined) away from him and give it to me. Better yet, I want to be in the relatively small group of ruling regulators who decide on how much of his wealth should be redistributed to me. And never mind that his company presently provides 1.2 million jobs to people primarily in America and Canada who will probably become unemployed when he moves to some other country where the people are less “enlightened” than our socialists.

Why do so many people no longer see the obvious: that socialism will always, and only, produce a culture where there is no individual freedom, no private ownership of anything, and with less per capita wealth instead of more? It is as though they are blinded as they try to impose their naivete, lack of wisdom, and inexperience on the rest of us. The fact is, they ARE blinded because there is a spiritual root that progressively SEE VIEW OF SOCIALISM | PAGE 31

worsens. Said another way, there is a spiritual problem afoot operating on several levels, and it will have to be dealt with on a spiritual level before it gets even worse.

Tracing it back from the secular explanation, the current interest in socialism is part of a widespread dissatisfaction with America as a country.

According to them, we are a historically racist, unloving, intolerant, and multi-phobic country that can only be corrected by a massive overhaul of everything, including our entire economic system. On the other side, we can plainly see that America is the most exceptional country that has ever existed and that our exceptionalism is based on our founding as a Christian nation built on bible-based principles and values. I know that many people don’t want to acknowledge this aspect of our history, but the truth is what it is.

Being a nation built on a biblical foundation doesn’t mean that everything that goes on here will be utopian. Being exceptional doesn’t mean any of our people will be perfect or that any of us will ever experience even a perfect moment. But that foundation, along with the freedom that only comes with the presence of God, makes it possible for unmatched individual growth and development, and success. Moreover, have you ever considered that for the past 400 years, God has used America as the launch place for the

www.CaprockPatriot.com greatest worldwide harvest of souls in the history of the planet? Billions of lives have been saved for eternity because of American exceptionalism!

Here’s the crux of this point: people who are anti-God and anti-Bible attack the idea that America is exceptional because exceptionalism validates God’s influence in our history. Almost all of them believe they are arguing a political issue, but it’s really a spiritual issue, and they are at odds with God and His Bible.

It’s His testimony to the world: America has been exceptional as a positive consequence of our historical reliance on God. By attacking exceptionalism, they purpose to damage the idea of divine involvement in America’s affairs and our continued Christian influence in the world. By espousing socialism, they purpose to replace God and His freedom with government control and its bondage. The Bible says that God is the Owner of everything. Socialism says that the community, through its “representative” the government, owns everything.

Another point is that socialism is rooted in covetousness, which, according to the Bible, is a sin. If I see that my neighbor has something I don’t have and begin to focus on how I can acquire the same thing or even acquire his or her thing for myself, I am demonstrating covetousness. And covetousness is accompanied in varying degrees by the attendant sins of jealousy, greed, and the desire to control and manipulate others. I submit to you that no system

based in sin can ever succeed, which explains why socialism has historically failed. Whatever you take God out of will eventually fail because freedom goes with Him to be replaced by bondage to unrighteousness.

Some say that socialism is superior to capitalism because the latter is fueled by greed, but that is an inaccurate characterization. Indeed, the Bible shows that it’s God’s desire for believers to be prosperous and successful. Jesus shed His blood and died on a Roman Cross to redeem us from lack and insufficiency, and poverty. As long as God is in the mix, there is always a righteous way to financial success. Greed happens when God is taken out of capitalism, but at least there is an option for greed to be the exception. Under socialism, it is greed and selfishness that seek to redistribute what God has assigned to others.

Unfortunately, most of the people who can’t see these things are also currently unable to see God, and that’s the real tragedy. It’s tragic because they are rejecting Jesus, the one person who could make them into exceptional people with exceptional prospects.

Nevertheless, instead of despising the people who decry our exceptionalism, who mock God and think they can do something better and smarter, instead of giving up on all those people, we’re called to love them, to lovingly but forcefully and purposefully resist their agenda and to pray for the truth to get through to them before time runs out. And here’s something special for

the Church, i.e., the Body of Christ: resistance is a vital part of our future, for if we don’t resist, we will lose the exceptionalism that God has been using to make disciples of the nations, which by the way includes this nation!

FAILED NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS? Seek Community!

N

ew Year’s Resolutions are hardly taken seriously anymore.

From Christmas Season to a few weeks past New Year’s, these so-called resolutions are the joking justification for overindulgence. “I won’t eat as much sugar come the New Year,” you might say while cramming that seventh piece of pie in your mouth. “I’ll be better with money and budget consistently next year,” your friend says after the stress of Christmas gifts wrecked his already feeble bank account. And examples go on and on. From food, to relationships, to exercise, to finances, we all make commitments that we don’t keep.

After a few short weeks of gung-ho resolution, you slowly drift back into your old, inefficient self. Out of sight out of mind.

While the New Year is a great time to commit to changes, there is nothing inherent about the New Year (or new month or new day for that matter) that makes change easier. Furthermore, many people commit to change in isolation. Sure, your significant other knows that you are cutting out sugar and caffeine, but she still asks for your order at your favorite coffee

shop, bakery, or burger joint. On the flip side, you may know that your partner is going to try to be more financially responsible, but you still spend the same thinking, “It will all work out somehow.”

Change happens within the context of community. While each individual is responsible for their own actions, mere white-knuckle willpower does not lead to serious and in-depth change as often as we would like.

Ask anyone who’s ever tried to do anything or significance. Most will mention a mentor, a friend, a coach, a support group, or some other person who helped with the change process.

“Bad company corrupts good character” (1 Corinthians 15:33). The good news about that quote is that it means that good company can help correct bad character. Being able to do it all by yourself is not a sign of maturity.

Maturity comes in knowing your limits and seeking wise counsel to transcend them. As a Christian, the Holy Spirit desires your sanctification. You have the ability to dive deeper into the fruits of the Spirit. From love to self-control, your birthright as a New Creation and a child of God is the ability to live a virtuous life.

However, God and you are not the

only players in the change-game.

This was true from the very beginning of time. “It is not good for man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). The only thing “not good” about the original creation was the lack of community.

Adam had direct access to God. He was sin-free, had all the food he could want, and lived in a beautiful garden.

He could even hang out with any animal he wanted! (Imagine petting a Lion or a Grizzly Bear.) Nonetheless, God recognized that being alone was not ideal. Even when Adam had union with God, He recognized that man needs fellowman.

Imagine a parent saying, “I’m such a good parent and love my kid wholeheartedly. Therefore, my boy doesn’t need friends his age.” We would probably label this kind of parent as a “helicopter parent.” God is not a “helicopter god.” Yes, he’s omniscient and omnipresent, but he designed humans to have certain needs besides spiritual needs. You need food, sleep, and relationships (among many other things). You need these things, especially relationships, to change and grow into a more mature person.

It’s February, and most likely, you have already given up on your resolutions. Or maybe you didn’t even make

them out of a fear of failure. Perhaps your first resolution should be to find some who wants to invest time into you. Whether it’s a friend or a family member or a pastor, a coach, or a professional counselor, you need someone in your corner to help you be all you can be.

These times are weird and frightful for America. We can’t really control the political realm or the virus. We can’t stop the riots. Although we can try, none of us have the power to stop these things individually. People will be evil; the fallen world will continue to do damage. But we all have the power to try to change our own lives. We all have the power to admit our powerlessness and seek someone who will walk alongside us so we can change for the better.

Law, Order, and Civil Disobedience

W

e often hear two extremes coming from many regarding universal human government. Some curse government as the epitome of evil, while others regard the edicts of our political leaders as final on all socio-political issues. Is the government inherently evil? Should we obey every ordinance of man without reservation?

What does Biblical history reveal about the origin and purpose of universal human government?

In Genesis 6, involving an apparent intrusion of celestial principalities and powers, God became so displeased with mankind that He destroyed the world w ith a global flood. Fortunately for us, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. After the Flood, God established what is generally referred to as the Noahic covenant (Gen. 9).

This contract with humanity restates many elements contained in the Adamic covenant from Genesis 1 with some interesting differences.

In particular, capital punishment is mandated to suppress any arbitrary slaughter of mankind. Biblical scholarship recognizes this as the seminal principle for universal human government. Like the use of animals for clothing and then

food, God authorizes certain forms of killing. The Bible makes it clear that murder is an unauthorized, autonomous act of killing on the part of man. Therefore, in the case of murder, justice is served through capital punishment. It should also be emphasized that this ordinance was for perpetual generations.

The New Testament scriptures affirm the continuity of this divinely mandated social contract. The apostle Paul states in Romans 13 that ministers of state are, in fact, ministers of God and that they do not bear the sword in vain. Peter’s exhortation (I Pet.2) to honor the king is also consistent with Paul’s general admonition in this matter.

It is clear that Christians should appropriately honor government as a divine institution. However, both

apostles are presupposing that ministers of state intend to serve what is good and punish evil according to God. This is to be true for every divine institution established by God for His purposes. Authorities that act outside these purposes are acting in opposition to God. LAW AND ORDER Throughout history, God may have accommodated different forms of human government in carrying out this original mandate. The Bible does not specifically affirm or condemn various Gentile political systems as long as the basic purpose for general morality and social harmony are followed. Although it may be argued that God advanced a superior form of government for Israel to be copied by other nations, the scriptures are relatively

void in affirming this conclusion.

Consistent with God’s character, ministers of state should primarily suppress murder, as well as other forms of debilitating evil. It seems that our consideration of government or church/state issues should ultimately focus more on what is divinely right or wrong than on any political form. Even in human government, form should follow function.

From the beginning, capital punishment was established to deal with murder justly. However, the natural rise in social complexity drove civilizations to expand the scope of political interaction and establish more extensive legal codes. In general, law should beget order, and order here essentially means non-violent social harmony.

Unfortunately, due to the reality of sin, the implementation of law often becomes perverted. Law has been used to establish preference, privilege, and in various additional ways inconsistent with justice.

In fact, law can be manipulated to generate disorder, which serves to destroy men and societies.

do we respond when we are faced with governments, or civilizations, which progressively make good evil and evil good?

SOCI A L I N T ER ACT ION A N D CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE Although the church may be guilty of mishandling her role of influence in society at times, it is an illusion to consider the church as apolitical.

The apostolic exhortations already cited briefly outline the general political responsibility of Christians.

Furthermore, if good and evil mean anything to us, then what is the church’s role in confronting and exposing social or political evil?

How is it that we are to “strengthen the things that remain” culturally?

Prayer and social action have always been the ongoing Christian mode of operation in this life. Social action spans from acts of charity to civil disobedience. Although the government was ordained by God, statism is idolatry. The Bible presents episodes of so-called “civil disobedience” to remind us that the government is not an autonomous, absolute power. The history of martyrdom also reminds us that we should obey God rather than man, even though it may cost our lives.

When we consider the necessity of confronting evil in the world, Christians are taken to task when a

culture becomes more sophisticated in its exercise of evil. We may refrain from sin and avoid every appearance of evil. However, when political authorities solicit our participation or support for evil ends, then Christians are confronted with a dilemma. We are to obey authorities, but we are not to do evil. What will we do when we cannot honor both principles? Furthermore, should passive resistance ever end in armed conflict?

Human government was ordained to suppress murder. Yet, what happens when this institution becomes the murderer? What does this mean for saints who would support or participate in a society driven by such a form of government? The Bible, as well as history, holds the answer. Have believers always complied with their earthly kings? Some interesting examples of civil disobedience occur in scripture.

In Exodus 1, the midwives refuse to kill the babies at Pharoah’s command. God blesses the midwives.

In I Samuel 14, the soldiers refuse to put Jonathan to death even though King Saul ordered it. Later in I Samuel 22, the Israeli soldiers refuse to kill God’s priests even though the King demands it.

In I Kings 21, Naboth declines to render his family’s vineyard to King Ahab, even though the King wanted it.

In Peter and John, in Acts 4, honor God over men regarding the

Other examples could be gleaned from the scriptures in which servants simply elected to avoid or ignore the king’s commands.

Early Christians apparently rejoiced when their property was confiscated or when they were privileged to give their life for Christ.

However, in our concern for others’ lives and property, are we loving our neighbors when we quietly assent to the progressive wickedness of an egregious political system? What pre-Mosaic principle sent Abraham to wage war with the kings of the east? On what basis did Jesus elect to aggressively challenge the policies of divinely appointed authorities and their moneychangers in the temple? Theologians and Bible scholars, more committed to non-violence than truth, have failed to produce cogent arguments for an exclusive pacifism for those

desiring to follow Abraham’s faith and be Christ-like in character.

So, what was really going on in Seattle and Portland this summer?

Who was really responsible for the US Capital riot in January? Are we getting the truth from the media in these matters, or merely a scripted narrative sending us down the road to a Babylonian New World Order?

SUMMARY In 1644, Rev. Samuel Rutherford published his premier work, Lex Rex, which provided a Biblical foundation for constitutional republics in Europe, and America which followed. We would do well to review this work again. On the other hand, if we wish to ignore or dismiss the importance of civil responsibility, we will again prove that blind obedience will usher in statist idolatry.

hen most people think of Santa Claus, they think of a symbol of gift-giving. He is jolly, rewards those who are nice rather than naughty, and always is readily identified by his beautiful red suit with accents of white fur. But there are very real people who have the potential to give us the greatest unimaginable gift of all. And they dress quite differently.

Some do not look in any way like the overweight gentleman that miraculously negotiates entry into homes through the tight space within chimneys without getting a speck of soot on his crimson wardrobe. Indeed, it may be hard to tell what color they are wearing because they are covered in filth. They are gaunt with skin pulled tightly across their bones and starving.

No, it is not us who bring the greatest gift to those who can benefit by our attempts to be of help, but it is the extraordinary and most precious gift that we may receive in return; but only if we truly serve with love rather than simply going through the motions.

That is something that only God and each person knows for certain. Jesus tells us what this priceless gift is: “Then the king will say to those on his right ‘Come those who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’” (Mt: 25:34) “

So many times, when people see the sufferings of others, they question God’s love and wisdom. We see people throughout the world who are in such desperate need of the things that we Americans just take for granted. I will always remember my trip to Haiti many years ago, where I saw children who looked like walking skeletons from the taste of “mud cookies”, which is all their mother had to feed them... dirt mixed with sugar cane syrup.

How can a loving God allow such suffering that we see in homes, hospitals, and institutions? Why are there so many poor and needy? The answer may be that they all are giving the rest of us a chance to go to heaven because, in a very real way, like Peter, they hold the key. They are the givers of the greatest gift of all, and they are not always dressed in red.

It is difficult to find a valid excuse for not doing all we can to serve others in need... they are innumerable and easy to find. If we don’t feel comfortable going out of our way and doing things for people, Jesus provides all the incentive we need: “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one o these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Mt: 25:40).

Forging the Memories of the Future

on’t worry; it’s going to get worse. It has too.

If America “woke up” and realized what a mess we are in, and suddenly the GOP and Democrats got along, and there emerged a “new consensus,” then I’d bet every dollar that it would be Traditional Americans that, yet one more time, caved in to the demands of the Left.

That would solidify the promotion of homosexuality in our schools. Our schools — this country does not belong to the government, nor do our children.

It will accelerate the demonization of white kids in schools. Mark my words, if you have a child named “Fritz” or “Thor,” it is not far off when SJWs will demand they adopt non-Nordic names that don’t trigger them. Our children will be turned out of public schools unless we assent to this humiliation.

Acquiescence now means the continued dehumanization of traditional Americans as “deplorable,” and “irredeemable,” and “Nazi.” It would set in concrete the policy of de-platforming patriots and Christians. Any Christian who thinks the Bible is “politically correct” hasn’t spent much time reading it recently.

We aren’t ready to fight yet. Too many still think someone is coming to save us, and that it’s just a bad dream, and that we’ll get “through this together.”

Too many still want to keep our heads down, keep our voices low, and stay invisible, hoping the angry hordes turn their wrath on someone else. Perhaps, we think, we can eke out our existence for a few more decades — maybe things will change them, and it will get better.

That’s not going to happen.

There’s an old saying: “the beatings will continue until morale improves!”

And I think there is a truth in that statement. God is trying to get our attention — don’t just blame this on the devil.

I remember back in Junior High

school. Some boys would walk the halls in packs. Larger boys — and they’d take pleasure in harassing some poor soul (who already had enough social baggage to deal with). Some victims responded by slinking down the sides of the halls hoping no one noticed them.

That student was cowed.

And that is the root word for a coward — one who is cowed. One who is brow-beaten into silence, who justifies hiding as a survival tactic (we all want to be the gray man!), has been cowed.

He is a cow-ard. (I’m working through this like everyone else.)

Like in the movies, sooner or later, our underdog hero (remember Karate Kid?) wakes up and realizes that there simply is no point at which “we can all just get along.” And that boy changes.

He makes a decision deep inside to fight back. Inside, he births moral courage that is the foundation for physical courage. Moral courage is the harder and nobler of the two. It is priceless and, like honor, can be taken with you into eternity.

God is trying to get our attention. He’s going to send bullies until enough of us decide to wake up. If we don’t, the line into hell is led first by the cowards Rev 21:8. Courage is a fundamentally Christian requirement.

For too long, we’ve sought acceptance by bullies who have loaded us with so much guilt that we dare not raise our voice in protest because we are fearful (cowardly) of the accusations that drive us toward our own destruction: “Racist!” They scream if we want strong borders.

“Sexist!” they say if we teach our children that the Father is the head of the household.”

“Homophobic!” they cry when we demand that marriage is between one male and one female.

“Intolerant!” They scream when we dare raise a point of view that they won’t tolerate.

These are the tactics used by the Pharisees of old — they would invent “precepts” that counter-handed God’s commandments.

Jesus Christ specifically defended the Fifth Commandment when confronting the Pharisees. It is a duty to honor your ancestors — it is non-optional.

It is an obligation to the Past and the Future. Honoring one’s ancestors is a fundamentally Christian requirement — it is the foundation of our continuance as a Christian nation. Without a Christian nation, our ability to evangelize the world would wither away.

And so, it has.

Make no mistake, this is a war. They want the blood of innocent children (from abortion to the child abuse produced from homosexuality). Like the Pharisees of old, they are masters of manipulation, accusation, slander, half-truths, and endless petty rules that form the chains of our slavery. And we have assented to it.

Here is the choice: You can pretend you are wise for being the gray man.

Or — like Gideon — get out of your hidey-hole and make a ruckus. Live not by lies. Speak the truth, boldly.

Stop being afraid. If they called our King Beelzebub, why do you expect them not to call you a Nazi? They use these words because we have submitted to them — these words “cow” us into obedience as we seek acceptance from those who hate us anyway.

That is the definition of an abusive relationship.

We must have the moral courage to walk away.

The dull and boring life of the Church is over. Let those depart who cannot summon Christian courage. Now we honor our ancestors. Now we fight for

our descendants. Now is the age in which we forge the memories that our great-grandchildren shall remember us by.

Many Christians have opened the political door to let the political god, socialism, steal our Creator-gifted freedoms.

Priests determine and guide the spiritual direction of our personal lives and the lives of the citizens of the nation. The “Priests� chosen by our American form of government are the judges that occupy the chairs of our Supreme Court. Some of these judges claim to be “Christians�. These “Priests� have, against the better judgment of “We the people�, redefined the family unit, made it lawful to sacrifice our unborn children to the god of choice, taken prayer out of our schools, and now canceled the valid votes of 74 million American citizens. And we arrogantly expect God to bless our nation? “Come on, man�!

President Biden and many “RINO� republicans all agree that “the people have spoken�. We are expected to

blindly believe more “rational-lies� from our political leaders and many pastors in the pulpits of our churches. Carefully choose your spiritual shepherds!

Hitler was welcomed into power by Christians who trusted his lies. One Pastor stood up against his evil aggressions. That Pastor, named Dietrich Bonhoeffer, died in front of a firing squad days before American soldiers would have freed him. He was a “remnant Christianâ€?. In the Bible is a book titled Romans. In the eleventh chapter, the author encourages the persecuted Christians, of that day, with these words‌ â€?Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left. And they seek my lifeâ€?. But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal (the god of that day)â€?. So too, at the present time, there is a remnant, chosen by grace.â€? This is the question

that many Christians are asking themselves today, “Am I alone?� Lord, reveal your remnant Christians to a world blinded by spiritual darkness.

As “remnant� Christians, we will need to learn how to deal with more censorship, harassment, and ridicule from our fellow-citizens and even other Christians. This new “Post Trump� season will truly test our faith in Jesus.

The darkness to come, promised by our new President, will make us stronger Christians.

Jesus lovingly encourages us, today, with His timeless words‌ �I have said these things to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. and helped me to the house. I was covered in blood from my head to my boots, my nose was twice its normal size, I had big knots on my forehead, and my clothes were ripped up.

A s we wa l ked to the house, I stopped, turned around, and looked back at the coral. I told my wife, “I feel like all of this happened for somebody‌ that somebody needs to hear this. You’re going to think I’m crazy, but if this helps someone, all the pain was worth it.â€?

MY WIFE SHOWERED OFF the blood, changed my clothes, then off we went to the Emergency Room an hour away. When they wheeled me into the ER room, 22 Nurses, Technicians, and Doctors were crowded in there with my wife and me. I asked them what warranted so many of them to take care of just me. They

www.CaprockPatriot.com laughed and said, “We all wanted to see what a man looks like after a bull got through with him.� As they took my clothes off, all I could hear was Oooohs, Awwws, and Oh my gosh.

After the X-rays and MRI, they said I had two broken ribs, a cracked vertebra, and my body looked like I’d been naked in a paintball shoot-out with yellow, purple, black, and red paintballs.

Finally, they all wanted to know “HOW� I got away from that bull.

I looked at them all and said, “Do you really want to know the truth, the real truth, how I got away from that bull?� And they smiled, saying, “Yes.�

I cried out to God, saying, “God help me, Jesus help me. I don’t see a way out of this coral, but I believe in miracles, and if you don’t get me out of this corral, this bull is going to kill me. As soon as I asked God for His help, the bull put his horns under

me and flipped me over the 6-foot fence to safety.�

I THOUGHT THE NURSES, Doctors, and Techs were going to have a Hallelujah shouting Sunday go-tomeeting time right there in the ER room. I couldn’t see her, but I heard a woman in the back say, “Oooh‌ I really needed to hear that with what I’m going through right now.â€?

There was my answer. I felt like God
