Dear Costa Link I am a sailor in the merchant navy. My parents live in South London and one of my sisters, who lives in Brixton, is married to a guy from Liverpool. My Father and Mother have recently been arrested for growing and selling marijuana and are currently dependent on my two sisters, who are prostitutes. I have two brothers, one who is currently serving a non-parole life sentence in Wormwood Scrubs for the rape & murder of a teenage boy in 1994,the other currently being held in Wandsworth on remand centre on charges of incest with his three children. They are both souls that are no longer living in the body, but a ghost is a soul that has remained on Earth, and a spirit is a soul that has moved onto the other side and has begun a new life there. As spirits can come to this side to visit, but will return home they are not stuck on the psychical plane, ghosts are. Ghosts haunt places for all manner of reasons some stay Earth bound to protect a loved one, if they were murdered they may seek justice, or a fear of being judged for wrong doings. Many just have a fear of letting go of the Earth plane, whatever the reason helping these souls over is a very rewarding job. If you feel that your house is haunted remember it is best to get advice on clearing your home or business. Ghosts are people and not pets and they have a right to go home and reunite with loved ones. Interesting books to read on the subject are: ‘Spirit Rescue’ by Wilma Davidson and ‘We Are The Heaven’ by Alison DuBois.

Grilled Sardines with Fennel and Orange Salad Ingredients 2 sardines Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste 2 baby fennel, sliced thinly on a mandolin 1 orange, juice only 1 orange, peeled and segmented 1-2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped Method
1.Preheat the grill to high. 2.Remove the heads from the sardines and split them down the middle, on the underside. 3.Press down along the backbone of the fish, turn over, then carefully remove the
backbone from the sardines, cutting off the bone just before the tail. 4.Season to taste, then place under the hot grill for 3-4 minutes, or until cooked. 5.While the sardines are cooking, make the salad. Mix together the sliced fennel, orange juice, orange segments, olive oil and dill. 6.Spoon onto a serving plate, and arrange the grilled sardines on top, to serve.

The Doctors Visit I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor’s office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45 am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn’t have any time to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn’t going to be able to make the full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pyjamas, wet the flannel that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash
in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the flannel in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment. I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away. I was a little surprised when the doctor said, “My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven’t we?” I didn’t quite know what to say, so said nothing. Continued overleaf...

Looking for something different, fun and adrenalin pumping? Then Sphere Mania could be just what you’re looking for! So what is sphereing? Quite simply it is when you climb into a huge inflatable ball, strap yourself to the sides and then get pushed down a 200 meter hill at speeds of up to 25 miles an hour. Sound fun? Well I thought so, and so on Father’s Day I took myself and my two daughters off to try it out. I opted for the Aquasphere as with my four year old daughter being just over 1 meter tall she was not the required 1.4 meters for the harness sphere. Aquasphereing is the same principal but without the harnesses and with 30 litres of water thrown in for good measure! After climbing into the 4 meter high sphere and having the water added, we were pushed down the hill! Your body weight and the weight of the water keeps you on the bottom of the sphere as you roll down the hill at speeds of up to 25 miles an hour with the sphere rotating around you; just like a hamster in a ball. Golf Tips And Tricks The Good, The Bad and The Ugly by Mark Sibley of Miraflores Golf Academy The Good: - We have all played rounds of golf we are proud of where everything just seemed to go right and the putts just would not miss the hole. By the 18th hole confidence is at an all time high and anything is possible! The Bad: - This is the game where the putts just lip out, the balls will not hold the green, the chip shots are to long and by the 18th you know you have lost and handing your card in will just be a formality. The Ugly: - When this happens it comes without warning and takes the golfer totally by surprise, it will be a mixture of perfect shots which do exactly what the player wants resulting in compliments from his playing partners and then shots which are so bad the player cannot believe he played it and will look around for some excuse, a passing tractor, a whispering golfer or a barking dog. By the 18th hole you will have destroyed your score and be apologizing to your playing partners. How a player deals with a bad shot or a bad round is important. Playing good golf is about confidence, you must believe that you can play the shot and get the score, what the ugly round will do is hit you hard in your self belief. The Cure 1st. Head straight for the practice ground and check your set up and your swing. Pick a target and starting with your wedge, hit balls until ten are on target. Then move up a club, working your way through to the driver, not forgetting the putter, five balls in 1metre then 2 metres from the hole is a good drill. 2nd. Play nine holes on your own at a time when the course is not busy. Play two balls against each other, pick your targets and shots you intend to play and keep a record of the score for each ball. Your aim in this is

Last week, Larry La Prise, the man who wrote “The Hokey Cokey,” died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. Dogs and cats with light-coloured noses and fur are vulnerable to sunburn, so try to keep them out of the sun between 10am and 4pm. When they do go outside, rub a bit of non-toxic sunblock on unprotected areas like the tips of ears and the tip of the nose. Keep dogs and cats well groomed - especially longhaired ones. A tangle-free coat will help protect your pet’s delicate skin and keep it cool in the sunshine. Dogs enjoy being active and it’s great for their health, as well as yours. On very hot days, try to venture out either early in the morning or late in the evening when the temperature is more comfortable. Never force your dog to run in hot, humid weather. d

Never leave your dog (or any pet) alone in a car, even with the windows rolled down. Sunlight can raise the temperature inside a vehicle in a matter of minutes, causing an animal to suffer from heatstroke. Overweight, elderly, very young or ill dogs are most at risk, as it takes more effort for them to regulate their body temperature. On hot days dogs and cats may drink more than usual, so regular access to fresh, clean water is essential. Take plenty of water with you if you’re travelling with your pet. d
