BOYS JV BASKETBALL
T
he JV boys’ basketball team is 5-9 on the season. Last week-
end, the young Pilgrims went 1-1 losing to Northridge 25-40 and came back on Saturday to beat Mishawaka in a close game 36-35. Against Northridge, Zach Stone had 7 points and Sco� Carmichael added 6. he Plymouth Pilgrims recorded three wins last week to raise their season record to 10-4. On Monday, Plymouth traveled to Bremen for a make-up game. In a total team effort, the Pilgrims won 66-38. Sophomore, Tom Felke, led the team in scoring with 13 points. Ike Kastner added 12 points. Ryan McNeil had 11 points. Mack Mercer had 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. John Ruff had 7 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Joe Knapp led the team in rebounds with 7. On Friday, Plymouth won an important conference game against the Northridge Raiders 60-53. Northridge did not have an answer to stop sophomore, Mack Mercer. Mercer finished the game with 31 points hi�ing 11 of 14 from the field. Mercer also grabbed 11 rebounds, had 2 assists and 2 steals. scored 7 points while Joe Knapp and Kyle Kaser came off the bench to each score 7 points to help give the Pilgrims the win. On Saturday, the Pilgrims faced Mishawaka. Plymouth got off to a fast start leading 18-9 a�er the first quarter which set the tone for the rest of the game. The Cavemen stayed with the Pilgrims through the rest of the game but could not make up for the first quarter deficit. Plymouth won 60-53. Ryan McNeil led the team with 14 points, 3 from the 3pt. line. Ruff had 9 points, 2 assists and 3 steals. Mercer had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Kastner added 7 points and Gabe Vervynckt had 6. Plymouth travels to Warsaw on Thursday, Feb. 9, for another conference game with the JV game starting at 6:15 pm. The Pilgrims will host CMA on Tuesday, Feb. 14, and Wawasee on Thursday, Feb. 16.

BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL The freshman boys’ basketball team is 7-6 on the season. Plymouth won two games last week beating S.B. St. Joseph in a low scoring game 17-15 and pulled out the win against conference foe, Northridge, 37-34. Plymouth will host Valparaiso on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 11:00 am. The young Pilgrims will travel to LaPorte on Monday, Feb. 6, for a 6:30 pm game. The Pilgrims will finish their season hosting Rochester on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 pm and Plymouth will host the NLC tournament on Saturday, Feb. 11, with games at 10:00 and 11:45 am.
GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
T
he varsity girls’ basketball team is 6-12 on the season. The young Pilgrims keep improving every game. Plymouth won another conference game beating Wawasee 47-31. Junior, Amber Redinger led the team in scoring with a season high 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Fellow junior, Lauren Tanner, added 11 points. The Pilgrims beat S.B. Clay 53-43 with 4 players in double figures. Tanner led the team with 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Freshman, Haley Harrell had 14 points and had 5 rebounds. Redinger had 11 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman, Hunter Stevens, had 10 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Against conference rival, Northridge, the Pilgrims had problems scoring. Stevens led the team with 15 points and 4 rebounds. Tanner had 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Redinger had 6 points and led the team

in rebounds with 5. Plymouth hosted Goshen on Thursday, Feb. 2, in their last regular season game. The following seniors and their parents were honored a�er the game: Victoria Dewar, daughter of Dan & Tina Dewar and Bri�any Himes, daughter of Karla Himes. The Pilgrims are ge�ing ready for the IHSAA Sectional. Plymouth will play the winner of Glenn and South Bend St. Joseph on Friday, Feb. 10 at New Prairie.

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL
T
he JV team is 13-5 on the year. The young Pilgrims beat Wawasee 45-5. Kaydon Fosler led the team with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Dylan Holiday had 10 points and Meagan Fisher had 8 points, 2 assists and 5 steals. Allie Wright had 4 assists and 4 steals. Against S.B. Clay, Plymouth won 43-3. Fosler had 12 points, 3 assists and 9 steals. Savannah Mae had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Fisher added 6 points. Plymouth lost to conference foe, Northridge 13-19.

GIRLS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL
T
he freshman girls’ basketball team is 8-8 on the season. The Pilgrims beat Northridge 28-14 and S.B. Adams 31-12. Plymouth will play in the NLC tournament on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Northridge. Plymouth will play Tippecanoe Valley at 10:00 am. The consolation and championship games will be played at noon.

Scholar Athlete of the Month The Scholar/athlete for the month of February is Brandon Baird, son of Brian & Laura Baird. Brandon is 9th in his class with an 11.2 GPA. He is a member of the Art club, AFS, French Club and the Academic Superbowl. Brandon was on the soccer team. Brandon plans to attend Indiana University.
BOYS SWIMMING
T
he boys’ swim team is 3-7 on the season. The Pilgrims lost to CMA 69-113 and beat Tippecanoe Valley last week 110-65. Against Valley, 1st place finishes went to Elliot Eads, 200 free & 100 free, Jared Hill, 200 IM & 500 free, Ben Shor�, 100 fly, Tom Serf, 100 back and the 200 medley relay, Levi Schuler, Brandon Brashere, Clayton Maddox, and Jake Martin, and the 200 free relay, Schuler, Cody Poczik, Shor� and Hill. At the NLC Championships, Ellio� Eads is the only PHS swimmer to make the finals. Eads finished 7th in the 50 free and Brady Ruffing finished 8th in diving. The Pilgrims finished 8th . Plymouth

GIRLS SWIMMING
T
he PHS girls’ swim team lost their last meet of the season to S.B. St. Joseph 53-127. Katelyn Brown, 100 breast, was the only Plymouth swimmer to finish first. The Pilgrims will compete in the IHSAA Sectional finals on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Warsaw with the diving competition at 9:00 am and the consolation and finals in all events at 1:00 pm.

WRESTLING

he wrestling team finished 5th at the NLC Championships and 3rd at the IHSAA Sectional. Senior, Jacob Segraves, 195, and junior, DeAndre Pickford, 220, were both Sectional Champions and will advance to the Rochester Regional Saturday, Feb. 4, at 9:00 am. Other wrestlers advancing to the Regional, Ian Horvath, 160, John Mills, 103, Luke Shumacher, 126, and Drew Dodson, Hwt.

he gymnastics team is 3-0 on the season. Plymouth beat West Noble 98.55-81.2 Freshman, Cassi Quissell set a
new school record on the beam with a score of 9.4. Besides winning the beam, Quissell, also took first on the vault and the floor and All Around. Sophomore, Nicky Davis, back a�er an injury, won the bars competition. Senior, Maggie Morrow, was second place All Around. Plymouth will compete in the Lakeland Inv. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 11:00 am. Plymouth will host Warsaw, on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 pm in their last home meet of the season.
