BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
BOYS JV
he varsity boys’ basketball team is 11-5 on the season. The Pilgrims played two overtime games during the last two weeks. Plymouth lost to conference rival, Goshen, in double overtime 5855 on a last second 3-point shot. Junior, Joe Knapp, had the best performance of his season scoring 22 points. Mack Mercer scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had 2 assists. Ryan McNeil had 9 points with 2 assists. The next evening the Pilgrims pulled out the overtime game against New Prairie by 3 points, 48-45. McNeil hit a 3-point shot at the end of regulation to put the game into overtime. McNeil led the team with 12 points. Knapp scored 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Ike Kastner added 7 points.
he JV boys’ basketball team is 5-11 on the season. Plymouth lost to Goshen 24-31 and to New Prairie 21-34. Plymouth will host Wawasee on Thursday, Feb. 16, for their last home game of the season starting at 6:15 pm and will travel to John Glenn on Tuesday, Feb. 21, for the last regular season game starting time 6:00 pm.

BOYS FRESHMAN
T
he freshman boys’ basketball team is 10-8 on the season. The last couple of weeks the young Pilgrims beat Mishawaka 36-30, and lost to Valparaiso 16-19 and to LaPorte 22-46. Against Rochester, the Pilgrims won 47-22. Plymouth finished their season hosting the NLC tournament on Saturday, Feb. 11. The freshmen were coached by Grant Fulton.
GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

he varsity girls’ basketball finished their regular season with a 6-14 record. Plymouth lost their last two games of the season to Goshen 37-44. Freshman, Hunter Stevens, led the team with 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Fellow freshman, Haley Harrell, had 10 points and junior, Amber Redinger had 6 points and 10 rebounds along with junior, Carly Baker, adding 6 points and 4 rebounds. Plymouth lost to S.B. St. Joseph 24-28. Stevens led the team with 8 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Redinger scored 6 points and grabbed 2 rebounds. Lauren Tanner led the team in rebounds with 5. Senior, Brittany Himes, had 5 assists. The Pilgrims competed in the IHSAA Sectional last weekend.
GIRLS JV BASKETBALL
T
he JV girls’ basketball team finished their season with a 15-5 record. The Pilgrims finished their season beating Goshen 32-25. Kaydon Fosler led the team with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Dylan Holiday added 9 points and Savannah Mae 6. Plymouth came back from a 6-18 deficit to beat S.B. St. Joseph 21-23 in a total team effort. Fosler scored 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds and Holiday had 6 points and 4 rebounds to lead the team. Eric Carmichael coached the JV team.

he freshman girls’ basketball team finished their regular season with a record of 10-8. Plymouth captured the NLC Tournament beating Tippecanoe Valley 39-25 and Concord 28-25 in the Championship game. The freshmen were coached by Ted Hayden and Dan Dewar.

Scholar Athlete of the Month The Scholar/athlete for the month of February is Brandon Baird, son of Brian & Laura Baird. Brandon is 9th in his class with an 11.2 GPA. He is a member of the Art club, AFS, French Club and the Academic Superbowl. Brandon was on the soccer team. Brandon plans to attend Indiana University.

GIRLS SWIMMING
T
he girls’ swim team finished 7th at the IHSAA Sectional at Warsaw. Senior diver, Alayna Holmquest, advanced to the IHSAA diving regional. Holmquest finished 15th with a score of 214.3 at the regional. The Pilgrims were coached by Katie Kappler and Beth Corbe� and the dive coach was Leanne Senter.

he PHS boys’ swim team finished their regular season 5-9. The Pilgrims lost to CMA 79-140 and to Bremen 79-102 in a 3-way meet. Plymouth finished their regular season beating Knox 145-70 and Tippecanoe Valley 14582. Winning first place finishes were Tom Serf, 100 fly & 100 back, Blake Milliser, 200 free, Levi Schuler, 200 IM, Jared Hill, 100 free, Ma� Pearson, 500 free, the 200 free relay, Benn Short, Clayton Maddox, Jordan Wendel, Hill and 400 free relay, Hill, Milliser, Shor� and Elliot Eads. Plymouth will compete in the IHSAA Sectional with the prelims on Thursday, Feb. 16, at Warsaw at 5:00 pm and the finals on Saturday, Feb. 18, with diving at 9:00 am.

THE GYMNASTICS TEAM finished 5th at the Merrillville Inv. and 6th in the Lakeland Inv. The Pilgrims lost to LaPorte 95.5 – 104. Plymouth will travel to Logansport on Thursday, Feb. 23, for a 3-way with Peru. The Pilgrims will compete in the IHSAA Sectional on Saturday, March 3, at Wawasee. 13
