One of the advantages of creating the Plymouth School of Inquiry is the ability to integrate college courses within Plymouth High School. The classroom space that the Plymouth School of Inquiry would make available in the high school would be used to launch Plymouth University.

The Plymouth School of Inquiry is a partnership with the New Tech Network that will offer a completely new way of learning for our students.

Students will: •Learn the skills needed for success in the 21st Century job market.

•Discover Indiana Academic Standards through the use of technology and high interest projects.

•Focus on teamwork and 21st century skills development.

•Contribute to their school and community through volunteer efforts.

This joint venture with area colleges would allow all Plymouth students to earn college credit while still in high school. The hopes of the administration would be for Plymouth students to earn at least 12 credits and potentially as much as an associates degree upon graduation from high school.

Currently we are in discussions with Ancilla College, Ivy Tech and IUSB to bring this opportunity to our students.

How can we partner with the Plymouth School of Inquiry?

In order for the Plymouth School of Inquiry to become a reality, we will need to raise approximately $2.75 million. This money is divided into two categories: 1. New Tech Network Fee/Equipment ( $750,000) • 4 Years of training and professional development for teachers and administrators •Access to New Tech Network Resources •Use of NTN’s management software, ECHO 2. Building Reconfiguration ( $2,000,000)

What are the investment levels?

Investors can invest in the Plymouth School of Inquiry by committing to donate funds at a variety of investment levels.

Investors will be recognized in a variety of ways at the school. Investment levels are as follows: •Lab Classrooms •Classrooms •Presentation Rooms •Commons Area •Wall of Distinction

Community Partnerships: The Plymouth School of Inquiry is making a bold move to better prepare our students to participate effectively in our community and economy. In an effort to accomplish this, we will: ✦ Partner with community groups, higher education institutes, and businesses in and outside of Marshall County. ✦ Utilize integrated classes to combine disciplines and provide a more relevant and engaging learning experience.

Providing a 21st Century Education

✦ Develop entrepreneurial skills. ✦ Earn at least 12 College Credits. ✦ Connect learning to other subjects to the post high school world. ✦ Participate in an internship during junior and/or senior year.

✦ Shift instructional strategies to better prepare students for a global and information based society. ✦Engage students in project based curricular units with real world application that utilizes teamwork to increase relevance and rigor. ✦ Create a culture of trust, respect, and responsibility among students and staff in a small school environment. ✦ Evaluate students on Indiana State Standards as well as work ethic, teamwork, critical thinking, oral, writing and technology literacy.
