Programs for 2021

Each year the CCYA’s National Board meets in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, for our annual winter meeting. Due to this year’s circumstances, the meeting was held January 17th virtually via Zoom. During the meeting, we discussed changes to be made to improve the experiences and programs for the Charolais Youth members. We would like to thank everyone who donated and bought semen in our Semen Auction fundraiser. proceeds go towards the Leadership Scholarship awarded each year, and are very greatly appreciated. Each spring, the CCYA National Board runs our annual Genetics Program for junior members to receive two free straws of semen from any bull in the Genex or Semex catalogues. This program is a great chance for youth to take part in planning their breeding programs and make decisions for the upcoming breeding season. In order to take part in this program, the members must be a 2021 CCYA member and must fill out the application form. Make sure to keep an eye out for the
