Lighting of the Candles Placing of the Bible Prayer of Confession Merciful God, in sending your son you made it possible for us to live with the hope of heaven. By faith in him we receive eternal life and because he was raised from the dead we also live with resurrection hope. We confess that talk of heaven is often used as an escape from the realities that surround us. For this reason we rarely talk of heaven at all. Forgive our stunted vision of what you have promised to us. Remind us that in your presence there is fullness of joy and pleasures forever at your right hand. We look to our future with confident hope only because of your grace freely given to us in Jesus. Restore us by that grace as we offer our silent prayers of confession…

Offering Our Gifts We Walk by Faith  Jan Sanborn We walk by faith and not by sight. We trust in God and not in might. For in our darkness He is light. We walk by faith and not by sight. Sometimes trials come our way. We don’t know what to do or say. But we know God will make a way If we will trust, trust and obey. We trust in God and in His Son. What God has promised will be done. And as each journey is begun His Holy Spirit makes us one. We may not fully understand, But we are guided by His hand. And as we follow faith’s command God leads us to the Promised Land.
