Lighting of Candles/Placing the Bible Psalm Reading* Leader: Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. People: We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. Leader: They shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn, that he has done it. ALL: Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. —from Psalm 145, 78, 22 Life of the Congregation**

O, I’m leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms; O, I’m leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

Hymn of Response* Fairest Lord Jesus #135 Invitation and Benediction* Postlude
What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, Leaning on the everlasting arms. O, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; O, how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms. What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blessed peace with my Lord, so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms.

We are grateful for Lou’s service and leadership over the last 11 years. With long and deep ties to Peachtree, Lou joined the staff in 2004 from a career at SunTrust. As Executive Director of Church Business Affairs, Lou has led in stewarding Peachtree’s resources with the highest degree of personal integrity and professional acumen. As Lou tells people, he’s just changing his seat as he officially retires. Thank you Lou!
