Hymn of Praise† How Firm a Foundation #369 Lighting of the Candles Placing of the Bible Prayer of Confession Eternal and gracious Lord, we confess to you today that our lives seem filled with noise. Elevators and lobbies play music, car stereos are automatic, our TVs at home seem always to be on. There is white noise in our offices, chatter from crowds, omnipresent cell phones, and ever-present ear buds. We inhabit a world that is uncomfortable with silence. Yet we admit that often it is only when we grow still and quiet that we can hear you. Forgive our tendency to avoid you by filling our lives with sound and thus, obscuring your voice. Help us as we continue our unspoken confession, to hear you in silence…
When I was sinking down, O my soul, O my soul. When I was sinking down beneath God’s righteous frown, Christ laid aside His crown for my soul. What wondrous love is this O my soul, O my soul. What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss To send His precious peace to my soul. Doxology† Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow #544

Each year the first Thursday of May is designated as the National Day of Prayer —a time for Christians across the nation to gather and lift their prayers on behalf of our country. On Thursday, May 4, you are invited to join us in the Kellett Chapel at 7:00 pm for a time of worship and prayer for our nation and its leaders. peachtreechurch.org/nationaldayofprayer

Women, join us for a six-week journey together based on Rebekah Lyon’s study, You Are Free: Be Who You Already Are. The study, offered on Tuesdays at 10:00 am or Wednesdays at 7:00 pm beginning June 13, will provide real-life ways to grow our faith, connect in community and dive into Scripture through teaching, video sessions, small group discussion, and prayer. Sign up for either class online. peachtreechurch.org/youarefree
