SERMON OUTLINE
GOD IS SOVEREIGN
Psalm 145
The Kingdom of God
“Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” – Exodus 19:5b-6a
“Now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.” – 1 Samuel 8:5
“The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” – Mark 1:15
“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” – Colossians 1:13-14
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.” – Revelation 11:15
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.” – Hebrews 12:28
The Difference of God’s Kingdom
• His reign is not temporary.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The L ord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. – Psalm 145:13a
• His motive is not anger.
The L ord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. – Psalm 145:8
• His provision is not scarce.
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. – Psalm 145:16
• His accessibility is not restricted.
The L ord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. – Psalm 145:18
Daily Dwell: February 9-15
“You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.”
