Amen. Offering Our Gifts

Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow - #544

Listen to God’s Word

Prayer of Confession Gracious and loving God, your patience with us is infinite and your mercies are new every day. Time and time again we fall short of who you have called us to be. We willfully ignore your words and carelessly wander from your way. And yet you relentlessly draw us to yourself. Your grace refuses to let us go. We give you thanks for your patience with us. Change us by your power that we might extend that same patience to others in our life, allowing you to do your good work in them. We turn to you now, trusting in your steadfast love as we offer our silent prayers of confession . . .

Sometimes we think of the “end of summer feeling” as a grief process. From fun and freedom, we return to joyless routines that leave us feeling half alive. Is there a way to look forward to the fall months with passion and spiritual purpose? In John 15, Jesus says, “I’m the vine. You’re the branches.” Then he adds a single word: “Remain.” Learn how this word holds the key to achieving a mind over the grind.
