ADVENT SUNDAY
Today is the fourth Sunday of Advent. Advent is a season of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus on Christmas. Advent candles help us keep watch for the coming of Jesus. Today we relight the candles of hope, peace, and joy; and we light the fourth candle of Advent. This is the candle of love. As the coming of Jesus, our Savior, draws nearer, our love for the Christ Child grows with our anticipation of his birth.
