Lighting the Candles Placing the Bible Prayer of Confession Merciful God, we confess today that we do not always use humor in healthy ways. We use it to mask our true feelings; we hide anger, fear, and discomfort behind laughter, and refuse to acknowledge that we hurt others in the process. We also admit that sometimes we overlook your sense of humor; we see you as too serious and forget that you gifted us with humor from your joy-filled Spirit. Forgive us for these, and all our sins, which we confess now in silence…
I am weak but Thou art strong. Jesus keep me from all wrong. I’ll be satisfied as long As I walk, let me walk, close to Thee. Through this world of toil and snares, If I falter, Lord, who cares? Who with me my burden shares? None but Thee, none but Thee. Just a closer walk with Thee, Jesus, grant my humble plea! Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be, Dear Lord, let it be.

Many parts of the globe experience critical food shortages. Peachtree’s Seeds of Hope seed packing event is making a difference. Seeds represent a future. When they are planted and grow, they produce gardens that grow more than food—they grow hope. A garden can feed 6–8 people for a year, plus produce seeds for the future planting season. A single garden can transform a family from food scarcity to sustainability in a single growing season. Join us next weekend as we pack seeds for over 61,000 family gardens for our mission partners in Malawi and Liberia. Give communities the hope that comes with food security. peachtreechurch.org/seedsofhope
