CELEBRATION OF WORSHIP

Peachtree is a community of Jesus followers inviting people to love God in heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Assemble in God’s Name Prelude

Congregational Introit * Christ is Made the Sure Foundation Prayer of Adoration*

Give Praise to God

Hymn of Praise ** Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above  #15 Placing of the Bible Prayer of Confession Gracious God, we say that we believe you are at work in the world, but too often we overlook your acts. We believe your Spirit is working in the lives of people to draw them to you, but we are hesitant to believe you would use us to reach them. Forgive us for the times we are hesitant to speak for you or to share the faith that makes our lives meaningful. Help us to have the courage of our convictions and the boldness of a sure faith in you. Forgive our reticence and our other sins as we admit them in silence now… Assurance of God’s Forgiveness Congregational Response* Glory Be to the Father  #546 Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen. Life of the Congregation

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Everyone carries brokenness. We are as stones, once whole, now shattered. The master craftsman, God, makes beauty from the pieces of our lives. God creates a mosaic out of our grief. There is beauty in the midst of your brokenness. Share your grief and let others help you discover the work of art God can make in you. The church is the place where the wounded gather. Peachtree is made up of wounded people who are being made whole and beautiful by the glue of grace. GriefShare, a faith-based support group, features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. A new group will be meeting for 13 weeks starting August 15, from 7:00– 8:30 pm in the Harrington Library just off the Williams Center. For more information or to sign up, contact Carol Hughes at 770-449-7451 or hug.carol@gmail.com.
