CELEBRATION OF WORSHIP

Peachtree is a community of Jesus followers inviting people to follow God in heart, mind, and strength.

ASSEMBLE IN GOD’S NAME Prelude

Congregational Introit* Christ Is Made the Sure Foundation Prayer of Adoration*

GIVE PRAISE TO GOD

Hymn of Praise** Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty  #1 Lighting of Candles Placing the Bible Prayer of Confession Merciful God, like Moses we often try to hide our sin from you and from others. We bury the broken places of our lives beneath layers of busyness. We cover what is unsightly in us by looking good and smiling easily. With these words of confession we freely acknowledge what is already known to you. With our confession we lay aside the burden of always hiding and pretending. Search us now and know our hearts. Make us bold to uncover our sin, that we might receive the mercy freely offered to us in Jesus. Do this even now as we offer our silent prayers of confession… Assurance of God’s Forgiveness Congregational Response* Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing  #379 (v. 3) Life of the Congregation**

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Offering Our Gifts My Shepherd Will Supply My Need

Invitation and Benediction*

Mack Wilberg

Postlude Tuba Tune in D Major  C. S. Lang

My Shepherd will supply my need: Jehovah is His name; In pastures fresh He makes me feed, beside the living stream. He brings my wandering spirit back when I forsake His ways, And leads me, for His mercy’s sake, in paths of truth and grace. When I walk through the shades of death, Thy presence is my stay; One word of Thy supporting breath drives all my fears away. Thy hand, in sight of all my foes, doth still my table spread; My cup with blessings overflows, Thine oil anoints my head. The sure provisions of my God attend me all my days; O may Thy house be my abode, and all my work be praise! There would I find a settled rest, while others go and come; No more a stranger, nor a guest, but like a child at home.

The beautiful flowers in the Sanctuary this morning are given to the glory of God and in Loving Memory of: Betty and Phelps Guild by Jay and Claudia Guild Kallos

If your young child needs attention during worship, live broadcasts of the service are available in the Williams Center and the Family Room off of the Williams Center.
